Our booking was via Holiday Extras UK for airport to hotel (and return) transfers in Abu Dhabi and both elements were dreadful. We landed at Abu Dhabi at 5am so it was about 6:20am and we were very tired when we emerged from baggage collection etc. in to the arrivals hall where we were told our driver would be waiting for us. There was no sign of him. We went outside the terminal building and looked for him, still no sign so we tried phoning the emergency number provided by Holiday Extras to find out it is a dead mobile number. Fortunately a driver from another company offered to help us and eventually our driver was located outside the PCR testing centre some 200 - 300m away from where he should have been. The transfer from the hotel back to the airport was even worse. Our flight was scheduled for 0700 so Holiday Extras paperwork said we had to be at the airport for 0400 and, with a 40 minute journey time, the pick up would be 0320 so already there was no contingency for things going wrong. As requested by Holiday Extras we were in hotel reception ready for our transfer at 0305. At 0328 there was no sign of our transfer so the hotel concierge contacted the company to be told the driver was "on the way". Fortunately, the concierge had the foresight to insist on being provided the contact number for the driver. When the concierge phoned the driver he was told "I'm in bed and I'm not doing a pick up at this time of morning" !! By the time the transfer company had wasted more time trying to arrange an alternative, we had 10 minutes left to do a 40 minute journey when they finally relented and agreed to pay for a taxi for us. Turns out the taxi was a lot cheaper than the Holiday Extras transfer so in future we will use local taxis : cheaper and far more reliable.

Excellent Mercedes minibus with cosy seat, two of which have massage! And plenty of room for the laggage.
