- alexgZ3862XN00Don‘t expect too muchIt‘s old. There are only approx 4-5 different types of butterflies. They have only 3/4 domes of which one was closed. The price is to high for what you get. The entry was full of frames with pierced dead butterflies. That‘s nothing one want to see. At the exit they try to sell you overpriced private taxis.
- charleneferns900Butterfly Garden in Dubai was truly enchantingVisiting the Butterfly Garden was a truly magical experience. It was a chance to witness the beauty of nature up close, to connect with these enchanting creatures, and to appreciate the wonders of the natural world. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photography lover, or simply seeking a serene and captivating experience, the Butterfly Garden in Dubai is a must-visit destination that will leave you with cherished memories.
- tayef_199400Nice little garden with various species of butterfliesThis garden is worth visiting if you are also visiting Miracle Garden as they are right next to each other. You get to see various species of butterflies which sometimes come over to rest on you, making for some lovely photos! The entry price is very reasonable for Dubai however, the location makes it difficult to reach and you will likely have to spend quite a lot for a taxi.
- kartikay2023_anand00Satisfying experience!!It was a great experience seeing all the butterflies. 50 varieties of butterfly!!! It's a great great thing.. They were flying all around, sitting on us. Marvelous experience!! The place was well maintained. Staff were welcoming and guiding well.
- Namanvora00Visit only if you are with young kidsThe place was amazing and my wife and children really enjoyed the experience due to the atmosphere and the once in a lifetime chance of touching a butterfly, But if you are travelling without kids ,..I don’t think you need to spend 65AED for 1 hour of time spent,.there are way too many other nice places to visit in dubai…
- Daydream3426910018600Give it a passI would suggest the place only if you love butterflies and have a lot of patience to see the different types of butterflies there.I personally did not think it was worth the price.I would skip this.
- KentAngelfish00Beautiful butterflies, tired facilities. Worth a visit.Beautiful butterflies, tired facilities. Really enjoyed time with the butterflies, quite a number of specifies to see, but not sure they were the range of specifies advertised. Nonetheless, so beautiful to be so close to these lovely creatures and good to see children learning about them. The facilities are tired and rather garish given this is a relatively recent attraction for Dubai. Staff all looked a bit miserable apart from the welcome. But worth going.
- viktorr61100Not recommend, disgusting experience"Garden" contains 4 closed zones. First one with paintings with glued dead butterfly bodies in good condition, so they were killed just for this purpose. 2-4 zones are places definitely not for butterflies: - no places to hide - no natural pollen source, just pieces of fruits to attract butterflies - plants with leaves that inflates with air conditioners so butterflies forces to fly - dumb grown people and many kids, that pushes butterflies, grabs their wings or even squize their bodies - absolutely passive staff not controlling butterfly safety Disgusting and sad experience
- 410jial00A good place for kidsMy daughter love this place, very beautiful, she also learnt something, for example the lifecycle of a butterfly. The smell there is emm…
- RockieCrow00RecommendThe place itself wasn't that big, if you're spending 2hrs in it then that's be something you decide yourself, there was two halls, filled with butterflies flying around you. There's a small room where you can take photographs with a huge beautiful moth. All in all it took me less than an hour. It's a nice place to be taking your family and kids, even go by yourself and enjoy a few moments with the butterflies.
- MZCPurahoo00Dubai Butterfly GardenVery very very and again very nice. Family and kids loved. Butterflies all around. Easy online booking. Easily reached by taxi but to leave is quite a mess to find a taxi. Else it was butterfly like. Even a bit romantic too..
- Lasazar00Small nice place with butterflies all overThree nice made areas full of butterflies one can walk through. If you have time and you are patient to stay at one place for some time, you can see the butterflies everywhere. And it can easily happen, that one butterfly lands on you and sits there for a while. But please don’t touch or grab them. They are fragile animals and many people don’t care. They just want to get their special picture. The entrance fee is ok. The variety of insects is good. Additional information about the animals exists. If you like butterflies, it is worth to go there.
- Saedhaddadin00Nice place and nice adventureIt was great experience and they have plenty types of beautiful butterflies that you can observe closely and play with. Unfortunately the external area is not 100% appropriate for little ones but overall it was nice and the staff are helpful and nice.
- Kmg198200Don’t goDon’t bother. Spent 15 minutes here. Lots of dead butterflies, people trying to touch/catch the butterflies, there was a funny smell. We saw butterflies with broken wings, unable to fly properly. It was terrible!!
- Ulysseus00Must Visit!Whoa! the butterflies are massive and can sit anywhere. Kids will love this place and its a must visit for families. Very friendly park staff.

We have visited ethical butterfly enclosures in the past (in different countries) and were hoping for a similar experience but unfortunately didn’t get that.
The enclosure itself lacked the effort to replicate the true environment of butterflies - sparse plants, strange plastic animals/birds dotted around as decoration, flaking paint from the ceiling. It also had a very unpleasant smell.
There were not very many butterfly species, and the species they did have were very large. Neither of these points is necessarily a criticism, but what felt uncomfortable was the amount of them in the enclosure. It felt like far too many butterflies were there compared to the amount of plants. Most of the butterflies were clinging to the ceiling or window as opposed to being amongst the plants. We also spotted several dead butterflies, again it is understandable that there may be some dead butterflies as the life span is short, but it felt like there was no effort that these were being moved from the enclosure. We also saw several injured butterflies walking along the paths, which is concerning as to how they became injured in an enclosure. We observed people touching and picking up the butterflies which was upsetting to see. The doors to the enclosure were also not secure therefore we noticed butterflies in the hallway.
There was also an aviary at the back. It appeared cramped and over crowded and the birds looked sad. One was also on the outside of the cage.

It might be nice for children to visit but they should know it’s not a petting zoo. It‘s a bit run down and much smaller as expected - I wouldn’t know how to spend more than 45 min there. And afterwards I felt I needed a kitsch detox, but of course this is very subjective. Go in early to be able to enjoy it best. It’s sad you see some butterflies with partly destroyed wings; some people do not respect living creatures. It was not informative beyond the level of elementary school which I personally found disappointing. I also wished they would create a more natural surrounding with more of the plants these butterflies actually feed on - they get fruit pieces to attract them, though. It would have been interesting to give at least one exemplary view of the total life cycle of one species, how they depend on a specific plant and how a sane environment is vital for their survival. There are some preserved exhibits of chrysalis but you can’t see any caterpillars in action; nor at least pictures of what they look like before they become butterflies. Bottom line: The whole place needs a total make-over, more in the vein of the sustainability pavilion on the expo site.

Wonderful, Beautiful, Delicate!
There are several different butterfly areas. (Four, I think) In each area there is an arbor where there are numerous butterflies that one can Gently scoot one's hand under and have a beautiful creature resting there. There is bird song piped in which is quite nice, as they would't want actual birds and lots of plants. There were folks to answer questions and explain about the butterflies.
At one point I thought I saw a bat out of the corner of my eye! However, it was a giant beautiful Moth! I asked where it's proboscis was (for eating). I learned these giant creatures live as adults for only 7 days!! And they don't eat! WOW! The colorful butterflies are constantly flittering all around, enveloping one.
It is wonderful and beautiful. Almost feels like a fairy land.

Incredible and amazing place to visit while in Dubai. Everything is just spectacular and the most awesome experience ever. To have the butterflies fly around while you are in the same enclosed area is exceptional. So many different species of butterflies and colours. Just an incredible and exciting time we had.

Beautiful place to visit while in dubai , easy to reach and plenty of space to park . Many species of beautiful and friendly buterflies will land on your face , hand , clothes, etc . The employees are nice and friendly . We visited on the 25th morning as it is an air-conditioned garden , it wasn't busy . Our guide ( i guess miguel) was extremely nice ,helpful, and so knowledgeable.
They do have as well some activities for kids, including face painting. Kimberly was very talented and transformed our daughter's face to a beautiful purple butterfly.
The only downside and why 1 star was removed is that we could not see any caterpillars as sadly they do not have them on the garden ! Really Sad, as the experience will never be completed without caterpillars .

We spend an afternoon walking through this amazing place, enjoying the butterflies up close, and marveling at the beauty of it all. You can hold the butterflies and the staff helped us take pictures. I did wish there was more information on the lifecycle and all the different types of butterflies we saw.

This was super interesting and nice. It felt a little weird when the butterflies touch you but it’s super cool. Four zones, spent almost 2 hours there. They have a lot to see and a lot of information to share. Honestly an awesome place for friends and families.

Great idea, and was expecting higher seems. However, ticket pricing is exaggerated. Facilities are old. Although butterflies are quantitatively high, but lacking variety. Needs improvement.

There should be stricter rules regarding the encounters with these wonderful creatures.
First of all, entering the building was the first room, which was quite surprising at first sight. It was decorated with ummmm, 'the dead remains of butterflies organized to create a big portraits'. So yeah, the first room, part of a butterfly garden, was decorated with dead bodies of these creatures organized to make a painting. We were quite surprised and disgusted at the same time. And you might be saying, those may have been dead before they put them in the frame! But no, these butterflies were in quite good conditions considering they were dead. So there is a good chance these butterflies were killed purposefully just to be displayed here. I mean, dozens of butterflies were killed and sacrificed just for a picture of a ladybug. Absolutely Revolting. So that's one example of animal cruelty. But wait, there's more!
Now, the actual gardens. The most concerning part of this review are the actual gardens. Now, this includes my opinion and other's. First of all, before entering the 3 giant domes, staff greet you and remind you not to pull or grab on the Butterflies' wings which I appreciate. But here's where things start to get a bit concerning. Inside of the domes, staff walk around to check on visitors, but there have been multiple cases of kids, children and even adults, grabbing the butterflies just for them to sit on them. The staff are meant to protect the butterflies, not walk around and stare! In some cases the butterflies were severely injured and harmed. A visitor said that one of the butterflies she had held wasn't flying, because it was missing 1/4 of it's wings and 3 out of 6 legs! In the third dome they tell you the butterflies will land on you because they are tired and lazy, but to me that seems like a good excuse to say, the butterflies are badly hurt and can't take-off.
Out of all of the things I have ever seen in Dubai, this is probably the worst. 99% Do not visit.
