I immediately said it to the server they said they will get a new one I refused as I knew I would get food poisoning. The manager said this is how the meat is meant to be, I said I was a chef and it's it nothing to do with eating beef rare, well done etc. It is to do with the fact you have cooked and uncooked food together and I ate it. So I uncomfortably new that night that i wasn't going to be unwell on my holiday which I was for 48hours. I was very disappointed to realise that the manager said he will remove the bill which he didn't and he went off and never spoke to me after as he knew I was correct. When you book with them, they promise certain services and items, but in reality, none of it happens. Their customer service never follows up on your requests. They take your money, fail to provide the service, and avoid refunding you. For the safety, money, and comfort of your passengers, avoid them at all costs. They charged me in advance, overcharged, and promised certain cars to pick us up from the airport. Instead, an old, simple SUV arrived, and after a 14-hour flight at 10 pm, they took us to a gas station to fill up and then finally to the airport. I was there alone and Kareem helped me with photo and video a lot. He was like a professional videographer, thank you for my amazing photos and memories. Didn’t have the freshness and presentation of others. Unfortunately I ended up with food poisoning. My husband and I had the tasting menu. He didn’t eat some of his nigiri as he felt it looked unsafe. He also doesn’t like mushrooms so I ate those with the wagyu dish. Ended up violently ill wasting one of my 4 days on vacation. The starters, my wife loves prawn cocktails and she said it’s the best she has ever had!! The steaks melted in your mouth and the deserts…wow. Yes it gave us to view the different deer up close when they were being fed. But the cheetah or any animal in small cages hiding behind concrete enclosures doesn’t count. I can get better at a zoo. Not worth the time or money.
My wife and I booked this as part of our honeymoon trip. Information on this site and on the Burj's website is vague and in the case of this brunch at the time we booked back in January, misleading. A couple things to make sure you are aware if you are considering this:
-The Burj Club is not associated with At the Top, the main company that handles tours of the observation decks for the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Club is located on the third floor of the building.
-You will not get any access to the 124th or 125th floor via this experience, despite how any of the ads may be worded. You need to book this separately.
My wife and I found this out after we arrived, and we were not the only couple there that fell for the same trap. We got the manager involved, who while did try to help us with empathy, ultimately could not do anything. So we were stuck having paid for a brunch that lacked the essential element that justified us booking it in the first place (we stayed at an all inclusive resort. The food at the brunch was not much different).
And too add insult to injury, after 30 minutes of back and forth and coming to the conclusion there was no resolution, we decided to stay and eat what we paid for. My wife asked for a cocktail and the server "had to check and make sure that was part of our package"...I had the booking in hand showing we had purchased the alcohol package.
If you are like us and have limited time to spend in Dubai and want to save money, this is not worth it. We wasted precious time here and it made for a low note in our trip.
