I had a wonderful day with Luis and Sophia walking around a beautiful private forest outside of Cartagena. Luis knew where to look for the birds and how to call them in. We saw or heard 54 species. My favorite was the Russet Throated Puffbird, but I never get tired of seeing toucans and mot mots! After birding for several hours we went to the home of the owner of the the farm/forest and had fruit and coffee. The grounds were gorgeous. Then we went out and birded some more before coming back to the house for a full "country breakfast" consisting of homemade cheese and a special arrepa among other tasty things. Then back out for more birds. It was a terrific day if you like looking for cool birds in a beautiful setting with good guides.

My daughter and I had a delightful day with our guide, Sophia, in Baru and the other Rosario Islands. We arrived in Baru and had a great breakfast with a Baru styled arrepa. After breakfast we boarded a boat for a tour of the beautiful islands. We stopped for a fabulous snorkel in the crystal clear, coral and fish filled waters of the Caribbean. After touring we headed back to Baru to visit the aviary there. The grounds are beautiful and it was really cool to be that close to so many neat birds. A great day.

This was by far probably the best experience I had in Colombia! It was my birthday and truly memorable. I enjoyed getting to learn about the history of the horses and different types walks with full demonstrations. The restaurant is really nice while we wait for the horses to come to the beach with nice beverages included. The horseback ride itself on the beach was amazing! I'm a beginner and I was matched with a horse that fit my speed and personality 😊. The pictures and videos came out great!!! They are professional quality so you don't have to worry about taking pics with your phone, you won't be disappointed. The dinner afterwards was delicious and have nice vegan &vegetarian options. What made my day was they surprised me with cake and sung Happy Birthday to me 🥳. Luis by far was the best tour guide/host that made this day one of my most memorable birthdays. Thank you!

Extremely special and amazing. The whole family had a magical late afternoon learning about Colombian horses and riding them on the beach. This was followed by a beautiful sunset dinner. All of us are inexperienced riders. The host did a wonderful job teaching and supporting us as we learned to ride the horses solo on the beach and in the waves. Maria and her father are super hosts and guides. Highly recommend this tour.

Look no further if you want to discover and enjoy the culture, history, fauna, and flora of Rosario Islands. From the smooth communication with Luis to the attentiveness of our driver, guide, and boat captain / snorkeling assistant, this full-day experience was very enjoyable and informative. No doubt we would have barely seen half if we had decided to get there on our own with an overcrowding tourist boat departing from Cartagena. The day was a nice balance of nature discovery and relaxation on a paradisiac beach. Enjoying a breakfast of arepas and fruits and a lunch of fish and coconut rice in a traditional private home on Baru island is an experience we won’t forget.

Absolute 100% must do! The only thing better than visiting one of the most beautiful places in the world is the experience of learning the culture first hand. This tour offers it all. While traveling solo for the first time and loving to horseback ride, I booked this tour while my stay in Cartagena. I was very happy with the tour, history and professionalism of this company and Maria (who despite being so young) is extremely knowledgeable about horses. She will instruct you on how to ride their horses, give you a little demonstration of their horses distinct walk and while on the beach will take the most stunning pictures for your keepsake. I was very drilled to know more about the history of Colombian horses and was very happy with my pictures and having to ride the gorgeous chocolate brown "Muneca". If you love horseback riding, I strongly recommend this tour!

This was by far one of the best experiences we had in Colombia! Louis and his daughter were incredible from start to finish-meticulous in details and exuding warmth and kindness the entire day. We learned a ton about the horses, then saddled up and hit the beach! For all you photo lovers out there-Louis is quite the photographer!! The pics he captured were breathtaking!

This tour was definitely the highlight to our trip to Cartagena. If you are in Cartagena or are planning a trip there, please do not leave without taking this tour. Everything from beginning to end was phenomenal. Luis and Maria picked us up right on time, took us to the farm were the horses were, gave us an explanation of how to handle the horses and they even let us pick which ones we wanted to ride. After, we went to the beach where we rode for almost two hours. They took plenty of pictures and a super fun video.. all included in the price. We finished a delicious lunch at the Melia hotel and then they took us to the hotel. Luis and Maria made the entire experience enjoyable. They were friendly, careful and knowledgeable. Luis went above and beyond and even recommended us several restaurants in town, which did not disappoint. My husband and I recommended this tour 1000%. We will definitely visit again when we come back to Colombia.

I had a wonderful experience with Luis. He picked me up at my hotel in the morning and he started giving me some information about Cartagena straight away. He was very informative and his English was very good. He brought me to the stables and gave me a quick lesson about their horses and their history. We then proceeded to go to the beach and meet up with the horses. We were riding along the beach and in the water. I had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Luis took some great photos. After the Horse Riding was finished, we went for a delicious lunch. Luis dropped me back to my hotel. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience and very professional. I will highly recommend it to people visiting Cartagena.

I would recommend this tour for anyone with an interest in history, horses, beautiful scenery and relaxation. Maria and her staff are very professional! My daughter and I went on a late afternoon tour and ride along the beach. The history of the breed, different gaits, and expert teaching made the ride very safe and relaxing. I did not have very much riding experience, and had a wonderful time. Maria and staff go at "your pace" meaning they do not rush you in the experience of you getting used to the horse you ride. A great way to get an authentic tropical beach experience that doesn't involve putting on a swimsuit! The meal and drinks that came with the package were excellent! Drop off and pick up just steps from our hotel doorstep made this a no brainer trip!! Will come back and do this again on next trip!!
