- fredericoDS0 contributionsExcellent Sombai. And Marvelous and kind ownerWe went here just to buy Sombai. But we were taken by surprise as we had a wonderful experience in this place. The owner took us on a tour and explained the entire process around their Sombai. And then we had a marvelous tasting experience, not only by the quality of their drink but in the same measure by the warm and kind conversation with the amazing owner.Written August 27, 2024
- ortyjrf0 contributionsSombai is the bestLiterally the best rice wines ive ever had! Ive been traveling multiple times in Indochina and i could say that Sombai stands out the most! Everyone is so hospitable, staff explaining everything and the owner is so nice 🥹Written July 23, 2024

- Alan S0 contributionsMust visit in Siem Reap!!Lovely place and all of the drinks were amazing. Big thanks to Heart for talking us through them all and giving us tasters. Ended up buying 8 of the flavours and will be back for a big bottle of Mango Green Chilli tomorrow.Written January 15, 2024
- mcoflyboy790 contributionsMUST VISITDefinitely stop by here. We had an absolutely fantastic time doing the tasting. The owners were beyond friendly and gave us advise on places to go in Siem Reap. Highly recommend going here. They also have sell true Kampot pepper. Photo 1 in review by Daniel ShultzWritten January 3, 2024
- samsO3321FI0 contributionsWonderful rice wine tasting experienceI popped in here spontaneously with my partner on our final afternoon in Siem Reap. We were given a little tour of the facility, and tasted ~10 different flavours of rice wine. All rice wines are infused with sugar cane and a range of local aromatics, including lemon & lemongrass, banana & cinnamon, pineapple & coconut, and tamarind & galangal. The wines make for a very mellow evening drink, with a flavour profile totally unlike any 'rice wine' I have had in other parts of Asia. Apparently they are also stress/pain-relieving, and don't give you a hangover, although I have yet to test that claim....The bottles are beautifully decorated with hand-painted designs, mostly Angkor-inspired (e.g. Bayon faces, Angkor Wat's towers, and twirling apsaras). They look great on the mantelpiece. We came away with about five! Heart was a wonderful guide - we had a lovely conversation about the background to this style of infused rice wine, and about life in and around Siem Reap. We couldn't have asked for a better farewell!Written August 21, 2023
- rickfR8670WS0 contributionsInfused rice wine... Even better than it soundsIf you like rice wine, you NEED to try this place. We found it by having some at a local restaurant and I knew I needed to find some to take home. We happened to meet the owner and he was amazing too.Written August 9, 2023
- ohayo10 contributionsInfused Rice Wine shopI encountered this ship while on a free hotel excursion and if not for the hotel I would not have found it. It's a small building that you may just walk or drive past without ever knowing it was there. But when you go inside the small shop and see all the hand painted bottles filled with Rice wine that has been infused with 12 different flavours you sit down and relax. But first take a trip up the almost vertical stairs to see the infusing bottles and watch the staff hand paint the bottles. Some of the paintings are seriously goodWritten June 6, 2023
- Rswtrsffrn0 contributionsAwesome host and unique flavours of rice wineJoelle was an amazing host. My boyfriend and I felt like we were visiting a friend’s home and getting an amazing rice wine tasting experience at the same time. The flavour combos of the wines were so unique and unexpected, it was so fun to taste each one and find our favourite. Even though the tasting is free Joelle was so chill and genuine that we never felt pressured into buying anything but that makes you want to support this local business even more! Love what Joelle and her team are doing with local Cambodian rice wines and flavours. Our favourite was the Umami rice wine and jam - highly recommend experiencing this for yourself on your visit to Siem Reap. She also had some awesome restaurant and bar recommendations that we loved! Thank you Joelle and team!Written March 10, 2023
- chlxoe_everest0 contributionsthe BEST hidden gem in Siem ReapThe most incredible afternoon and such a lovely experience! We were shown round a beautiful little building and shown the infusion process before doing a free rice wine and alcoholic jam tasting! The flavours were INCREDIBLE and so unique and the lady who took us through the tasting could not have been more lovely or more informative. The bottles are all hand painted locally and make beautifully individual souvenirs whilst the jams are just to die for! We loved that regional flavours such as pepper were used as well as some tropical/ unique ones such as ginseng and umami! I ended up going for banana and cinnamon as my top flavour which even surprised myself! Could not recommend this enough if you’re looking for something a little different to do whilst in Siem Reap :) (and definitely buy a bottle or two, trust me you’re going to want to!)Written March 9, 2023

- Anita G0 contributionsA must do in Siem ReapUnique experience of the tastes of Cambodia. A great set up very professional but brilliant fun. The alchemist of the liqueurs and jams and her team, ensure you have an amazing time with humour and good company, even a bit of dancing. The tasting session is followed by you making and drinking three very delicious cocktails. Can’t recommend this enough, it’s a must - we loved it.Written March 3, 2023

- chalf1230 contributionsThe best night we've had yetA truly amazing experience that I cannot recommend highly enough. My partner and I have been traveling through South East Asia for about 2 months and can easily say that we have had one of the best nights of our trip here. The cocktails are great but what really sets it apart are the manger and instructor running the night. Both are such amazing people and made us feel not as paying customers but as friends that you had met up for a few cocktails. It's hard to understate how much we enjoyed the evening and if we could rate it higher we would. The next time we are in siem reap or cambodia we will be making a trip back for another fantastic night!Written January 20, 2023

We have just had the best evening here tonight at the cocktail making class.
The lady who conducted it was super engaging and passionate about her work, it made it so enjoyable.
It felt very personable with only four guests; we started with an informative tour of the business and were shown around the lovely house that they had recently acquired and refurnished. Then we were able to sample 11 liqueurs with an informative flavour board explaining each one. If you enjoyed some more than overs you could request a little more of that flavour too!
Then onto the cocktail making; 3 different drinks, and great fun being directed by the lovely bartender, with hints and tips on how to tweak according to your individual preference. The staff were brilliant and so passionate about what they do, we both had a brilliant few hours in their company.

We loved our pre-dinner experience! We highly recommend this tour, enjoyed along with our guide Chiovan and out teenage sons. We bought a ginger & chilli rice wine, umami jam and some beautifully hand painted shot glasses. I only wish we had more time there. Thanks for a great experience. We would highly recommend this experience.

Excellent local enterprise. Very friendly and informative young man showed us around and guided us through tasting - he was so easy to talk to. The various tasting flavours were really interesting - some were so delicious (passion fruit and spices especially). We wished we had more luggage room as we would have bought more to take home - lovely painted bottles in a range of sizes. Definitely recommend a visit!

We did a liquer tasting tour with Dara, and it was amazing! We first had a tour and then got to taste 10 different liquers. Dara was very sweet and explained everything very well. You get water and snacks as well and it costs around 5 dollar for one person. Would definitely recommend, as a stop on your trip to Siem Reap.

Out of this world. I can't wait for what Ben and Akim have planned for the future in terms of expansion and a larger portfolio of exotic combinations (sweet and sour, what a perfect blend!). Not only were they our lovely guides for the night, but also real people with real experiences and a passion for keeping the tradition of Cambodian rice wine alive. Thank you guys so much for an unforgettable experience!

This was a great ending to the tour.
The history of the store and drinks were explained carefully and thoughtfully. The store has a very pleasant design and the pricing is reasonable. The tasting session was extensive, which allowed me to truly enjoy all of the different flavors available to us. Definitely a recommendation for your stay here!

We had a great time. Dara was a wonderful guide as he taught us a lot about the fermentation process and the different flavor blends. The conversation was very nice and enjoyable. The place is very nicely decorated and spacious, it makes you want to stay longer.

Not much crowd over here, the worker here was extremely friendly with good english command. I would say this is a unique experience we had in Siem Reap and their rice wines are something we haven't tried before. Would recommend tourists to give it a try.

Dear Customer,
We thank you for taking time to share your great experience at our shop.
We are indeed a small workshop that is not in the main touristic area, providing a homey kind of vibe to the tasting session, just like sitting in your living room sipping on liqueurs and snacking on alcoholic jams and crackers. Something different to discover indeed.
We hope you will recommend us to your friends and family visiting Siem Reap soon.

We were recommended to this place by a local so today we found it. Not far from Hard Rock Cafe. Our hostess (Heart) was very friendly and informative. We learnt about this tradition alcohol of Cambodia. It doesn’t take long but I’d recommend the visit.
