With him we went into the heart of the locals way of life. We ended the day with an amazing chef that guided us through a 3 delicious course meal! A fantastic 3 hour experience in Siem Reap. The team were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Visits to local market and farms, and cooking lesson, were all v well organised. - Redall-Taste0 contributionsGreat Cooking Class with Village TourI had a fantastic time at this afternoon cooking class & village tour, It’s started with tuk tuk transport from my hotel to outside of Siem Reap city, and my guide Ron walked with me around the village to visit many places such as local market and vegetable farms get in touch with the locals & told me about all the Khmer ingredients, allowing me to smell different herbs and spices. She even purchased some traditional desserts for me to try. We then went to a gorgeous open-air kitchen, and prepared a 3 course meal. The chef was really knowledgeable and helpful - I had so much fun learning about Khmer cooking! I then enjoyed the meal on their patio, which included not only the dishes I made but also many more! Our chefs were so friendly and helpful, happy to answer all our questions, We got The food was delicious! I booked this experience after reading so many positive reviews. It exceeded expectations for our group and was such an ideal inclusion in our stay in the Siem Reap area.
We were so welcomed by the family who hosted us, after hearing about village life and vegetable growing from our guide. The dishes we chose were delicious and we loved that we cooked enough for the family, guide and driver to enjoy a meal also.
The communication at every step was outstanding. Thank you Mai and family for sharing your time with us

Tinan took us for a small tour of local farms, Buddhist temple and the home stay of where we conducted the cooking class. The family were lovely and accomodating as we had a seafood allergy. The meals were easy to prepare and we catered for the whole tribe. A great morning out!

I had a lovely morning learning to prepare several Cambodian Foods. Well organized and planned experience. The chef and Sokpha Mai chef spoke English and made the experience very memorable. Would highly recommend!

The trip was interesting and particularly memorable was the mushroom farm and the local cooking class. The tour guide Ron was very helpful and friendly. Oh and the local cooking class ended up really good, I mean the food and ingredients are so fresh and delicious. Really recommend and will definitely be back.

Ron was absolutely great! Not only did we visit the market with him but he also brought us to a farm and a oyster mushroom farm. The whole morning was very instructive and when we arrived to the class the whole team was really nice and food was delicious. We had a vegetarian and one person allergic to shellfish in our party and they were very accommodating, all in all great experience!

What a great experience, riding through the village seeing where they grow the vegetables, herbs, rice, cultivating the mushrooms, walking through the local market, even saw a funeral. Cooking class was fun, ingredients beautifully displayed. All in all a terrific experience in Siem Reap, highly recommend.

Ron took the time and patiently explained the mushroom manufacturing process to us and we had fun time cooking too. We did amok fish , curry and banana dessert
