I booked the tour for May 26/27 and made my flight and hotel arrangements only to participate in the tour. The day before the tour, I tried to reach the tour operator Cali tours to check on pick up location when i f found out that the tour was cancelled. Cali tour referred to a message they sent me weeks ago telling me that the tour would only take place if they had at least 4 participants. After that message, I received many emails from TripAdvisor providing me with the tours confirmation number and asking me to select pick up location. This made me believe that the tour will take place. I did try to call Cali tours but never got through. The day before the tour they finally responded telling me I should communicate via WhatsApp - This is when we found out that the tour was cancelled.. I only wonder how the tour would have been when simple coordination is already problematic.

Well-organized excursion (places to visit, meals, accommodation, route) and well-guided (long-experienced and very kind guide. Exceptional landscapes, mountains, lakes, valleys, sunrises, a wide variety of wild animals in their natural habitat.

We had two private tours with Álvaro. The first day we left from Putre and did the Parque Nacional Lauca and Lago Chungará.Great information and pacing. The snacks and picnic were healthy. Álvaro was knowledgeable and professional. The second tour was the Precordillera tour that left from Putre. We really enjoyed seeing and learning about the ruins and visiting the small villages. Two excellent days! We highly recommend this company!

Before the trip I had excellent communication (in English!) with Daniel Carrasco who always nicely and quickly responded to my mail and wishes; He arranged for my transfer late at night from the La Paz bus to nice hostel Cali (for 10 USD) where Yolanda was warmly waiting for me. Daniel knew I wasn't very happy to pay so much for a private tour to Lauca NP so, a few days before, he advised me that another couple would go too... but one day later than I had planned; the price difference was so big (from 200 to 58 USD) that I changed my bookings plan accordingly and I didn't regret as I loved cute little Putre and that excursion to Lauca was just perfect, from weather to sites visited to our driver/guide (too bad he talked Spanish only as we probably missed some of his detailed explanations) - including a lovely picnic at lake Chungara. I warmly recommend Putre, Lauca, Cali hostel and the whole team Cali tours for rest and enjoyment in a very beautiful region.

The general level of service was very good. I have only a few comments It is a pity that paying by credit card was impossible The address Baquedano 399 in Arica does not appear to exist The tours were on average about one hour shorter than specified in the brochure.

The trip was very well organized, the owner contacted us in our hotel to give detailed information regarding the trip. Before coming to Chile we contacted Cali Tours by email, they always responded quickly and were very helpful. During the trip we had superbly professional guide Luis who told us a lot about culture and current affairs and beautiful Chilean nature. He seemed to know everything about it! We took a 3-day trip to get used to altitude so we didn't suffer any inconveniences concerning to altitude of more than 4500 meters. We definitely recommend Cali Tours!

I travelled with a small group in North Chile on Noovember 2015. We went from Iquique to Arica, passing throught the highlands, Putre and Azapa Valley. Everything was really great! Gabriel (the manager) provided for us car, driver, fuel, accomodation and all meals (included pic nic!!) , an also a good chilean Wine! Excellent driver, Louis, not only a driver but a very experienced guide and a friend. IN Putre we stayed in the nice smal hotel managed by Gabriel's wife, that welcomed us very nicely. I really would like to go back and travel with them!
