- ChristineM6590 contributionsMemorable experience with fab guide !We had an amazing time exploring some of Siem Reaps vast and stunning Temples ! Our guide Mr T and his driver Ta were a great pair ! Mr T was a wealth of knowledge and made the trip so much better with his humour and enthusiasm ! Angkor Wat was our first stop with a sunrise, it was a bit cloudy but still a pretty sunrise and silhouette of Angkor Wat ! There is quite a bit of walking up and down lots of stairs which are very steep and little bit awkward, so make sure you wear appropriate footwear! The other 3 temples were all different and still amazing, we had a brunch stop in a lovely restaurant food was great . It's a long tiring day with a 4.30am start and back to hotel around 1pm bug it's worth it 👌Written September 12, 2024

The Kampong Phluk Floating Village Tour, in my case lead by tour guide Win and tour driver Tha, was a great day out on the river that was both relaxing and informative as I personally learned quite a bit about Cambodian culture (while in their care)! Win is very knowledgeable, personable, and engaging which in totality assures a great tour! Tha is both conscientious and attentive as he ensured our safe travel throughout the day (which included embarking and disembarking several boats/boat eatery)! In tandem these two gentlemen are true ambassadors of Cambodian culture as they consistently informed, regaled, and secured our group’s wellness! I give these two, five out of five stars!!!!!
The Cambodians you meet during this tour are warm and friendly people who are also very hard working! Sustaining a livelihood while living along side of a river (and for some months within the river) is both difficult and challenging and yet these people do so with great aplomb! It needs to be witnessed!
Do yourself a favor and have this experience; and if you can do so, request Win and Tha! They’re the best at what they do!!

The experience was really cool and our guide Mr Tear has been really amazing! We were picked-up by our hotels and we have been driven first to a local market where we have been explained some interesting details about the products sold, then we headed to the floating village and did the boat tour. Finally we have been brought to a bar in the middle of the lake from where we could see a marvellous sunset. Totally recommended and many thanks to Mr Tear!

This is a trip worth doing while in the area.
To begin with our guide Vuthy (a.k.a. Mr.T) was a great guide. You can tell he really loves his job and teaching you about his country, history, people, and culture. Our trip was well organized and Vuthy taught us along the way about the areas we visited.
We visited a local market and I opted to buy a fried banana. It was a great snack while we continued our day. It was very enlightening to see how the families live in the fishing village. People working on their boats while children played along the shoreline. It was nice to know tours done in the area also brings extra money in to support this community. It’s quite a livelihood to witness.

Took this tour with awesome guide Win, arranged through the hostel Onederz.
Everything went as planned. Pickup was on time. Win had us stop at a village market , where the locals shop daily. Really interesting. Then we boarded the boats and motored through the floating g village - houses on stilts, the water level was low, so the houses weren’t floating . Would have been awesome to see.
Then we boarded an optional small boat paddled by a village woman through mangrove forest- def do this option $5. Extra . You stop along the way so other women on boats can try to sell you things, politely decline. No high pressure.
Next stop back on the boat to ho out on the massive lake for sunset. Truly beautiful.
Do this tour, and ask for Win he is the best!!!

Good way to spend a relaxing morning or afternoon. Enjoyable four hours visiting local market then boat tour through the floating village then onto Tonie Sap Lake. We stopped for refreshments at floating restaurant with great views of the lake. Our guide Win was the perfect host and looked after us very well. His knowledgeable commentary made the tour even more interesting. Highly recommended.

Had a wonderful experience on our tour this afternoon to Tonle Sap. It was all thanks to our amazing tour guide Vuthy who made the experience a memorable one. He kept us engaged with his warm personality and entertaining jokes, but also shared with us his extensive knowledge on Tonle Sap as well as the history of Cambodia. The tour was extremely well organised and enjoyable. I highly recommend anyone visiting Siem Reap to do this tour and to also request Vuthy to be your tour guide as he is an outstanding guide. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Had the most fabulous experience at Kompong Khleang Floating Village with our very informative tour guide Tear. A wealth of history and knowledge was shared with us throughout the afternoon. Although dry season, it was still amazing to see how people live during these times and hear stories about the wet season & the changes to the community in both of these seasons. Unfortunately the boat ride for me wasn’t one of my finest but Tear and his team went above and beyond to ensure I was ok. The sunrise over Tonle Sap Lake was just magical. Would I do it again? YES!!! Would I recommend this tour? YES, definitely the afternoon tour for the sunset!!!

The Cambodians are wonderful people, and this trip showed us a part of Cambodia that was very special to us. Our guide was Meng, what a fabulous young man and a fantastic guide, and Mr Roth was our driver, who was great. Meng, it was a pleasure to meet you and learn about the local culture. After visiting the local market, which is a must, we went on to Kompong Phluk floating village. It's the dry season now, so there is no floating village because of the water level, but this did not matter. We had a fantastic time. Once out on the lake, we visited one of the floating restaurants, which was great. What a great tour. Thank you.

Tear was one of a kind. He is very knowledgeable and funny as well. This tour was a nice way of learning and discovering the daily lives of the local Khmer people living in the village. Just a bit disappointed because of the weather so we weren’t able to witness the sunset by the lake, but still this trip deserves a five star!

Our experience with Mr Tear was exceptional, with a huge smile, he told us about Cambodian live and traditions, and was always willing to answer our questions..
The tour he offers is good starting on a market where you can see Cambodian selling literally living seafood, after we went to a floating village, watching Cambodians fishing, for finally finish our tour on a Canoe trip (I left my phone on the canoe experience and Mr. Tear helped me to recover it as soon as posible, so I am really grateful with him.) ending the tour watching the sunset view on a boat.
