My husband and I travel often and have been to China a couple of times as we love the people and the country. So much to see, so much history. We especially love Chengdu. A fun city with great food and history. Signing up for tours with Lala at La La Land was a very smart move on our part. Lala, the tour guide and owner is hands-down. The best guide we have ever had. She is smart and speaks perfect English and she knows her Chinese history and especially her Chengdu history. She is so very kind and really takes care of her clients. I was actually sick one day and she brought to my hotel food and drink to help me feel better. Lala tries very hard to make sure everyone has a good time that is on her tour. We will hopefully be back to Chengdu in a couple of years and I will for sure book Lala for our tours. If you book a tour with her, you will not be sorry it will be Grand I assure you.

My experience with Lala as our tour guide in China was nothing short of extraordinary. She accompanied us to iconic places such as the Wuhou Shrine, Jin li, Du Jiang Yan, Kuan Zhai Alley, and many more. Lala made our visit to the Panda Research Center extra special by ensuring we explored the entire facility. Her knowledge and passion for the pandas enriched our experience, making it truly memorable. Lala, gave us numerous tips for navigating the city, ensuring we had the best possible experience. Our bamboo weaving activity was one of our favourite afternoons in Chengdu! Lala met us at Peoples’s Park and took us to the bamboo weaving workshop. We learnt a bit about bamboo first and then got straight into making our cool bamboo panda design! It wasn’t easy but the team there were super kind and helpful in ensuring we were successful and finished the design. I highly recommend this activity if you like hobbies and crafts and want to try something different in this city! Lala was a brilliant host and also gave us restaurant tips for Chengdu. Fun and original activity to do in Chengdu, beside visiting pandas like everybody does. The activity takes place in a small business leads by profesional women. You will have a guide to find the place. When we did the activity, we had the opportunity to chose between 2 levels of bamboo weaving difficulties. We took one of each and kept them afterwards. It's a good memory to have from Chengdu. Snacks were served. The hosts/guides were also kind and helpful regarding the organization of the rest of our trip. I truly recommand if you like arts and crafts or if you want to encourage local businesses lead by women. :)

Guohua (国画) refers to traditional Chinese painting, typically created using brush, ink, and pigments on paper or silk. It encompasses various styles and subjects, such as landscapes (山水), flowers and birds (花鸟), and figures (人物). This form of art is distinguished by its emphasis on expressive brushwork and the use of calligraphic techniques. Although I have always appreciated this art form, I had never tried it before. So, I decided to explore Guohua art in Chengdu city with my friends, and it turned out to be a mesmerizing experience, especially with the careful assistance of Lala, who ensured everything went smoothly on the tour. Our journey began with a visit to a local artist's studio, where we witnessed traditional Chinese painting techniques. We participated in a hands-on workshop, learning to capture the essence of nature through careful strokes. The richness of the traditional vibes that surrounded us throughout the painting journey was truly captivating. This tour was an unforgettable immersion into Chinese cultural artistry. I strongly recommend this tour to beautifully experience the serene ambiance of Chengdu, with its historical richness and cultural heritage.

Lala was the consummate host, who made my afternoon painting experience so memorable. She met me at the KuanZhai metro exit with a milk tea and brought me to the painting studio where I learned about guohua (Chinese traditional painting) from an experienced guohua art teacher. I learned about the art form and practiced paint stroke techniques and then painted basic shapes before I was coached through my painting by the expert teacher. She gave me many helpful tips, including mixing paints, brush pressure and how to improve the flow of my painting. Lala provided great English translation throughout and snapped some beautiful photos to help me commemorate my afternoon. The studio was bright and beautiful, and coupled with the aromatic green tea served while I painted, I felt like I was spending an afternoon in a Chinese poem. Lala also provided some wonderful recommendations for more local and authentic experiences around Chengdu. It was definitely an afternoon (about 2 hours) well spent and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys painting or learning more about Chinese culture.

Got to know Lala when we went in a group of 12 back in September. Language barrier was non existence as Lala speaks fluent English. Hence that eliminates your worries being at a foreign country. Lala is a friendly local who knows the ins and outs of the city and made on point recommendations. Being a foodie, we especially love her recommendations on food and she had been extremely helpful throughout our trip. She's also always going the extra mile. For example, she bought us tea leaves from Mount Er Mei the next day after we casually mentioned about tea leaves. Didn't expect this to happen and it instantly warmed our hearts. In essence, service was tip top and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lala to anyone who wants to visit Chengdu!
