I contacted Ra of Van Express & Tours from India before reaching Phnom Penh. Myself and my co-brother planned for a 9 day trip to Cambodia – 4 days in Phnom Penh and balance in Siem reap/Angkorwat area. We decided to explore Phnom Penh by ourselves and Siem Reap with the guidance of Ra. This is a little long review. If you want quick summary only please read the last paragraph. We requested for a customized tour for 5 days – (Jan 6th 2025 to Jan 10th 2025) - Primarily to cover Angkorwat and other places around Siem reap and any other place from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap. Ra gave us suggested to have one night break in Kampong Thom on the way to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh to see historical places around this area. We booked hotel accordingly. Day 1 - Vanreth (Ra’s younger brother) picked us from our hotel by 8 AM in Phnom Penh in a very comfortable 7 seater van. Very jovial, taking us to restaurants where food to our liking is available & was very helpful in choosing the food we wanted (avoiding Non Veg food)… Stopped at Skuon (Spiderville) just to see spider delicacies and then checked in at Glorious hotel in Kampong Thom. After lunch he took us to Sambor Prei Kuk about 30 Km from Kompong Thom. Day 2 - we covered 5 different temples ( of course ruined and belonging to 7th to 9th century) in Ronak Ser district before reaching hotel in Siem reap and handed us to Ra for next 3 days guidance. Day 3 - picked us by 5 AM itself for seeing Angkor wat during sunrise and till 2.30 PM we continuously saw heritage structures. After 3 hours of Ra guiding us at Angkorwat he took us for breakfast in Angkor Thom area. In Angkor Thom area he showed us - Bayon temple, Suor Proat temple, Ta Prohm/Tree temple and few more. Day 4 – Picked us by 9 AM. Excellent Siva temple – Bantey Srei on the way to Kulen Mountain. In Kulen mountain he showed us Reclining Buddha, 1000 lingas on the riverbed, 60 meters waterfall in which took bath/enjoyed, excellent lunch at Rom Chong Angkor restaurant on the way… Another memorable day. Day 5 – Picked us by 6 AM itself – we checked out from hotel. Took us to Bakong temple & Preah Ko temple – peaceful visit early in the morning itself before heading to floating village. From there he drove us to Phnom Penh airport – stopping at Prey Pros Rest Area restaurant in Kompong Svay for excellent lunch with very good ambience. Ra was knowing a lot on world happening and is a great conversation person. We could engage in interesting discussion on the long drive to Phnom Penh. Also his van was so comfortable – with massaging seats for the passengers & also we enjoyed the journey our Tamil favourite songs as the van had facility to play our pen drive. Ra did an excellent job of showing/guiding us all places in a bigger comfortable van. As he himself is a qualified certified guide, he could explain to us about all historical places in detail. In all tourist spots, Ra as well Reth took lot of excellent photos in mobile and shared them to us which is an added bonus.

My mother (63F) and I (26F) booked the two day tour to preah vihear and Koh ker! From the moment we met Vanra he was charming, intelligent and respectful! His description is accurate. Mr.buny the driver never looked at his phone and he made the ride very comfortable! He took our note of wanting to try local food seriously and we had some amazing delicious food! The tour was so good we got to see the main sights but also some new things that we would have never gotten to see otherwise. We were happy to extend to a second night to also go see Banteay chhmar which had some breathtaking temples and a once in a life time dinner in the temple with traditional music illuminated by candlelight. Vanra made our experience truly unique and fun and I will recommend him to all my friends because he knows a lot, but more importantly makes the entire tour as enjoyable for each person as he can.

Myself and my partner had the BEST time in Cambodia with Ra! He was fantastic throughout and planned the best trips and adventures for us. Ra took us to Battambang for three days and was an excellent host and guide. He has a lovely calm manner, drives well, and speaks excellent English. I highly recommend this service.

BEST GUIDE IN CAMBODIA We toured Banteay Srei temple after visiting the Water for Cambodia charity work at Rom Chey school and village. Ra's deep knowledge of history and his great sense of humour brought the temple to life for my 84 year old mother. Even though we were melting , we enjoyed the tour. We then stopped at the Landline Museum which was very interesting. It was a great day.

Ra is a trusted and safe driver, he does not use his phone while driving and has excellent English, giving great insights into Cambodia life. Fantastic morning spent visiting the Kompong Kleang floating village on the Tonle Sap Lake. Excellent service provided by Ra and his friend our driver. Spoke fluent English and made the trip extremely enjoyable as well as very interesting. Tailored the trip yo our requirements, all in all a superb service and trip.

I recently travelled to Cambodia on business. Van offers terrific tour guide services that meet the needs of a solo female traveler who was on business. I had a limited amount of time, so we discussed what I wanted to see in my 1 1/2 days in Siem Repp. Van organized everything from the airport pick up, to the tuk tuk driver for a quick city and shopping tour, to one full day at Angor Watt. We even managed to fit in a one-hour foot massage at his favorite local place before going to the airport to return to Phnom Phen. What I appreciate about Van - among his many qualities - is his customer service and flexibility. He listened to my needs/wants and delivered on all of them while managing time constraints. As many have stated before, he has a very comfortable car for touring and airport transfers. But most importantly, Van's English is impeccable as well as extensive knowledge of Cambodian history and culture. I strongly recommend his services and in fact, have already started planning with Van for my return trip to Cambodia which will be strictly vacation with my family.

Hurrah for Ra! Ra was our guide for a recent visit to Siem Reap and a subsequent tour across country down to Phnom Penh. We were with him for 9 days. Quite simply, he is excellent! His vehicle is also perfect for a tour with space for luggage, comfortable seats, excellent AC, and Ra’s educational commentary. For 2 adults and 2 children (13 & 10) we were very comfortable throughout. Ra made our trip the superb adventure we wanted it to be. Always on hand to offer advice, translate (his English is excellent), explain Cambodian life, or just handing out a cool towel and a bottle of water. His recommendations for where to go and places to eat were spot on too. We would happily use his services again and heartily recommend him to others travellers.

We had 2,5 interesting and informative days with our guide. We have seen and learned a lot. We would gladly do more tours with the guide at any time! We can recommend him without reservation.
