Don’t book this tour. The company, This Is Cartagena, doesn’t work with TripAdvisor anymore. If you do book, you’ll be stood up and receive zero communication and have to request a refund. DO NOT BOOK THIS.

I am inexcusably late with this review! My husband and I took a private tour of Getsemaní in February 2019, and Ronald was the best guide we could have asked for. Our tour was entertaining and educational, and perfectly paced. We got lots of information and tons of photo ops, we got to play dominoes, and Ronald showed us tons of spots we never would have found on our own. And as an added bonus, he even spotted a sloth up in one of the trees for us at the end of the tour! We had a great time, and will definitely do another tour when we return to Cartagena.

We booked the three hour walking tour of the Centro Historico with "This is Cartagena." Our guide was Ronald Monsalve and we just loved him! He was knowledgeable about the history of Cartagena, flexible about our desire to visit several shops, and acted as our official translator. Best of all, he was SO MUCH FUN! We very much enjoyed the time we spent with him and would hire him again in a heartbeat. We highly recommend both the company and Ronald.

What a wonderful city . As cruise passengers were dependant on whatever the company had organised , but if the port had been a little nearer the old town we might have done our own thing . However the tour and the guide were good . Given that we had only a relatively short time to see the sights we managed to see quite a lot of this delightful city . The high point was the drive through the narrow streets of the old town in horse drawn carriages and the opportunity to appreciate the old buildings so lovingly restored . As our ship was so far from the town on our drive to and from we saw quite a bit of the 'other' Cartegena and realised this is a modern and vibrant city . On our departure , by night , from the port the skyscrapers gave us an impressive last look at the city .

Well what a waste. Beautiful city, amazing history.... Butin the old town we could not walk 10 steps without water, bangles, sunglasses, leather goods etc being aggressively shoved in our face. Worst street hawkers ever. We were told a beer would be 20 us dollars each... We found another cafe with a sour faced local who managed to get us a beer for 7 total... So CHECK! 6 people tried to sell us stuff as we drank, then the busker tried to gouge us for money after singing like a strangled cat. Without these folk this could be a destination, but it felt unsafe and aggressive

Excellent tour the drivers of the carriages could have been more informative. Beautiful old city people very friendly. Lots of sellers around. 2nd time taking this tour would do it again.

Colombia is a great place to visit, but having a tour guide like Rodolfo made our experience 10 times better. He is extremely knowledgeable as well as fluent in a English and Spanish which is extremely rare in Colombia. His recommendations as well as attention to detail is what makes me recommend you requesting him. He made sure that we were not overcharged for anything as well as we felt safe during every experience. I highly recommend using him. A1 customer service.

We had an amazing time island hopping through the Rosario Islands. We had the opportunity to visit different parts of the islands while having a grand time. I can honestly say our trip would not have been as great had we have the best tour guide I’ve ever experienced In life. Rudolpho was AMAZING!!!!! He was very informative, engaging and well knowledgeable. I will definitely be using This is Cartagena again and I’ll be requesting Rudolpho.

I recommend this trip to everyone. We had a perfect day, firstly the team was super professional, attentive and smiling. It is even better than what they sold us, the Rosarios Islands are spectacular and the different stops proposed by the team are all as wonderful as each other. our concierge, Rodolpho make that day even better, he is the best, ask for him you won't be disappointed. For sure i would do again next time im in Cartagena.

We had such a great experience. The VIP option was worth every penny in terms of elevated service and luxury. Every detail, from the quiet pristine beach to the awesome cabanas was taken care of. It was also a more relaxing option. I also appreciated working with This is Cartegena, as they were much more communicative and helpful than other companies I've used/

The three hour tour included all the main sights: the church plaza where the revolution against Spain started, a furniture making district, beautiful murals along every street, the emerald factory/museum, the slave plaza, centennial park, and more.

Our guide Manuel was great. He told us all kinds of things about the city: historical information and also social history. The pace was nice, not too fast in the heat. We had a fun time with Manuel.

Organized a last minute private tour combining the city and street food. Josè our guide was excellent - the tour was flexible and we got to see and eat everything we wanted via private car and walking. Highly recommend!

So frustrated. The tour operator sent a welcome e-mail with a starting address and map link embedded in the e-mail. When I showed, no one was there.I waited a few minutes, checked to see if there were missed notifications or calls, no. When I went into the trip advisor detail section on the website, the location was entirely different. I took a taxi over but missed the group and the boat. I’ve reached out via e-mail asking for an explanation of why they sent me to an erroneous place and requested a refund. I have not heard back. So disappointed as this was the top attraction on my list of things to do in week in Cartagena. I hope they make the situation right.
