My tour guide was wonderful and I had a very special experience. Her knowledge of Chinese culture and poetry was very impressive and she was very patient with me. I will return and hope to enjoy more of Chengdu.

Don’t visit in summer or autumn - too hot for pandas and very limited and controlled enclosure viewings. Very large park set up for mass tourists and a lot of walking involved. There was a golf buggy shuttle available but long lines and wait times involved. Not great when you only have a AM or PM ticket session window at the park. It was about 30 deg C day and we arrived 10am and were done by 12pm. Signs were up at all enclosures saying due to heat pandas were inside and viewing lines were controlled walk throughs. Our contact time with a giant panda would have been about 1 min each for three sightings though glass. If wasn’t for the the red pandas this would have been a one star review. Panda Valley in Dujiangyan (run by same company) is a much much better experience.

Very hot day - they put the pandas inside some small, cage like enclosures with 3 concrete walls and one window for tourists to take photos through. Even arriving an hour early, I was met by a very exhausting throng of tourists both domestic and foreign. I felt sorry for the pandas in their small cages, and myself for putting myself through the experience. The overlooked red pandas were gorgeous, underrated, and the one saving grace of the base.

I bought two tickest. One for the Panda Breeding Research and one for the Chengdu Sichuan Opera. Both were perfect organized and by Andy perfect explained and described. The communication in perfect way by WhatsApp. BR Gunter

Do not go first week of May. Is China holiday, very very crowded. It is advisable to go Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base during weekday and not Public holiday in China.

Booking thru Trip Advisor was so efficient and thankfully, this activity was booked only a day prior to schedule (already unavailable in KKDay and Klook). April 4 was a national holiday, there’s a huge number of visitors but you can have time to watch panda, many of them at different locations in the park.

Andy was really friendly and helpful, very efficient in replying on WeChat. The whole experience was very smooth - Andy booked the tickets using our passports, no issues with entry. We were picked up by a great driver, who arrived promptly and was also very friendly. Andy was flexible in arranging drop off at Tianfu airport after the Panda Base. Would book another tour with this team.

We also booked the Opera House with Andy. Andy has been very prompt and booked for us tickets very swiftly and fuss free! We had a smooth time entering the places and managed to have a great time!

he panda base is nice, a beautiful park it’s a shame the weather was cold and everything was written in Chinese without any translation, made it a bit hard to get an orientation. Besides the park, Andy was amazing to organise everything I had an amazing full day out and I enjoyed every step in Chengdu thanks to his advice and his organisation with transports and communication. Andy is a great man and I recommend everyone to get him to organise your day in chengdu you won’t regret anything 👍 Thanks Andy for all the patience :)

The driver so nice and be punctual. We have wonderful experience here, panda so cute!!! How could you visit Chengdu without seeing panda!

The drama so funny. It will provides you a lot of Chinese drama including changing face. Worth it !!! Nice to feel like ancient people seeing drama.

I bought two tickets last minute and Andy was very efficient and fast to complete the not simple advance reservation procedure that allowed us to enter in the Center on time for the noon turn. We really enjoyed this visit in the Panda Center and we're grateful with Andy because without his help most probably we wouldn't be able to reserve the tickets, especially last minute.

I had one free evening in the area and I thought it would be fun to do something 😃 Very happy I found this activity, had the best time! The evening was filled with different people showing their unique talent (see some of them in the pictures below) The fact I didn't speak Chinese, didn't matter at all! Go and enjoy! 🎭 Andy, whom I booked with, communicated clearly leading up to the event, which I appreciated as well! Thanks Andy!

This tour was perfect for me. The communication with Andy leading up was great... he answered all my questions as I prepared. My guide in Chengdu (Mr. Mark) was on time to pick me up and even helped me find a good coffee on the way in. He led me to the best spots at the panda base and explained things as we went. I was able to stop as long or as little as I wanted throughout. Saw lots of pandas sleeping, eating and even playing. Huanglongxi was a nice addition after the pandas to see some of the local culture and we ate some delicious noodles for lunch. The town has some of the tourist vibe in the area near the front but, more local feel as you went in further. It was worth a visit.
