The tour was excellent! Jorge really took time to explain both the cultural heritage and the animals of the region throughout the day. All stops along the way were mind-blowing, and he gave us a lot of time to stroll around and take pictures. Our Spanish wasn't that good, but he talked not too fast, so we still managed to follow most of it. It's a great tour to explore the Altiplano in a day :)

I am a tour guide from Turkey. We visited Arica as a group of people in Mai. I decided to organize our transfer and excursions in Arica with Payachatas Tours. As a first time comer to Arica I was little concerned about the time we will spend there. But Mr. Jorge Alfaro Quinteros planned everything precisely and organized very lovely excursions. He also paid very close attention to my group and took care even the smallest details. So my customers and myself, we couldn’t be happier at the end of our stay. Our trip to Arica was a random choice. We decided to go here 2 days before our trip, so I did’t have much time for planning our perfect vacation)). I found several guides here, on TripAdvisor, and wrote them. I asked them to help us with tour program on Arica for 3 days. The problem was that many of them don't speak English or reply very slow. Jorge also don’t speak English much, but it looks like nothing can stop him from communication with tourists and to do his job with high professionalism. Google translate helped us a lot. On the first day we had private tour around the city. Jorge met us at the airport, surprised with welcome package of water bottle and snacks, and we started the tour - visited National Park with birds, museums, Hieroglyphs and Anzota rocks. Everything was very beautiful, Jorge was always very polite and helpful (if you're not sure about something - don't be shy and ask Jorge - he will find the way how to fix it). Also he made some pictures of us. It was a pleasant surprise from Jorge again.))) If you want to have your tour in English - it is possible to have a translator. We asked about this option too late, so the English-speaking person could not manage to help Jorge with tour for us. For the next day we wanted to save money and to take group tour to the National Park Lauca. Jorge didn't have group tour for that day to the Park, so he helped us again and found for us 1-day tour to Chungaro lake and other sightseeings in the Park. The guide Andres on the next day was also very nice. We almost don't speak Spanish, but everybody in the group were so nice, that helped us to understand the most important things and also took care of me as Andreas, when I started to feel not well (it was hard to breathe for me on the top, when I during the movements). I would recommend to plan tours to Arica for several days and to take private tour with Jorge. Also it would be easier to get used for the oxygen in air in mountains, to do trip in your own rhythm. Jorge has very comfortable big car for 5(6) people. And nature in National Park Lauca is worth to see it longer than just one day. I hope that those advices would help some travellers to spend time in Arica region even better then we did)). Actually the last, 3-d day we spent on the beach and relaxed after two previous days, filled with adventures))

Really loved the Lago Chungará Tour. We saw amazing scenery, wildlife and our guide couldn’t be more helpful and friendly! Really amazing day. Gracias :)
