Khan our falconer was just amazing!! He was so informative even on the way to our falconry experience We didn’t expect to stop at the Camel race track on the way out to the desert and seeing the camels train and do laps of the track It was fantastic! We learnt so much about the racing Was so interesting Brilliant! Of course that was just the start of of tour… The falconry was so very special The falcons and eagle were were so well looked after and I felt very humbled to have them land on my arm Absolutely incredible!!! Was emotional to see these beautiful birds flying and so close Patting them was such a thrill This is a must do in Dubai and one of the best experiences on my holiday Thank you Khan 💕

This was an amazing tour. Truly memorable. Khan picked us up early and on time. We visited the camel race track and then entered the reserve where we drove the sandy tracks and spotted local wildlife (oryx, antelope). We then had some Arabic coffee and met the birds. We were able to touch and feed the birds before they put on an amazing hunting and aerial display. Khan was an awesome photo and videographer and captured us smiling ear to ear as we observed and had great fly bys from the birds. Then we enjoyed an amazing breakfast buffet as a family. Highly, highly recommend.

Our pick was early, always a good start. Great transport and friendly guide, Khan, who stopped off first at the camel racing circuit. We have never seen so many camels in one place, all waiting for their early exercise. A quick view of the track, start and finish line and then off to the hawks. There were only four in our group and we got to experience 6 different birds, peregrine, Harris hawk, eagle and owls. We got to have them on the glove and they flew to us to eat. A really up close and personal experience, Khan was excellent throughout supported by Mubarak. Thank you for the experience.

What an amazing experience like no other. Not only to see the birds (who were of course, the stars of the show!) But also to see, experience and learn so many other things n addition to this. The early start was so worth it and lovely to start out before sunrise and still feel the cool of the desert before the sun comes up. Mohammed (or “Hammy”) our guide was amazing. A lovely, polite, friendly and very knowledgable man with a great sense of humour, whose enthusiasm for falconry was infectious. He stopped for us to see the (very calm and quiet) camels while they were getting ready to race, then we listened to a very beautiful and enigmatic call to prayer. The Mosque was very close to the track and we stopped whilst he went (briefly) into the mosque to pray. It was fantastic to see another religion and culture and how their practice works in day to day living. We saw oryx, gazelles and a plethora of hot air balloons 😀 along the way to a lovely little desert oasis where the birds of prey were waiting. It was very cold (take a jacket) and walking with the freezing cold sand running through our open toe shoes definitely woke us up ! Then lovely Arabic coffee and dates sitting on Killeems/Arabic rug was wonderful. The two other men who were helping were also lovely and it was very moving to see how much they all loved and respected the birds. When we got to feed, handle and fly these beautiful creatures Mohammed (plus colleagues) explained very calmly and clearly exactly what we needed to do. We learnt so much information about each of the birds (two different types of owl, a geo falcon, harris hawk and desert eagle) and how they differ in habits, learning and “personality”. We got plenty of time to handle them and also to do some very clever tricks, such as flying through our arms outstretch above our heads. The whole experience was the best thing we did whilst in Dubai. There are many fantastic experiences you can have here, but to us, The Burj Kalifha, Dubai Mall and all the other things pale into comparison with this excursion. And a really big thank you to Mohammed. You are “simply the best” .

This was a phenomenal excursions tied to the heart of the Emirates. Out of all the activities I had done in Dubai and Abu Dhabi (about 25-various activities), this falconry experience is the only one I would do again. I am already planning my second time with this specific travel group. Amin, our guide and pick-up driver, was beyond professional and informative. He sought out to make sure we had a remarkable and memorable experience. I would request him specifically. What also makes this unique is the location: Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. Breath-taking sunset with a view on the Omani mountains allowed us to take magazine tier photographs. The falconry experience was beyond unique and intimate. We had the opportunity to learn about all the various birds of prey and got very up close and personal. As stated already, I am already willing to go back again for a second time due to the intimacy and memorable experiences with Amin and the birds of prey.

We stayed one week in Dubai and this was the best part of our trip. With Amin and Muhammad we had the best tour guides and falconry pros you can get. So many informations. So friendly. And being so near to these wonderful birds was outstanding. We took a lot of wonderful memories and pictures with us and will never forget this morning in the desert.

This falcon experience was one of the highlights of our time in Dubai. Highly recommend adding the breakfast.

What amazing experiences this was. Our Falcon trainer Khan was amazing. He’s very knowledgeable and gentle with birds, patient with us. A great support we had in this training from Khan’s friend name Rahim, he teached us how to feed eagle and falcons. He served us hot and cold beverages, sweets and he was very friendly. I am considering to take again this program, this time I’m going to bring my teenage son with me. I want to add also breakfast I had at Al Maha resort near traning location was the best. We had it all, from poached eggs and fruit salat, fresh juice it was the best breakfast. Thank you Mr. Khan I we will be back next year! Best

We had booked a privat tour and it turned out to be the best thing to do. We were picked up at our Hotel Bab Al shams in Dubai from our very sweet and so informative Guide Khan. A big special thank goes out to Khan, for making this day so special and unforgettable for us. Our tour started at 4.30 in the morning. Khan was already waiting for us in the Lobby. Our Car was an SUV, nice and cool with very comfortable seats. We drove about 1 our into the desert passing a camel race track, where we could see the camels Bering trained as the sun was about to raise. Khan was very informative and told us so many interesting things about the Camel Sport. When we came deeper into the desert Khan stopped at a magical spot where we could see the sunrise. It was absolutely magical. Khan took some awesome pictures of me and my husband with the sunrise in the background with our own camera. Really breathtaking. When we arrived at our goal in the desert, 5 birds where waiting for us. Some birds of prey, an eagle and two Owls. We where offered water, Arabian Coffe and fresh Dates. All arranged on an oriental Carpet. So magical.. Khan told us everything about the birds and showed us how he trained the birds. Then it was our turn and we experienced how the Birds where landing from far away on our hands, flying through our arms and over our heads, as we folded our arms to a circle over our heads . Absolutely breathtaking to experience a big eagle fly through our arms and land completely smoothly on our hands. I also really loved the small white Owl. Every bird was so amazing. Khan took the most awesome pictures and videos of us with our own camera. He filmed the flying of the birds through our arms in slow motion, absolute breathtaking and so impressive. After approximately 1, 5 hour with the birds , Khan drove us back to our hotel and again told us everything about the birds and the culture hier in the Emirates.. I can really recommend this privat tour to everyone who is looking for a private tour. A lifetime experience ..

We had an amazing experience! Professional falconer Khan and his associate Rahim really provided us with memories to last a lifetime. First and quite unexpectantly before day break he took us to see camels resting before exercising for a camel race. We got to see and hold the robot jockey, learn about the racing, and actually see them “up close and personal” as they ran the track. He then took us to the desert where after sunrise, we learned about the falcons and owls, got to hold the lure and food, and experience with awe and wonder the agility and speed of these birds. Additionally, Khan and his friend Rahim took a multitude of photos and videos with our iPhones. At first we were apprehensive, but after seeing the excellent-quality images reminding us of our falconry safari, we were grateful. This is not an inexpensive activity, but to us it was worth every AED. There are a number of tour companies that provide a falcon experience. We can't speak to the others, but Royal Shaheen was excellent and super easy to communicate with whether about content, scheduling, or payment.

My husband and I did the Falcon Safari in October 2022 and it was outstanding. We were picked up at 5.00 am by our Driver/Guide and driven out to the Desert stopping at the Camel Racetrack to see the Camel Trainers waiting with their camels to do their track work (thousands of camels!) before watching the sunrise over the sand dunes. We then had a marvellous experience with 5 birds - an Eagle, a Falcon, a Hawk and two gorgeous owls. We were given information on how the birds are looked after, trained and had the most incredible experience of handling the birds. The birds were treated with a great deal of respect and care and the genuine love of our guide (Khan and his assistance) were clearly demonstrated. This is not the cheapest activity you can do in Dubai but was worth the money to get a feel of Arabian culture and history and to see these magnificent animals. Highly, highly recommended.
