Great experience, staff, and busses. We always do a hop on hop off with this company no matter the city we are in and never had a problem.

Be very careful when hiring this service in Cartagena, Columbia. They do not pick up at the cruise terminal. If you have pre purchased tickets they may arrange a taxi to stop number 2. If you plan on buying tickets on the spot you will pay a surcharge plus the taxi fare. Once dropped off at stop #2, be prepared to wait 15-20 minutes for the next bus. Our bus was clean and our guide was attractive and pleasant. If you elect to have them return you to the cruise ship be prepared for a long wait. Ours was well over an hour while they promised a bus was coming, then told us they were going to wait for 2 more passengers, then told us there was something wrong with the bus, then said they would be calling another bus soon. We had to demand all of this information from them while they sat at a table in front of us and ate their lunch. We had had enough and like several other passengers hired taxi's to take us back to the cruise ship. I have hired several Hop On Hop Off busses around the world and have always had excellent service but here in Cartagena their lack of candor, their "I don't care" attitude, and their ability to lie with ease earns this outlet 2 stars . It should be one star but our guide was very nice. Oh, and the company rep was happ to smirk at my camera.

Great tour but VERY HOT! Caution the vendors are very aggressive. I understand they have to make a living as we all do but when you are on vacation you do not want to be attacked every 10 seconds you get no break! It is the entire island that it is that way but this tour was the worst with the vendors.

Terrible, the confirmation said "easy walk to bus pick up" There was no pick up and no bus where we were told to meet it. We had to pay an addition $30.00 fee to get another bus line to take us. This took over an hour to locate another company. Everything we were told about the pickup was a waste of time. I want my money back! I tried to reach Trip Advisor by phone and never had anyone pick up the line. I will never use Trip advisor again!

Really a zero. Time was posted on stop #6. We waited a full hour, no bus showed up. Don’t purchase in advance.

This trip was a shore excursion from Azamara Cruise Ship. It was advertised as a 90 minute round trip. We decided to do the round trip and go back to an area if we liked get off. It is fortunate we did stay on as the round trip took two and a half hours!!! If we had gone back anywhere we would have missed the last bus back! Some interesting sites though

Under no circumstances take this tour if you have mobility issues. The busses cannot be accessed by a wheelchair because the ramp is too steep. If you take this HOHO from a cruise ship you will be required to change busses multiple times and will not be taken back to the ship. You will be dropped off at an aviary that requires you to walk through the displays and then back to the ship. This was a nightmare excursion and my mother fell because she couldn't stay in her wheelchair. They required her to sign a form saying she wasn't injured even though she was hurt. Our bus was unable to make it up a small bridge and we had to wait for a different bus to come get us. The person leading my walking tour did a great job though.

After buying the tickets we learned that the bus only accepts paper tickets while our other tour does. One must query how does once have printer access in a VBRO. Why in this era do we need paper

Long stops and short drives. They claimed that you have to start at a spwcific point, but you can start everywhere. This would have saved a lot of time and hassle if we would have know.

Don't trust Tripadvisor. Booked and paid for the Hop-On-Hop - Off bus tour in CARTAGENA. We were instructed which stop to jump on. We stayed for 1 and a half hours for 30 degrees. No bus came. We asked a store that told us when the station was closed. We had to take a taxi into the city center to find the starting point. The whole day was ruined. Also can't find where I can complain and get the money back.

There was someone at cruise ship dock (we booked this on are own not thru cruise ship) to tell us where we need to go to get transfer to hop on hop off bus.It was not a far walk didn't have to take a taxi, this was great !!! We had a great time . We got a lot of information about Cartagena riding the bus. Got to do lots of sightseeing.Just wish we had more time. Would do this again !!!!! The staff for hop on hop off bus where VERY FRIENDLY & VERY HELPFUL, they even got us back to cruise terminal, no extra charge. We would do this again if we ever go back !!! Thank You

We went by taxi to 'stop 3' San Sebastian De Pastelillo (the nearest stop to the port) where we waited for 50 mins and the bus never came. We caught another taxi to the old city and wasted a lot of time trying to find the bus stops. The tourist info booth there was no help. The free 90 minute walk was at 4pm so no good as we had to get back to the ship. The buses are every 50 mins and the stops are far apart so too long and too hot to wait around if you miss one. Save your money and use taxis for $10 each way instead. You can walk around the old city by yourself.

For most of your cruisers complaining about the heat, the vendors, the humidity and all other issues you may not have in your beloved country or on the multi bizillion people on the cruise ship. Stay on the ship or stay home.

The buses are dirty. Very dirty. They might wipe the windows. But not the seats, railings, grab poles, floor. Heck the floor needs detergent used on it!! So they don't tell you all that is going on. Their drop near the walled city portion is ok to exit the bus BUT then you would have to dodge fast moving traffic across a 4 lane road that is just way too dangerous. No crosswalk or light there. No way. All the other stops were over run with beggars and steet vendors that run at the bus as soon as it stops and if you exit you are bombarded by many, followed etc. Just not a fun time at all. Plus when we got to the drop off point they said it would be an hour wait before a smaller bus came to take us to the port to get back on the ship. Just don't leave the port.

I booked Cartagena "hop on -hop off" bus from Pullmantur cruises. The price was very similar to the original one and we had extra buses connecting us to the Terminal, what was an awesome idea. Walking in 35+ Celsius temperature in not good for a long time and it can result in the sun stroke. This tour offers you two lines (green- old city and red the whole Cartagena) We did both of them. We chose option with the guide in the old city (all included in the same price) and our guide was young and vibrant Yelenka. She was very knowlegeable and has showed us an old city with great details. She took us also to the coco factory, ice-cream stop and beer location among all the historical buildings of a incredible history of Cartagena. At the end we had continued with the rest of the city. This tour gives you an awesome overview of whole Cartagena if you are there just for one day!
