          Gemology Overview
I love gemstones and jewelry, so I jumped at the chance to take an all day class in gemology and I am so glad I did. I thought I knew a fair amount about gemstones, but I found out that my base knowledge is just the tip of the iceberg. The class started with an overview of the different types of gems and their cystaline structure, which became very important the second half of the day. I was able to ask any question I had and received an answer. The information I learned will be invaluable in the future and I look forward to taking another class in the States to learn more. If you are ever planning on buying jewelry anywhere, you should take this class!

          Customer Service Need To Improve
Visited the place due to it's trust able review in TripAdvisor but the lady who is overall in charge seems to be very "high end" and kind of rather "stone face" in dealing with customer. We had no choice as we were really interested in buying the gems in the store in which we ended buying 5 stones. We would have bought more if not for this high end lady who seems to very "watchful" in we were in the store. She really need to go for some customer service class!!! She was also "high end" approach with the two poor ladies who were working in the store.

          beautiful stones and museum
I'm not a jeweller, but love and have collected gemstones and crystals since I was a little girl. This is a lovely pleasant place, with free tuktuk to and from the hotel - as long as you don't go to any other shops, which is a shame, if you do spend money there! I purchased some lovely pieces, however, the staff were very close. Everything is locked. I prefer to just look on my own and will ask for help if I want it, not have the staff hovering over me every second. I would recommend a look here.

          Class 😩 didn’t get in
I tried to get registered for class but missed the “2 weeks notice” portion of the registration. I went to the store as I had difficulty registering “my way”. The staff was super nice and explained that when I tried to register as 1, i would automatically be in a private class. I will definitely register correctly the next time I come out! Staff was knowledgeable with the questions I had about other stones and stand proudly behind the owner and his integrity! Very impressive.

The most beautiful stones and kindest professional staff :)
I stumbled across this place whilst shopping in Siem Reap. I love my gemstones and jewellery and collect back in the U.K so I was in heaven in this place! There are so many pretty stones to look at on one side which is the little museum- and on the other side of the store are the pieces you can buy for a really reasonable price. The quality of the jewellery is really good and the staff were so friendly and professional. I left the shop with a beautiful onyx ring that will forever remind me of my time spent in Cambodia :). If I had more time here I would have loved to try out the workshop to make a ring myself!

Visit here for the most beautiful quality gems!
We came across the Gemological Institute as we were exploring nearby markets. It’s an excellent place, with a wide variety of gems displayed beautifully. I was fascinated by the precious gem display (gems not on sale) and I found the most perfect gem I have ever seen. It was the most captivating green gem I have ever seen. (I just wish I could recall the type and name). It is absolutely worth visiting the Gemological Institute, and all the staff members are very professional, kind, patient and explain each gem of interest to you. I will certainly return to Siem Reap and purchase a gem from here on my next visit. 5 stars!

Visited the shop when i was walking along the market
I was with my husband walking pass the shop. We went in to look for blue or red ruby. It was pretty late that night and close to closing time , although they did not rush us but we decided to visit another day. We went back the shop three days later . They still can recognized us and this lady by the name Daini is very patience. She told us which stone is natural and which is heated .We cant find any ruby we like but she take the trouble to show us the Cambodia stones .She is very honest and we can tell the professionalism in her. She took her time to explain clearly and inspect each and every stones we see. Because due to the stone is not the one we are looking for, we need some time to consider. She never pull a long face and still asked us to consider before buying . We left after her long explanation of about an hour. Finally , we decided to go back to her and bought the stone. I should say that Daini in fact a Gem to the shop . Without her , we might not even want to get anything from that shop . Conclusion , the shop is reliable and its the best shop i can find in Siem Reap.

          Great shop
A lovely little shop with reasonably priced jewellery & loose gems. The assistants were very helpful & courteous and allowed me to try numerous pieces before I made my decision. There was no hassle or pressure to buy. If you want genuine gems go here rather than take a chance at the markets.

          Quality jewellery
After visiting the gemological institute I decided to have a ring made. The designs at the shop were not appropriate for my needs so I contacted Jean-Phillip via email with a photo of what I wanted. He was prompt returning my email and we decided on a design and a price. The ring arrived quickly and I was surprised with how well made and beautiful it was. I would totally recommend this service and will be doing it again.

Make sure to visit this place if you are looking for legit gems. They are the only certified store in Siem Reap. The staff are very accommodating and will answer all your queries.

          Gems Galore
In an industry where a large proportion of the product is alleged to be laboratory created , or outright fake, it was a pleasure to shop at this place in Cambodia. The gems were real, the prices were fair and the shop assistants were curtious and helpful. Nobody tried to coerce me into buying anything. The display of gems from around the world was amazing and I am disappointed that my time to take a class was not possible. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.

          Great little shop!
Went to buy something for my sisters birthday. Staff are very knowledgeable regarding the gems in the shop and were very helpful. Only downside is the staff are very persistent when you are trying to have a look initially; it almost made us walk out. We love our purchases though.

          Designed for women only
The shop is indeed nice to visit. No pushy sales women. However, all the items in the store are designed to be worn by women only. This is a big miss as guys also start to wear more jewelry.

          Gemstones for milestones
For my milestone birthday, I bought a beautiful gemstones ring from here in 2018. I was loving it as the ring represents so well about my life so far. Unfortunately I lost one small gemstone of the setting a few months later. I was so sad as I love the ring so much! On my return visit to Siem Reap, I took the ring back to them to see what they can do? The wonderful Alice actually helped repair it!!!! This has nothing to do with money, but Alice and the team understand a piece of jewellery is far more than just looking pretty. It can represents so many different meanings and milestones in life. I truly appreciate Alice’s sincere help and the awesome customer service from the team. Thank you!

We are a family of four and scheduled a 1/2 day workshop. Alice presented the museum, categories of gems, then explained how to identify the various gems with different techniques that we got to experiment.
We also bought some very nice jewelry and raw gems in the store. The workshop is a bit expensive for a family of four but worth it as it is quite unique. The jewelry is affordable and beautiful and we are very happy with our purchases.
Overall a great experience that i highly recommend ... we were very happy with the quality of the services, which is not always guaranteed in Siem Reap.

My wife and I took a 3 hour session with Jean-Philippe which was very beneficial and informative. For us it was very good learning relating to basic gemoligical identification and classification. For anyone with an interest, Jean- Philippe has the skills and knowledge to address your level of increased knowledge. I would highly recommend.

I got a very interesting visit and learn a lot about the different varieties of gems.
I did not know about the different stones and gems in Cambodia. Nice things to do besides the temple.

Dear Benji, Thank you very much for your review. Indeed, few people know that Cambodia is one of the Asian countries with the most variety of precious and semi-precious stones. We are glad to be able to show the hidden treasures of Cambodia to all our visitors. We hope you will come to visit us again. We always have new gemstones and our collection is growing every day.

My husband and son spent 3 hours in the company of the highly knowledgeable but very interesting Professor Jean-Philippe Lepage who introduced them to the world of gemstones and the science behind their identification and grading and classification. How to identify synthetic, treated and natural gemstones. He made the session a highly enjoyable time and as a result for anyone who wants to build their basic knowlege of gemstones and have a break from the touring AngkorWat to try something different. Highly recommend.

I learned so much from this workshop and would highly recommend this to those who are interested in jewelry and knowing more about gems and the science behind the types of gems. I was taught how to distinguish natural VS synthetic stones with my naked eye and using tools like a UV light pen, eye magnifying glass and a microscope. Philippe was very knowledgeable about all stones and answered so many of my questions! He explains technical things simply using paper and pen to illustrate and lets you experience first-hand how to evaluate a strone using lab tools. In the end of the course, they will give you a certificate too. I had an awesome time and will definitely carry this knowledge with me next time I shop for gems and jewelry!
