Wonderful, Meaningful, and Well-Guided Day Trip to Silk Island
Siphat was an amazing tour guide! Everything was smooth, well-organized, and personalized while visiting Silk Island. I felt very taken care of and had a memorable and meaningful time. Siphat was great at capturing the moments I had as a solo traveler which I really appreciated! Highly recommend!

Angkor 5 temples in 5 hours - Wonderful!
We’d opted for a 5 hour trip to 5 temples and our guide Nak & driver Mr Sim arrived promptly for our 7 am start. Nak’s excellent English and extensive knowledge of the sites’ history made this a really informative enjoyable trip. In addition he was very considerate and conscious of our needs, ie a relaxed pace, lots of shade (where possible!) and avoidance of the really steep high stair cases. One of our highlights at Angkor Wat was actually venturing further away from the crowds and staircase to heaven, to a spot where all we could hear was the beautiful bird song against the backdrop of the temple. No others souls in sight! Not only is Nak an excellent tour guide, he was actually once a monk so his tales of monastic life and faith made the trip even more enlightening and special. The temples speak for themselves, ie as beautiful and wondrous as anticipated. Thanks you Nak, Mr Sim and Angkor!

A memorable tour of Siem Reap
I really wanted to thank Mr Sorphea as our tour guide and Gomah, our driver, for our 3 day stay in Siem Reap for making the experience one to remember. Our car was a comfortable, air conditioned modern vehicle which made all journeys very relaxing. Mr Sorphea’s knowledge of the Temples and associated history was second to none so I recommend this gentlemen to anyone planning a trip. The holding company was Green Era Travel.

          High recommend
The travel agency Green Era Travel and Mr Jose organized our stay in Cambodia extremly brilliant In Phnom Penh they arranged a driver from and to the airport and a tuk - tuk driver Mr Sath to take us around. At Siem Reap we had a wonderful time, visiting the riverside and the temples at Angkor Wat. Our guide Mr Kuysin strolled us around explaing everything. He was wonderful and extremely polite, as well as our driver Mr Koma I strongly high recommend this tour office for a trip to Cambodia. Many thanks to Mr Jose is the best (are organized everything)

Our family of 5 was looking forward to this tour, based on reviews. We were disappointed. Prior to the tour beginning, communication was good and pick up was on time, so that was great. The van was comfortable and there was a total of 11 participants. Once on the tour however, it wasn't as good as we had hoped. Our guide gave us almost no information on the drive to the boat or at any time throughout the tour. The boat we went on was old and noisy and there were times it felt like it was about to break down. Viewing the stilted village from the water was interesting. It was when we walked through the village that it just felt manufactured and a money grab. People were selling school supplies and then purchasers were able to take these into the school. Nice idea! however we witnessed more and more groups also being 'persuaded' into purchases. Surely the children don't need dozens of books and pencils every day. Felt the children weren't able to actually learn as they were interrupted so frequently to talk to well meaning tourists. After the village walk we went back in the old boat out onto the lake. That was good. We however pulled up to a floating 'restaurant' tourist trap where it was another grab for money. For some reason, it is thought that tourists want to see caged crocodiles and snakes ... they are there for no other reason than to be looked at. I don't think that this tourist company is any different from any of the others, we seemed to be on the same circuit as lots of other groups. Summary, We were interested to see the stilted village but felt very uncomfortable about the use of children to make money.

We took this tour in the dry season and in my view is a 'must do' tour.
We first visited the local food and goods market where you see the locals preparing fish, frogs, snakes, fruit & veg etc for sale to the locals. This is a market for the locals and is amazing to see. We then carried on to the boat to see the floating village of Kamplong Phluk which was not floating this time of year but is still amazing to see. Walk down the 'high street' where you can only get down by boat in the wet season. If you get the chance you must go to the primary school children's class to see them learn to read, write and speak English. This was fantastic, the children are beautiful, so friendly and proud to speak to you and show their skills. Please, please donate some dollars here as this runs solely on donations. We then carry on down the river onto the huge Tonle Sap lake (largest in Asia) and spend some time on a floating cafe where you can see crocodiles and snakes.
This was a fantastic tour and our guide was great too, very informative.

This was a great little tour of the floating village. We stopped at a floating restaurant on the lake but there was no pressure to buy anything. On the way back, we walked through the village. I learned so much about the culture of this village and of Cambodia in general on this tour - Nak is a fantastic tour guide and I highly recommend him.

My husband and I were picked up from our hotel at 2.00 pm and the mini bus continued to pick up other passengers. In total there were 11 of us wanting to see the floating villages on Tonle Sap Lake. Our tour guide, SAN, was extremely knowledgeable and very professional in his approach. San was also very helpful to my husband (who has nerve damage to his feet) and assisted him on and off the boat. We disembarked at the village centre and walked past all the stilt houses. I had taken some books and pencils and SAN introduced me to the founder of the village school. The school requires volunteers to teach the children English if anyone is interested. We then continued our boat cruise out onto the lake and watched the beautiful sunset. The road trip to and from the lake was all part of the experience as which we thoroughly enjoyed. A big thank you to SAN who made the trip such a wonderful experience.

Our visit to this village on stilts near the lake was very memorable and entirely worthwhile. Our guide, Sorphea, did a wonderful job. He was very knowledgeable about this unique area. He took us through a nearby street market and the sights and smells were unforgettable. The visit to the village might have been even better if it were during the wet season, but even this time of year, we were able to take a unique boat ride near the village and out on to the lake. This is an excellent tour for anyone visiting Siem Reap. This is a small group tour and Green Era Travel seems to be a very good choice. However, during participant pickups at the hotels, they have a policy that they will wait for ever, even if a participant is a no show. We waited a full 1/2 hour for a no show. This is unfair to other participants and should be limited to a 10 minute wait. But for this one complaint, I would have given this 5 stars.

My wife and I had a great trip with Nak, our guide. He was really knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. The tour itself was really interesting, stopping at a local market, before heading on the boat to visit the floating village and Tonle Sap. Despite it being the dry season we still had a great time and would recommend this very reasonably priced trip.

        Many thanks,

Tour company was punctual and well organized. Fun to see the village on stilts. Did the canoe trip in the mangroves and that was fun. Canoe is $5 extra per person which the tour company tells you ahead of time that it is not included. On the canoe ride, someone selling items comes by and asks you to buy something for your canoe driver. Everything is expensive for being in Cambodia and the price is what it would be in the US. They try to make you feel guilty. Didn't really appreciate that. Went out onto the lake for a bit. We didn't get to walk in a village like other people reviewed but it was cold and rainy and windy so that's probably why. Educational tour. I would recommend this tour.

Our guide knew his stuff, it was a great introduction into how the locals live.

It must be said that if you go in the dry season only half the tour is on the river. The floating village/market part of the tour is a walk through. But our guide knew his stuff, and it came alive, meeting the locals, the children in school, listen to them practise their English with you, wonderful!

The lake bit (second half of tour) you go out to the floating restaurants, where you can see crocodiles, (you can even feed them)! Doesn't cost too much!

And other weird and wonderful animals reptiles and lake creatures... I was told you could possibly eat them too if you had the stomach for it!! 😕😋🤔

Watch the locals fishing as you have a bite to eat and a beer, then settle in for the short boat ride back.

I haven't been in the Rainy Season, so couldn't comment on what that's like.

        Enjoy!

My boyfriend and I loved this tour for so many reasons. Our tour guide was just amazing and we had so much admiration for his attitude, background and his love for his Country. He talked us through so much more than what the tour provided on paper and really opened up about his experiences and the life of the Khmer people. His english was also excellent and again, very admirable.

The tour offers a wonderful view of the village people and their every day lives. It is very humbling and warming to see. We stopped off at a small market to view the local art before providing us with a very comfortable car ride back to our pick-up point. This is a must do tour and will not disappoint. A special thank you to our tour guide San who made our experience even more memorable.
