Not worth the money it costs
The only bus travelling here arrives 8h45 and the park only opens at 10am. Return bus only at 8pm... yes, that's true! There's no one around to explain the importance of the site or guide you through it. Costly/pricy entrance for what you get in return! It's worth going here if you're planning on doing the 10km hike along the cost. Beautiful!!! You might even get to see the fisherman and have a chat with them.

        Can Easily Improve This.
There were 11 of us on this mini-van. Too many for a comfortable ride as it is too hard to get to the last row. Either they need a bigger van or less people - max of 8 in this van. Two of the passengers showed up nearly an hour late. It was good that the staff waited for them but then they shrunk the tour time! We saw enough but felt rushed.

        Unforgettable!
Fantastic experience! My family loves penguins so we were beyond excited to take this tour to the reserve. I combed through dozens of reviews and would like to address some things others viewed as negatives about the trip. My family of four includes an 8-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son. Yes, the tour makes for an incredibly long day as you are picked up from your hotel before 7 a.m. and, in our case, returned at 10:30 p.m. Our kids had zero issues with this! I prepared by bringing outerwear to account for any weather we might encounter, and I packed a ton of snacks and activities for our kids. Some people mentioned that there were few food options during the tour. We found snacks and drinks available at the ferry terminal and aboard the ferry so you have the opportunity to purchase food in the morning. We found lunch to be reasonably priced and quite good, and there was the option to pay by credit card. We chose to use cash, so I can't speak to the reliability of the credit card machine but no one in our group seemed to have an issue. Our kids had a blast on the ferry, exploring all the decks and even visiting the bridge and the captain, and once we headed out on the two-hour drive to the penguins, they fell asleep. The early morning worked to our advantage! Our guide was insanely knowledgeable and did a fantastic job checking in with us and letting us know the plan for the day. He worked hard to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The penguin reserve was incredible. There is a walking trail that takes you to several viewpoints, and yes, while you have to maintain distance from the birds, they have a guide escorting you, answering questions about the colony. He had a scope to view the penguins and helped us use it to get gorgeous pictures of them on our phones. On our return, the ferry back was delayed by 1.5 hours. While I can understand that for some that would be extremely frustrating, we took it as an opportunity to explore and simply enjoy being in a new place. Our family went for a walk and played some games I had brought. I think it's all about your expectations and taking things in stride. You're on Chilean time when it comes to the ferries! Even though we got back to our hotel at 10:30, restaurants are open late so we enjoyed a great meal out. This was a fantastic experience - you just have to understand the itinerary and prepare for it. We are so grateful we didn't listen to the negative reviews. Seeing the king penguins was an experience of a lifetime!

        Tierra del Fuego Review!
Fantastic tour with amazing views! More than just penguin watching. Stopped for tons of Guanacos, Rheas, foxes, and sheep. The long journey was broken up well. Felt like more of a safari! Eduardo was fantastic!! Would book again!

The penguins were amazing! The tour was well organised and functional. Lunch was plentiful and reasonably priced. Two token tour stops.

Well organised, fun ferry, great payable local lunch, lovely scenery. The penguins were the icing on the cake. Long trip.

        King Penguin tour letdown
Quite simply too long, too expensive and parts of it towards the end (albeit interesting about the Chilean Selkmam people) irrelevant to me. With respect If I’d have wanted a history tour I’d have booked one. Also it was an incredibly long day for an hour of penguin viewing at 50metres (yes I know that’s a legal requirement) even though they are the most wonderful animals and I will take away memories of this. I felt there were so many opportunities missed to stop here and there and photograph the beautiful landscape we were travelling through (in fairness nobody asked) and some of the wildlife. I felt a little let down by it given the price but hey ho you live and learn. I would say the tour guide was very nice and helpful and extremely knowledgeable

        Very unprofessional - very unrelaiable
Had a terrible experience. First tried to book this company through Viator. Then they canceled on us last minute. I contacted them and they said not to make other plans and to meet them at the dock at 10am and we can join a different tour they operate. I emailed the night before to make sure everything is ok and they said everything is great and meet them at 10am by the clock. At 10 I met Valeria and she said we missed the tour. They changed the schedule and it left at 8am and they forgot to inform me. Valeria said there were no other tours they were running that day and she would not help arrange a different tour. Ended up with a tour group that sucked. Had a I known I could have made other arrangements. Very disappointed. Very unprofessional.

        King Penguin experience
Atman was a great guide but I was disappointed that we couldn't get very close to the penguins. If I had known that, I would have brought my binoculars.

        Good but disappointing
The guide was friendly and professional. The journey was long but seeing many Guanaco's made for a better journey. The park we found very touristy, as we arrived in a group we had to stay in a group, this wasn't fun as we wanted to space ourselves from people chatting and children. Lunch was a big flop, poor choice for a vegetarian with rip off prices for what we got to eat. The day was however memorable. The penguins were great to see.

        Feedback on Fort Tour
Overall the tour was good, weather did not really cooperate but that was not the guides fault, my only reason for a slightly lower review is that we were on a small tour, 7 people, and we were the only non Spanish speaking couple. The guide did a reasonable job of explaining things in English, but spent 75% of the tome chatting in Spanish, which left us feeling we were not getting the same full explanation as the rest of the tour.

History filled day with brilliant guide and driver
A fantastic tour of the fort and park, with lots of history and great views. I was surprised when I arrived and was the only member of the tour, but the guide explained it would still run! My guide; Gabriel and driver; Victor were absolutely brilliant. We managed to do all the trails in the park including a beautiful walk through ‘woodpeckers forest’. Gabriel provided an informative history of the fort and surrounding strait and was very friendly and accommodating. Victor stopped the bus for me on the way back to town when we spotted a sea lion and dolphins from the shore for a better look and chance to take photos. There are often whales, dolphins and sea lions on this stretch. A brilliant half day out, definitely recommend if you have a few days in Punta Arenas to see the beautiful park and historic fort reconstruction.

Bad travel time vs activity time trade-off.
The 1 hour with the penguins was great (but very windy and cold). But the 10+ hours of travel to and from Punta Arenas was way too much. Too much travel vs the time with the penguins.

        Don't trust them with a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
This company cannot be trusted. They will take your money and then cancel your tour at the last minute, leaving you no other options in Patagonia. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

        Long day but worth it
We had a good experience. Although we had to sit in the van a long time it was worth it for seeing the penguins. Guide was really helpful and spoke good english.

Excellent! The trip is an unforgettable experience. I was the only English speaker in the group, the others were all Spanish speakers. The tour guide had to repeat himself twice each time, which was very appreciated. Everyone was very friendly along the way. Although it was early in the morning, the scenery along the way was beautiful and the weather was very good. An unforgettable journey and memory!

Breathtaking views of rude mountain peaks and gentle lake ripples. Lucky to have seen icebergs. Beautiful landscapes of Patagonia. Wonderful experience.

I started from Puerto Natales so driving time to and from the park was manageable. I feel for people who start from Punta Arenas who may spend a total of 10h in the small van to/from the park.
Weather can be an important factor as to how much one can actuslly see what one wants to see.

They do a good job showing you the highlights of the park but there are so many great spots there that doing it on your own at your own pace would be a better option. Of course, the 4+ hours of driving from and back to Punta Arenas is a drag but the alternative of staying in Puerta Natales is not so nice as the town is a pit. Bring food and drink with you for the entire day as the food stops inside the park are few and far between and the prices are steep. Also, if you rely on your phone for time and alarm functions bear in mind that Punta Arenas is located right on the border of the time zone and the clock on your phone may or may not be updated, or better yet it may be switched back and forth between time zones arbitrarily. So it's better to order a wakeup call. We didn't, so we got up one hour earlier.

A wonderful introduction to Patagonia scenery and weather. Luís was a terrific guide: energetic, humorous, and knowledgeable about Patagonia geography, history and ecology. He set our expectations early about the unpredictable Patagonia weather, so even though it was rainy and windy, we still had a wonderful time. Highly recommended!

Buyer beware. We booked this tour. It was cancelled less than 12 hours before the scheduled departure. The tour operator didn’t have the minimum number. We understood that a minimum number was required. We were offered another day or a refund. Unfortunately another day didn’t work since we had other plans for the proposed day. We did submit for a refund.

Our disappointment was the fact the tour operator knew for days (not less than 12 hours) that we were the only 2 booked customers. If we were given more notice we could have had other options. Thankfully, we were able to secure a private tour through another operator because of a tour guide we met on another tour.

Torres de Paine is a must see! It was well worth the hassle and extra expense of a private tour.

      Exceeded my expectations!

Firstly, please wrap up well as it is very cold (we had thermals and -30c coats and still felt the cold)! The views superseded the getting up early and cold. I was not expecting much but it was very much a had to do situation so that we could say we had been there, done that. I did not expect the spectacular views and the knowledge of the tour guides (the microphone could be better as it was sometimes difficult to hear what was being said, I speak both English and Spanish so had the advantage of hearing it twice and this helped if I missed something).

The first part of the tour was in the Cuevas Milodon which is where we felt it coldest, it snowed whilst there and with the wind chill factor, it was bitterly cold. This cave is regarded as one of the 7 wonders of the world. It was fascinating to see but I’ll admit I was keen to get back to the minibus to warm up.

The 2nd part was in the Torres Del Paine, wonderful experience. It was an all day trip with lots to see, from mountain ranges, to the wildlife, waterfalls and even icebergs. We had the pleasure of seeing the wildlife in action too from reproduction (I’ll say no more) to fighting for dominance of the “girls”, unfortunately we did not get to see any cougars (a keen eye is needed).

All in all I would recommend this trip. The guys where brilliant too, fun and full of knowledge!

Oh and the colours in the photos do not do it justice, the actual colours were so vibrant especially the water

GREAT FUN! A full day's outing to the National Park and Cave, guided by Camila. The natural splendor was highlighted by Camila's informative discourse along the way. The stops were scenic, had a little bit of walking (was extremely windy so hard to do much walking that day).

Excellent tour. It was an early start but the minibus was comfortable enough to sleep in. The guide and the driver were both great and had a lot of knowledge about all the stops. Definitely recommend to anyone who want to see Torres del Paine but doesn’t have the time to do a multi-day trek.

The sights are incredible, I could do without the souvenir stops but the coffee was good. It is a very long day sadly you spend more time in the vehicle than the time in the park, there was a small walk 1.75 mi to the beach but I wouldn't call it a hike. The glaciers were impressive, the Paine mountain range is spectacular. Note to self it is so cold, rainy and windy I should've had artic gear but survived. This is a great tour for people that like "point of interests stops" rather than hiking treks. I didn't pay to much attention to the descriptions since I had my travel agent book and I assumed there would be hiking and there was not, so that it my fault, but the tours was very amazing.

Awesome excursion. The park is absolutely stunning, everything I expected from Patagonia. Our guide, Juan, and driver were professional and knowledgeable and I really enjoyed the whole day. I’ll note, it’s a long day with an early start (530-6A) and late (745P) arrival back in Punta Arenas. Plan to take some food to munch at the camping area at Lake Pehoe. I took an apple, some trail mix, a protein bar and water, which was perfect for me. Pro tip: look for the bench (contemplation spot) on the overlook along some trails just outside the campground, it’s might just be the most perfect spot for lunch on the planet.
