Straight 10/10 experience. We will never forget this tour!
Straight 10/10 experience. We booked the Angkor Wat Sunrise tour, and booked it on quite short notice, so thanks for that. (Note: October is low-season) We had the full rain season experience. Even though we were already soaked in the morning, the experience couldn't have been better. Great breakfast and lunch, lovely fruit and cold drink stops after the longer bike rides, and a lot of information throughout all the temples. Our guide took very good care of us, he even gave us a full itinerary for the remaining days with our Angkor Pass (for which we could fortunately rely on his tuk-tuk driver) and recommended us 2 very good restaurants for our last days in Siem Reap. To everyone looking for a more active way to discover Angkor, choose this tour!

Angkor Sunrise Cycling Tour - Best way to see the temples
Camouflage organised a fantastic tour of the key Angkor sites and the tour guide Chen was extremely professional, knowledgeable and friendly. We did the Angkor Sunrise Cycling Tour - starting with sunrise at Angkor Wat, then entry through the West Gate into Angkor Thom to explore the Bayon Temple and pass through the Terrace of Elephants and exiting through the East Gate. Then we explored the wild Ta Nei temple before heading to the spectacular Ta Prohm and finishing with lunch. The tour guide Chen gave us the right level of history, humor and information (including detail of the religious stories and historical events shown on the temple gallery carvings). We thought Chen did a great job and made the tour very enjoyable. The bike ride itself gave us a good taste of the jungle paths and some of the water reservoirs in the surrounding areas. The jungle paths do have some sandy and rocky areas and some big tree roots so you should be relatively confident, although we don’t often ride (and have never done mountain biking before) and had no problems. Chen was an experienced rider and went at the right pace. The bikes were good quality too. The tour was well organised and on time. A tuk tuk driver met us at each stop and he was also very helpful and friendly and well prepared with drinks and fruit snacks. The food at lunch was also tasty. The company is owned by local Cambodians. We had a great time and would recommend to everyone as the best way to see the temples. 5 Stars.

A great way to visit Angkor Wat temple area
Spent a day touring Angkor temples with Samnang and his team. It was a wonderful way to view the temple area -- bikes were in excellent condition and sized appropriately, terrain flat, and dirt tracks generally well managed. Much of the day was in shade and away from traffic and tourist hordes. Support tuktuk readily accessible for water and healthy snacks. Also visited some of the less frequented temples, which were beautiful and peaceful. This tour also kept our teenage sons interested, and mitigated early temple fatigue. Samnang was also a knowledgeable, friendly and engaged guide.

Awesome day's cycling to beautiful temples!
Fab way to get to Beng Melea in December! I got picked up early and we set off for Beng Melea on mountain bikes. Samnang was brilliant. Super helpful and there was a support tuk tuk all the way. I was kept really well watered and supplied with ample snack stops during the day. About 10-15km in we stopped for breakfast, coffee, fruit and delicious Khmer noodles. Cycling to Beng Melea was great fun. An amazing way to see the country side and get away from the traffic. Much of the route was on quiet back roads in the countryside past paddy fields and lots of waving kids. We stopped at a few temples off the beaten track which was really cool. We were the only ones there and it was amazing. Ride is fairly long but all flat. Last leg was into a headwind but we tucked in behind the tuk tuk which allowed us a bit of respite. Beng Melea itself is well worth a visit. It's beautiful and much quieter than Angkor Wat. All refreshments provided by Samyang were totally delicious. I definitely recommend cycling in Siem Reap. You get to see lots of hidden bits away from the masses. Weather was good, no rain, not too hot but very sunny. Samnang was awesome as well. Super helpful, super friendly and chatty. Aiming to get him to guide me from Cambodia to Laos in the near future!

Hiking Phnom Kulen is highly recommended
We took a hiking tour in Mount Kulen. Sam, the guide, was very professional and good person to walk with. The course was good with heritage and nature spots. We really enjoyed the tour.

We highly recommend biking with Camouflage
We had 5 enjoyable days touring with Camouflage Adventures Cambodia with Samnang, Chief of Operation and Cycling Guide and, especially with Phearin Un, our everyday guide. Phearin was an independent guide and he was great for us. The first day was cycling and temple visits, including Angkor Wat and Bayon. Phearin gave us the archeological and cultural history while Samnang reminded us to watch out for the slippery sand/hanging branches and tree stumps on our single track. Our Trek (XS) and Giant (M) bikes were good enough and the helmets were too. We were amazed by the amount of paved cycling tracks there were around the main temples. Evidently Aspara, the local district, built them during COVID-19. Our second day was with Phearin and we visited temples by car. It was a lovely day, learning about the temples and about Cambodia from Phearin. We were Phearin’s first customers since COVID 19 shut down the country! He told us that he estimated that the number of tourists currently visiting the temples was only 15% of the pre-COVID number. We loved it that we could visit Angkor Wat without a crowd but the economic impact on people has been devastating. After a rest day, our third day of visiting temples was with Phearin doing a little biking and a little walking because Dimitri had gotten an infection and his leg was hurting. Phearin was caring and patient, taking photos and giving us encouragement. Our 4th day was hiking to the Kbai Spean waterfall and the 11th century 1000 lingas. It took us a much longer than estimated because Dimitri’s leg was hurting and the path was full of boulders we had to climb. Phearin was again great with us—the aged ones. We were very happy with the car, the hike and with Phearin. On our 5th day we took a long drive in a good van to the mysterious and remote Beng Mealea temple. We wanted to go there because it was far away and we thought there would be no tourists. Well, there were tourists because it was a holiday, including one annoying family that interfered with our enjoyment. Also, it is indeed a ruin. We learned a great amount and enjoyed our tours with Phearin and Camouflage Adventures Cambodia. We spent US $580 and recommend the company and Phearin (phearinun2022@gmail.com).

          Amazing temple biketours!
My boyfriend and I ended up taking two bike tours with Samnang, as we enjoyed the first one so much! First tour was the small circuit, with Hun as a great temple guide, and second was out seeing some of the more rural temples like Phomn Bok. Excellent way to get around to see the jungle, temples, villages, learn a lot about the history of the temples and Cambodia.

          Great cycle tour
We went on the half day cycle tour through the countryside. Our guide was great, very informative on sights and the countryside. Spoke excellent English. Bikes were in good condition, with extra saddle padding. Saw a lot in - half day - a market, large temple and pagoda, , rice fields, lotus pond/cafe. Would recommend this company.

          Awesome adventure ride around Angkor
We did a half day ride with Camouflage Adventures from Siem Reap around the Angkor Archaeological Park. Samnang our guide, was very accommodating with the start time and route as we had already seen the most popular temples the day before. He brought the bikes to our hotel and took us along back streets and villages to the Angkor Complex. From there is was riding along forest trails and Angkor fortifications. We got to see some structures scattered along the routes and some fantastic temples that are not as popular as Angkor Wat. We also stopped at a small village were we got to meet the local community. We kept a good pace that provided a real workout. The MTB bikes were perfect for the terrain. Samnang knows the tracks very well and provided us peace of mind. We could not have done the ride without his him. He also provided water and a fruit stop. We really discovered the back roads around the area and knowledge of the temples to help us understand the history behind them. We also learned about Cambodian culture and history. He went beyond expectations to give us a great experience. Highly recommend.

          Awesome Angkor cycle tour
We had an incredible day on the Angkor cycle tour - excellent knowledgeable guide, who could answer all our questions, knew the best photo places and kept us topped up with water all day (impressive given how hot it was). We cycled almost all day off road - going down lovely forest trails to get to the main temples. Awesome experience - definitely the best way to see the temples!

Amazing 2 day bicycling tour around Angkor Wat (Sunrise tour and Ta Pronhm tour)
I did a 2 day mountain bike tour. Camouflage Adventure was recommended by the manager of the Salasara hotel, where I stayed. So for the first full day I booked the Sunrise Angkor Wat tour. My guide Sambath Kim picked me up at 4.45 am with a tuk-tuk to go to Angkor Wat, where also the bicycles were going to be. It was too dark at that time to go cycling to Angkor Wat. I was curious how they were going to manage with me being a little handicap, so that for the walking part I had to take 2 elbow crutches along. I am from the Netherlands so for me I am an experienced cyclist and able to cycle well, but the walking is difficult. But Sambath had taken along a rope to tie the crutches on his bike. The sunrise experience at Angkor Wat is something not to be missed and Sambath helped me along very much with the climbing of all the stairs, stepping stones and uneven terrain and with his help I managed to see a lot. Then we got to our bikes and we started of to Angkor Thom on both dirt tracks and paved roads. We also rode the walls of Angkor Thom and then further to Elephants terrace and the terrace of the Leper King and on to Ta Prohm temple. There it was so busy that I decided to postpone the visit to the temple for the next morning. For I inquired with Sambath if there was the possibility for mountain e-bike and he was able to arrange one for the next day. After lunch I decided that I had been on a bicycle long enough and we took a tuk-tuk back to the hotel. The first day we covered 20 km in about 6 hours (so very easygoing) The next day Sambath picked me at the hotel with a mountain e-bike. And it turned out to be a marvelous piece of equipment. We drove the 15 km to Ta Prohm in less then a hour, with no sweat from my part and sometimes going 30 km/hr. Then we cycled up north to the Jayatataka temple in the middle of the man-made lake. And then back again to Siem Reap. We covered a total of about 55 km and it turned out to be a piece of cake for me on this e-bike. Had to pay extra for this bike, but I found it really worthwhile. And the complements go to Sambath, my guide, who helped around when there was walking to be done.

          Amazing day!
My wife and I booked the Angkor Cycling Tour with Camouflage Adventure based on some great experiences of friends. Our guide Rith met us at our hotel with the bikes for us and as it turned out we were the only ones on the tour we’d have his undivided attention for a full day of adventure! The tour is a fabulous way to experience a few of the treasures of the Angkor Wat park area. We visited Angkor Wat, rode the walls of Angkor Thom, visited Bayon, Ta Nei and Ta Prom. The riding followed lots of quiet single track through the jungle, through village within UNESCO heritage Angkor Thom and safely along the roads of Siem Reap where necessary. So many positives about our day: Rith our guide was fabulous. Always ensured ride safety of our group. Friendly and helpful. Knew his route and trails ver well. Shared lots of knowledge of the temples - archaeology, history. Always calm and happy to talk to us about local customs and teach us few words. Biking is just such a terrific way to tour these temples that are quite close to Siem Reap City. Great mix of a bit more activity and being able to access where buses can’t. Lunch was included in the tour and we were very happy with the restaurant within Angkor Thom that they used. Food was very good and service friendly and genuine. Camouflage Adventures was good to deal with in advance when we were deciding on our tours. Locally Owned. In our research we found a couple of highly regarded bike tour companies that are locally owned. Camouflage are one of them. We have a strong preference to stay with local outfits where quality is strong. And did I mention our fantastic guide Rith?! Area for improvement. Only one. Although the bikes were solid Giant mountain bikes, they were a bit run down or less than ideally maintained. Our bikes would not shift smoothly and my helmet was in poor shape. I would rate this experience a 5+, except the maintenance of the bikes. Therefore my rating of 4 (4+). Thanks again to Camouflage and Rith for a wonderful experience and day!

          First hand experience of countryside
There were just two of us, my husband and we were led on a bicycle tour by a wonderful young man. We traveled on some local paved roads, some dirt roads, and some walking paths. The mountain bikes that were provided were the appropriate size for each of us and worked well. It was fascinating to stop to watch local people fishing. We went to a local market and tried some food, and then visited a temple and stopped for a break in a wonderful restaurant on water by the lotus farm. The guide provided good information and was very attentive. Overall great and memorable tour.

Best way to see the temples
Booked this tour on recommendation from our hotel. I am not the strongest cycler so I was a bit nervous, but our guid incorporated lots of breaks and it was definitely the best way to see the temples! Thanks Rith Heab for an awesome tour! He knew all the best picture spots, was knowledgable, and kept us well hydrated in the heat. We even had a gibbon sighting at one of the lesser visited temples! Lunch was delicious, definitely recommend the fish Khmer Amok. We also appreciated the small circuit order as to miss the major crowds. Nothing beats cycling through the forest and suddenly coming upon the amazing temples!

Great bike tours guided by Samnang.
I have been on several of Samnang's cycle tours and everyone of them has been tremendously enjoyable, especially coming back through the Angkor Temple complex at dusk. Samnang is a great guide, his sense of humor will have you in hysterics throughout the tour. Well worth the price. 5 Star all the way.

We did the Biking Tour with Rice Fields and Villages, we visited also a school, and at the end we took a boat tour on the Tonle Sap with a stop at a Temple, and a tour with a little Boat (Kayak) through Mangroves to the Village( after Rainy Season). Our Tourguide Mr Samnang was just amazing. He explained us everything, and showed us all important sights from Nature to Villages. We cycled around 40km this day, but it was really o.k. If you come early in November, you see the green Ricefields before the Harvest. So overall we just can recommend this Tour and the best Tourguide ever, Mr. Samnang.

This is the kind of experience everyone should have when they travel abroad. It’s the perfect example of seeing and mingling with the locals in rural village settings.
Bicycling is always good but when you combine it with the experience and knowledge that Camouflage has, you’re going to get the best results possible.
5 stars every time, don’t miss it!
