About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 943catarinaf0 contributionsSunrise at Angkor WatEven though Mr Tola asked me to write this review, I can guarantee that it was a worthwhile visit. The guide was competent and knew several interesting details about the points we passed. We only had one morning to visit Angkor Wat and this tour served us perfectly to get a sense of its size. I went in October and I don't know if it was worth going in the early morning, at sunrise as the sky had some clouds, but it's a matter of luck. It was my second tour with Siem Reap Shuttle Tours and I highly recommend it.Written October 11, 2024
- 15karinaa0 contributionsAngkor visitThe tour was really good organized. The tour guide Sophia give us a very good explanation. The chosen place for lunch was also very goodWritten October 11, 2024
- Sachinv0 contributionsAngkor Watts and Siam Reap TripsI was not sure of how this tour will be. But at the end of the tour 10 kudos to our tour Guide Mr. Lok for his exemplary display of professionalism in his manners, politeness, sharing all the information and his knowledge about Hinduisms, Buddhism and history of Cambodia, its kingdom and history of all the temples. I have not only enjoyed but gained lot of knowledge from him which he shared with us. He explained in detail the history of Angkor Watt, its sculptures, its history. Despite rain and dark weather he took us to mountain just for 3 of us when rest others decided not to climb mountain, just to make sure we see everything and shows his professionalism on customer first approach. We recommend this tour operator in Siam Reap. It’s value for money. They took us in air conditioned van and did not hurry to see the temples. This one highly recommended for your Siam Reap and Angkor Vats tour.Written October 11, 2024
- D9534MLsaraht0 contributionsAmazing journey to the floating village. This was the most amazing trip. The market was one of the most interesting colourful places I have ever been. Pip, our guide, told us so much about the food and people and how they shop there. We continued to the floating village by boat and visited the small school there. It was a highlight and privilege to be able to speak to the children. We then went out to the vast lake, which was peaceful and calm. So glad we chose this trip.Written October 10, 2024

- Yatinadu0 contributionsSiem Reap Shuttle Tours day trip to Kulen MountainWe had a great time during the trip. A special mention of our guide, Mr. Chenda, who made all the difference with his polite, informative, enthusiastic & helpful nature. He explained each and everything in great detail, going back in time, the background of the 1000 lingas & other features, drawing a map re-tracing the path of the Siam Reap river from its source in Kulen mountain, through Siam Reap city & all the way down to its destination, Tonle Sap lake, etc. He took care to ensure that we stopped at the right places & even assisted us with his excellent photography/videography skills. Our driver, Mr. Sor also ensured a smooth & comfortable ride throughout. Overall, a perfectly conducted tour, maintaining a beautiful balance between professionalism & guest relations. He explained the history of the 1000 Lingas very well and it was really interesting. Chenda also took great photos throughout the day - while we were doing the 1000 lingas route, the Buddha temple and the Waterfall. I did three tours this week and unfortunately this one was ranked #3.
The pickup was in time and we were shuttled to the meeting point. The communication lacked a little bit as we were just asked to get out of the van but no one told us were to go, wait or which bus to enter. After some conversations the right bus was found and after another 20-30 minutes the tour started.
The temples which we visited were interesting and the time slots we were given for every location were fine.
Unfortunately, the guide was not as I would have expected. After I entered the bus and we took off, the guide seemed quite annoyed, asked different questions (if anyone had seen a wallet, which hotels we were staying in for organisational purposes etc) without even introducing himself, telling us about the program or any smile. When he had to repeat a question 2 times as no one of the group understood the question he almost shouted at the customer. For me, quite unprofessional. A few minutes before we arrived at the first stop he took the mic, put on a smile and started explaining but it did not feel like he was really enjoying any part of it. During about half of the temples there was only a short explanation and while we were exploring the sights, he was busy texting with his smartphone. In comparison to other tours, this service was unfortunately not comparable.

We regret that this guest expected something more than he received. Our guides work hard and try hard to please all the guests. They are normally successful. It sounds like he was having a very testing day and his vigour and patience were wearing thin. This can happen when people ask unnecessary questions and ask him to find wallets etc. We can only apologise and thank this guest for his feedback.

We had a wonderful day at Banteay Srei. The site is small but nevertheless amazing due to the intricate stone carvings made by the ancient people of Cambodia. Our tour guide Dara adds up to the fun as he is funny and gave us a lot of information about the history and culture of the ancient Khmer people. The only downside of this tour is the restaurant where you’ll have your lunch. The food is expensive and not really good. I hope they will find a new restaurant to bring the tourist. I would have rate it 5 star if we went to a good restaurant to eat.

I did the Banteay Srei tour with Sothea as the guide. He's very energetic about photography and the sites. I appreciate that the company ran the tour even though there was only one other person on the itinerary the day of, rather than trying to move us to a different one. Because of the good experience all around, I booked two more day trips rather than my original plan to rent a bike and visit Angkor for my subsequent visits.

This was our second day visiting the temples with Sok.
He chose the temples at Ankor Thom that he thought we would be most interested in, and he was right.
All of them were beautiful and he explained the history and pointed out so many things that only an experienced guide would know.
He is courteous, very friendly and so knowledgable, and we could have spent many days with him, listening to the history of this fabulous area.
We spent a full day(10 hours with him), and if the temples hadn't have been closing, we could have spent many more hours in his company.
We were supplied with plenty of water and taken to an air conditioned restaurant for lunch (cost not included).
We were also given an insight in to general Cambodian life including his own family and his life.
He also sent us the wonderful photos and a video of our day.
Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and sensible footwear and then just enjoy the wonders of Ankor and Soks expertise.

The Banteay Srei Backcountry Tour with Panha was an unforgettable experience. Having taken a tour with Siem Reap Shuttle previously, we had high expectations, but Panha exceeded them all. The tour covered the grand circuit, which takes visitors to temples of similar quality and significance of the small circuit, but with the added benefit of fewer tourists. This made our visit much more intimate and enjoyable.
Panha is an exceptional guide. Not only is he knowledgeable about the history and culture of the temples we visited, but he also has a dynamic and adaptable approach to leading the tour, catering to our interests while also sharing his personal and entertaining stories. He has a deep understanding of his country and the people, while also making us feel that we truly connected.
The tour covered a lot of sites, and by the end, we were a bit fatigued, but that didn't dampen our experience at all. The temples were definitely a highlight, which were breathtakingly beautiful and historically significant. It was a real treat to visit some of the less-crowded sites, such as Neak Prean, which were just as impressive as other famous temples but with a more serene atmosphere.
Panha was also extremely gracious and hospitable throughout the tour, never expecting or soliciting gratuities. A memorable experience was our stop for street food. He went as far as gifting us food he received from the vendors, a truly generous and unexpected act of kindness. When we gave him a tip at the end of the tour, he surprised us by giving all of it to our driver, showing his dedication to his team and his humility. It was surprising to hear that he is new to the company since his service and hospitality were on par with that of a seasoned veteran.
Overall, the tour was an outstanding experience, and we highly recommend them to anyone visiting Siem Reap. Panha is an exceptional guide who truly made our trip special, and we can't thank him enough for the memories we'll cherish.

Great and very organized tour! I highly recommend this tour as alone I would have never been able to see 6 temples in the same day. Our guide, Mr. Narath is very knowledgeable and shared with us a lot of detailed informations not only about ancient history of Angkor City but also about the dramatic recent story of Cambodia.
As a plus we also stopped to the Landmine museum and it was a very educative and touching experience. Thank you so much!

This tour was a bit off the beaten track, so it was a small tour, which made it a nicer trip. I opted not to see all 5 temples as my feet were killing me from seeing a bunch of temples the day before. Banteay Srei is the best of these temples. It was carved from a harder sandstone, so the sculptures are in great condition.

We had a great two days with our guide, Tin Ratha, and our driver, Mr. Thon. We definitely recommend reserving a tour with this dream team!
We did the sunrise at Angkor Wat, and then they took us on a great route to visit the very popular temples before other tourists arrived. We definitely appreciated this - it can get very crowded at popular spots and none of us like crowds overmuch.
Tin Ratha is very knowledgeable, of course, but goes above and beyond by relating each new temple, statue, or carving, to what we had previously seen. This helped us learn about the Khmer empire and the ancient history of Cambodia, and understand the interplay of religions and how they impacted the architecture of each temple across history.
By the end of day one, we had the broad strokes memorized and were recognizing different iconography in the temples. This transformed our visits from “looking” to “seeing.” He knew we liked trying to synthesize our knowledge and would quiz us on which god could be identified in which carving based on different features or the orientation of the doors. We are competitive, so this was fun!
On day 2 Tin Ratha and Mr. Thon took us to two amazing temples off the beaten path, as well as a waterfall hike on Koulen mountain within the national park. This day is a must-do for me, as the river stone carvings are exceptional, and the intricate temple decorations are truly stunning.
Tin Ratha gave us tons of options within each day, which we greatly appreciated, but then took charge based on our preferences. It helped the tour package feel much more customized to our tastes.
One thing I’m very much appreciating now that our trip is over is that Tin Ratha took photos of our group so that all 3 of us could be picture, and helped us find incredible places for photos that you might not expect. These kinds of little details and extra attentions represent the great experience we had!
On both days, Mr. Thon was very attentive with cold water and cool cloths essentially whenever we got back in the car. On the hiking day, he encouraged us to bring extra water even though we thought we didn’t need it - he was right! His driving was excellent even on some very bumpy dirt roads. The car was very comfortable, and although you could sleep, it’s better to keep your eyes open for all of the sights outside the window.

Our guide for today was Sok who has not only an extremely good historic knowledge, he is also a very good photograph. So if you are a solo traveler, don’t worry, Sok will make sure you will get the best photo with you in it.
We have seen Hindu and Buddhist temples and each temple has its own Charme. You can spend some time to take photos and walk around. Of course Sok will tell interesting stories of the temples. Just follow the stories and you will remember er ones you have seen some reliefs or monuments in other temples. Actually this tour helped me to understand some stories that are told at the walls of Angkor Wat.
So I recommend to do this tour first and then visit Angkor Wat. You can book five day Temple ticket, which you can use on five days to visit temples. Sok explained that Cambodia has 2000 temples…so you have some to choose 😉.
Group photos are essential if you have Sok as a guide. He makes sure that you won’t go home without a photo of your group and guide.
I can highly recommend this tour…you won’t be disappointed. It’s a full day tour so make sure that you are full of energy and bring lots of water 😉…..you need comfortable shoes cause you will walk a lot and just to be on the safe side, bring a rain coat if you travel during the rain season.

You have to buy the temple pass which will enable you to get into all temples including Bentey Srei. Temple pass comes in 1 day 3 days or a week. Price for one day 37, 62 and 75. I’m not exactly sure. But 3 days we took it was 62 per head

Hi,
Looking to see if we can also include the land mine museum too in this trip? We would definitely like to see Banteay Srey but just wanted to see if it was flexible? Thanks

Hi there, I've booked this tour for the 13th Feb. It says the tour offers hotel pickup- who do I need to contact to speak to confirm my hotel pick up?
Thank you.

I booked this at the agency. Usually the agency will provide your hotel details to tour guide and they will pick you up. Agency will give you a time rage as there will be a few other pickups along the way. Best to contact agency you booked this through.
