Exceeded expectations
We've been to A LOT of aquariums and zoos and such and had lowered expectations for this thing-to-do on a weekday morning - especially in the understaffed post-pandemic. We were really impressed. Clean, fun, extremely educational and professionally presented. On par with many of the zoological society aquariums we've experienced so great job, folks!

Dead fish
Jul 2021
Very underwhelming... Dead fish in tanks... Would not revisit or recommend. There are better aquariums.

DONT GO HERE
Aug 2020
Not worth price of admission. Aquariums were in poor condition, staff know next to nothing about all of the sea life. Back stage Tour is NOT worth it, the person taking you on the tour knew nothing about what she was showing us. There are more diverse sea creatures and more to see at your local aquarium store/fish shop. If your going to an aquarium, go to Belle Isle.

It was fine. Clean. I just wouldn’t call it an aquarium. I would call it multiple fish tanks, not my definition of aquarium

Awful experience - One and DONE!
Feb 2021
Home educated my, now grown children. Happy to see they are home educating their children who were confined due to COVID craziness and winter doldrums. Enticed by the saving of 55% on tickets, I brought 3 of my grandchildren. PROS: Exihibits were great - end there. Suggest that thrill seekers go across to Rainforest Cafe and see the sea life and animatronics for FREE!! far better value. . . CONS: At 11am reservation time met with extremely L-O-N-G lines - not equipped to handle the crowd; not enough staff on duty - only one person at the counter to scan pre-printed tickets; guestbook $5.30 - supposed to be excited by the coupon inside offering a measely 10% off gift shop purchases; tight, cramped spaces with wagons, double strollers, and wandering toddlers; once on the path it was HOT-poor climate control; ridiculously inflated prices on $1 store items featured in the gift shop; photographer (whom you see upon entry) didnt bother direct or advise us on where to stand for best picture. Resulted in fuzzy picture with subjets positioned to the far right background of SeaLife backdrop.Should have walked away but grands wanted the picture - requested a retake!! ; cost of photo not posted anywhere (2 shots with SeaLife backdrops $37.50); advised to travel the path in ONE DIRECTION became rather chaotic as people doubled back to take pictures inside of aquarium. ONE AND DONE - glad it was at such a reduced price - never again! ADVICE: Do not visit an aquarium located in a shopping mall.

Family fun
Jan 2021 • Family
We still had to wait in line for about 10 minutes. It would be nice if there was also a kiosk that can scan the barcodes instead of waiting for the front desk staff. All & all the aquarium was fun. I would go again!

Good Day Trip!
We decided to visit to get out of the house with 3 children age 4-7. We purchased single event tickets online as the combo tickets were sold out. There were no lines as we were encouraged to arrive at entrance only at our scheduled time. We got right into the aquarium. Masks required as well as social distancing. There was soap sanitizer dispensaries throughout. The size and variety of tanks was adequate but definitely geared towards small children. The interactive crawl tunnels were closed. There is no option to avoid the gift shop which is chalked full of $20 dollar stuffed toys. Be prepared to enjoy the fish and pay double the ticket price to exit through the gift shop. Would I take my 4 year old back. Yes because she loves the fish and is an only child. While we had a good time I don't think the price is a good value for families with multiple kids.

See the Toledo Zoo aquarium instead and get your money's worth
Mar 2020
This needs to be a lot bigger to make it worth the cash. The Toledo Zoo is an hour away (just past the Michigan/Ohio line but is bigger, and for a few bucks more, you get to see other animals.

Good way to kill some time.
The aquarium was small and had a lot of normal fish. I thought it was a little pricey for the small space.
