- 580denik00Best tour guide I’ve ever hadEasily the best tour of my life. To start I was late to the tour due to oversleeping, but instead of being upset Pin was patient and considerate. Moreover, I am a researcher in history and religion, and though I knew nothing about the Angkor period, I was stunned by Pin’s ability to adapt what he knows to my specific interests in areas like Buddhist theology and the geographical basis for Angkorean civilisation. Pin can adapt to any audience because he knows it all —from Hindu legends & Buddhist theology to the history of the Khmer empire to the finer points of temple construction. He is trained as a sociologist and this comes through in his ability to explain the ruins as part of a broader social context. Khmer civilisation came alive before my eyes thanks to his telling. And I appreciated that he knows a lot about modern Cambodian history as well, and is very capable of connecting patterns across the history of this place to the present. Finally, I love his gentle demeanour and smiling temperament. He is a calm, kind, and intelligent guide. He made my trip to the Angkorean ruins. And he even gave me excellent ideas to do a self guided tour on a day when he was unavailable to lead me (I would have booked him for a second day if I could). I chose the solo tour and it was worth every penny.
- katesX6245DD00Best TourIf you’re looking for a tour guide to explore Angkor Wat, Thean is the best! He is knowledgeable, polite and has a great sense of humour. He completely personalises the tour to suit you. We learnt so much from Thean and he patiently answered every question we had. He knew the best time to visit each temple to avoid the crowds and the best photo locations! Thean took the best photos and was like our personal photographer as well as tour guide. Having a personalised tour was the best as we could stay as long or as little at each temple as we wanted and ask so many questions Cannot recommend Thean enough!
- padler6900A great day exploring. Our day started out well with Theam picking us up right on time. His knowledge of the history about Angkor Wat, the Floaring Village and the Lake and Siem Reap, was excellent. He has a great way of expression when telling you things. He looked after us very well. Our Driver also made us comfortable, supplying us with water and cool towels all day. Overall, we had a fantastic day.
- Seaside3267211473900Incredible knowledge awesome tourThean has been an amazing tour guide today. His knowledge of Siem Reap is incredible and he showed us all the great spots for photos. Our driver was very caring and looked after us with water and cool towels. The tour was well organised and planned out. Food delicious. Extremely good value.
- satyros6600Great Angkor Sunrise tour experience! We just finished a very nice private sunrise tour of Angkor Wat. Even though we booked the tour in the last minute, tour operator was very quick to respond with detailed information. Next morning, we met the guide Thean in the lobby of our hotel and started the tour right away. He explained the history behind the temples with details and lead us to the best spots for photos. He was excellent in guiding us to the locations and points of interest with nice flow and pace of walking. The driver of the tour was excellent as well. I highly recommend this half day tour if you are interested in Angkor Wat Sunrise. Thean was fantastic!
- murra7100A memorable and magnificent service by Pin from Angkor Special ToursWe spent a wonderful two days with Pin and Mr Sambo exploring the wonders of Angkor Park and other areas of Siem Reap. Even prior to meeting us, Pin was providing info on pre purchasing passes, ordering breakfast hampers and what to wear. From our early morning pick up to witness the amazing and unforgettable sunrise over Angkor Wat to delivery back to our hotel after two amazing days, visiting many temples and villages, every moment was memorable, it was a pleasure having Pin look after us. He has an amazing knowledge of Angkor history and knows each temple in detail, he is passionate about imparting his understanding and was keen to meet our every needs. Mr Sambo was an excellent driver providing us with a safe journey and the ice cold cloths each time we returned to the vehicle, hot and sweaty were greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate in recommending Pin and Mr Sambo and have already done so to friends who are visiting next year. Thank you Pin and Mr Sambo for a memorable experience.
- J9822DVjaneh002 day temple experience - Siem Reap - AmazingWow what an amazing Cambodian experience! The two day temple tour was brilliant. Sunset at Angkor Wat is truly unforgettable. Pin was an outstanding guide with extensive knowledge of the area. The service provided from collection at hotel to the ice cold water and cold face towels provided by Mr Sambo throughout the day was first class. Pin knew the best places for photo opportunities and also provided us with brilliant photographic tips to improve our shots. Our afternoon trip to the floating village was also ideal to see local village life. If you are ever able to visit this magnificent country. Do yourself a favour and utilise the services of Pin and his team. You will not be disappointed. Thanks again for making our holiday in Cambodia so much fun and certainly one to remember Pin and Mr Sambo!
- CarolineRRxxx00Excellent 3 day tour including the remote temple'sWe had a wonderful tour with our guide Mr Thean and driver Mr Sornram. We opted for a 3 day trip including the grand tour with the 3rd day visiting the koh ker group. We were concerned about visiting in rainy season, but saw hardly any rain and only when we were travelling and the plus side was that all the temples were really quiet, some we had all to ourselves. The cold water and cold towels were very welcome after the tours. Mr Thean was very knowledgeable and filled with insights about even very remote temple's and he took some lovely photos of us as a family. Meanwhile Ram was an excellent driver getting us effectively between different sites. We really enjoyed our tour and would recommend it to any group looking for a convenient and flexible way to view the temples and other attractions such as the floating villages around Siem Reap.
- Andrea P00full day visit to the Angkor site (small tour) with our master guide Pin!!!We had the small tour visit (Angkor Wat, Ta Prohm and Bayon ) at sunset with private guide . Fantastic experience made even more exceptional by our guide Pin, who not only gave us information on the various sites visited, but also explained the history of Cambodia in detail (even the sadly more recent one!!) allowing us to better understand the bond spiritual and cultural of this place with Cambodians. Plus Pin is a real photo wizard!!! he showed us the most suggestive corners and took some wonderful photos 😊.
- sylviaj201700Amazing Angkor Wat experienceMy guide Pin Vannak was the best guide I could have hoped for. He was so knowledgeable about Cambodia, I learned so much from him. I also appreciated that he was prompt on pick up times as well as checking in with me in the evening to let me know what the next day involved and what I should wear or bring with me. The tour itself was exceptional as well, I was only in Siem Reap for a short time but felt I was shown amazing places. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see Angkor Wat and beyond.
- Mark T00Best guide ever , and I’m really old 😃We expected a professional service information from a good guide. What we did not expect was true passion, extra information, personal experience and unlimited time frame. Many years ago we had a guide in Mexico called Jesus , he was the very best we ever had until today.
- tropring00Perfect tour to discover in 1 day the main temples of Siem ReapThis tour was perfectly organised by Thean our guide and Sambor our driver. They pick us up at 4h30 at the hotel and took us as planned to Angkor wat, then to the main temples including Bayon wat (with the Buddha faces), Ta Prohm wat (with the Tomb Raider trees) and finally Banteay Srei wat (the pink temple). The trip was very informative with the knowledge of Thean, who gave us a lot of information on what we were observing from the first minutes of the trip to the last minute at 13h00. To be definitely done to properly understand what has happened with the Hindus and Buddhists in this part if the world.
- Shane H00AmazingMy family and I had the best time exploring the temples with Mr Thean. Early morning sunrise over Angkor Wat was definitely worth the early morning wake up.
- 327maureeni00A great day with a private tour by PinWe had a great day with Pin as our knowledgeable guide. He was punctual to the hotel in the morning and provided timely advice re appropriate dress standards for the sites we were going to visit. Pin's English was excellent as he explained the range of sites, entry requirements, and distances. We were able to select the sites that interested us the most, and he timed the visits to reduce the impact of the crowds at each location. The tour included bottled water and a tasty lunch at a local restaurant. Cambodia has so much culture and history and the facts and stories provided during the drive were welcome. Pin is highly recommended as a tour guide in Siem Reap and to the Angkor Temples.
- 10fionai00Pin’s a Thoughtful GuideSo glad Pin was my Angkor guide. Knowledgeable, clear & relaxed, he made the the tour relevant to my interests & created a special day & memories.

I travel quite often and have visited many ancient complexes, including the Egyptian pyramids and Mayan temples in Central America. When my family and I tour these locations we like to book tour guides to elevate the experience and to understand local culture.
Pin Vannak was our guide on this particular trip, taking us through the ancient ruins, temples, and mountains of Siem Reap. He was an excellent and informative guide, ready to answer any questions we had. He accommodated all of our requests and adapted the itinerary according to our needs and what we wanted to see (for example—and I would recommend this—we decided to explore Angkor Wat immediately after seeing the sunrise there as it was much cooler and less crowded, instead of seeing it on the previous day in the afternoon which was in the original plan). Pin was great at pointing out the differences between sites and highlighting their best qualities. For example, Banteay Srei is a beautifully preserved temple using a different type of material from the Angkor Wat complex, and was actually built by the King’s advisor (hence its smaller, humbler size). He also told us about the myth of the monkey and demon war (this war is depicted across the exterior walls of Angkor Wat). We loved hearing all these stories.
My husband and I are both in the art industry so we were interested in repatriation policies and foundational knowledge of local crafts and culture, which we discussed at length with Pin. He also suggested the best places to take photos and to study the ancient engravings and relief markings in the various temples. I am sure he can adapt to any family’s/visitor’s needs and we were very impressed by his depth of knowledge, curiosity and generosity (we learned he also teaches English to underprivileged children and knows a bit of Russian!).
