We booked the Tour spontaneously the night before the trip. After the confirmation I was contacted directly via what’s app. We were picked up from our hotel around 08.45am and arrived at the mambo beach club around 10am. Our tour guides Juan, Asia and Diego were super friendly and helpful. They explained the schedule for this trip and answered questions. We were seated and the club , they provided us a welcome drink. Lunch was included, we had chicken with rice and salad. The drinks were not included. You could rent a bed for 120000 pesos, which we did. The normal Sun beds without an umbrella are free, same with the couches inside the club. Juan picked us up at 03.50 pm and went together to the bus for the drive back to Cartagena. We were dropped off at the hotel around 5pm. Thanks for the good time we had! Isla baru, playa Blanca are beautiful and a must see!!!

The outing was nice and the guide was attentive to people and their belongings. He gave a lot of info and was very flexible. The club could be better kept but overall the experience was good.

If you are looking for peace and quiet, don't go on this tour. Mambo Beach Club is horrible. The space is small, and when I went there was no water in the bathroom. Electronic music was playing at full volume. There is no privacy, and there is always a salesperson trying to sell you something. We had a problem with one of the women who offered massages, she wanted to charge double the agreed price. It's the kind of thing that changes your mood. However, the beach is wonderful! The aviary is also worth it. Oh, the bus broke down halfway there, and it took 40 minutes for them to send another one. It is a complete experience in an underdeveloped country.

It was actually an amazing trip UNTIL we arrived at our drop off point. We were dropped off approximately a 15 minute walk away from our pickup point, at NIGHT, and left by our tour guide to “walk to it on our own.” We are not Colombian natives so we were extremely unnerved as we were unfamiliar with the area and had been advised by more considerate natives not to walk in certain areas and this was one of the specified areas. Drop off people, where you picked them up next time. Great beach though. Great service at Mambo as well.

This place was amazing, the location was better and we took the tour with vale, she explained everything. Also, the food was delicious

Our guides were great. The beach club is pretty beat up (broken chairs and cabanas) but the people were great. Boats and seadoos close to shore made it worrisome to swim.

DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT GOING TO THIS BEACH. It is run by the cartels, I noticed what appeared to be check points - groups of gangs in motorcycles- as we got closer to the beach. The beach is dirty, overridden and run by the cartels. We were surrounded by a gang while there and demanded that we pay them to be there. We arrived by private uber. We were able to get to our van and depart the area all the while a police stood by watching this happen and did nothing. We were in A Royal Carribean cruise. The cruise ships should stop going to this area. Cartagena is not worth the risk. We were also treated the same while in town. Bombarded and harassed by cartel members to the point we just had to go back to the ship. This port was a waste of time.

I will start this review by saying that they deliver everything as promised. They picked my wife and I up at the hotel. They took us to Playa Blanca. We stayed at a day club. We got served food. We were taken out on a boat to see the plankton. And, we were dropped back off at our hotel. That’s about all I can say positively about the whole experience. Beyond that, this excursion was awful. Everything they promised was delivered, but it was the worst possible quality at every step of the way. First off, they give the impression that it’s about a 45-minute ride from the Bocagrande/Walled City/Getsemani area. It actually took us about 2.5 hours to get out there and about 1.5 hours to get back. And the reason it took so long to get out there was that we weren’t picked up in a shuttle. We were actually picked up in a tiny car that wasn’t much bigger than a Smart Car. The roads to Playa Blanca are so torn up that it was a terrible ride down that anyone with motion sickness probably wouldn’t be able to survive. Once we got to Playa Blanca, the area we got dropped off at was very dirty and had a lot of trash strewn around, but it got worse once we got to the “beach club”. Mambo Beach is less of a beach club and more of a bunch of sticks pounded into the sand. It looked like a giant shack and the place did not have running water. We had to flush the toilets using a rain barrel. The meal I got had a fly in the salad in addition to being hounded by flies and stray dogs while we tried to eat our meal. Everything was dirty including the day beds and the towels we rented. When it was time to get on the boat. They crammed about 24 people into a boat that could safely hold 8-10. Also, there was no ladder to get safely on and off the boat. Instead, they just had people jumping off the side of the boat, and it felt like the boat could tip over at any time. On top of that, we were out there at night and the boat had no lights in the pitch dark. The bioluminescent tour is kind of dangerous and I’m surprised they don’t have more accidents. I don’t know where all these 5-star reviews are coming from, but this tour felt like a waste of the day. Just terrible quality all around. Save your money.

Such a good full day trip and chilling spaces for having lunch… our guide Jason was annoying and a good fella during our stay.

This place is spectacular, quiet, clean, and the service is very good, I recommend it to all visitors. You must visit this place.

The place was great, from arrival until we left. All the workers were always very attentive and helpful, don't worry about that part. On the other hand, I think they can make an improvement in the bathrooms, and try to organize and take over the space upstairs (second floor), I hope to return soon.

Mambo Beach is an incredible destination. The beach is beautiful, with crystal-clear waters and soft sand. The staff provides excellent service, always friendly and attentive. The food is delicious, offering a great variety of fresh and well-prepared options. The drinks are refreshing and perfectly served, ideal for enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. There’s also a great vibe with good music and amenities like lounge chairs and umbrellas. Without a doubt, it’s a perfect place to unwind and enjoy the Caribbean. Highly recommended for those looking for an unforgettable beach experience!
