My husband & I booked with Golden Trip Desert Safari Tours just a day before our actual excursion & luckily they had availability. Amir was our tour guide/operator. The company is true to their word in what they offer. We were picked up & dropped off at our hotel which was 1hr away from the festivities. Upon booking we received confirmation of payment as well as pickup time. Amir was a smidge late by about 15min due to having tire air pressure issues but he did communicate with us along the way & even took pictures of his location to ensure us he was enroute. Upon arrival Amir was very apologetic for the minor late arrival which we appreciated. Vehicle was a 4x4 with AC pumping 😆 and roomy enough for us all as there were three other passengers already with him. We were provided w/all services we booked & even offered some extra's. Alot of activities included for the price (i.e r/t transpo, dune bashing, sand (skate) boarding, camel ride, BBQ dinner including soft drinks water & show. Show had 4 parts (belly dance, fire act, tanura dancers) you can do additional activities for extra cost like quads, henna tattoo, hookah if not already included in your package. Great experience from start to finish. Also rest room breaks & opportunity to rinse off in between stops w/souvenir shopping. Amir was respectable pleasant & was not pushy. He explained everything along the way. He also was our personal photographer (lots of memorable photos). On next visit we will request him.

The attention from the start was very good. Maintaining a good schedule organization. My guide was aware of taking pictures of me in good places without asking for it. Some things are extra, so keep that in mind. I will recommend my friends.

I tried to book some excursions from the UK. There problem was when booking that as our hotel was out of town the tour operators were insisting that we went to a meeting somewhere in the City. Two women travelling alone, given a hotel name but not actually where to meet is not good. So I cancelled everything thinking I would book on arrival and that the hotel might be able to sort something out. Golden Trip Travel came back to me to query why I had cancelled my booking and I explained that the problem was with the booking system, that my hotel wasn't listed, etc. Don't worry about that they said follow the link to a different booking system. They also said won't be a problem to collect you and drop you back to your hotel, which was some 25 km outside of the City. We booked our trip. I then said actually I also want to book this trip, do you offer it? Yes, they said. They sent the link we booked and they confirmed pick up and drop off again. I will return to Dubai and I will be using this company again. The two trips we booked were great. They kept in touch with us by phone. The cars were immaculate and the drivers were excellent. Highly recommend this company. Thank you. You helped to make our trip to Dubai perfect.

My daughter and I absolutely loved this trip. We were collected at just after 6.30 am from our hotel. Very nice driver and car. We were taken to a meeting place where we boarded our coach that then took us up to the port. To transfer into Oman to catch the dhow all we had to do was raise our passports and we crossed the border. To board our dhow we had to transfer across several other dhows which was quite an experience. The various crews helped us dhow cross to get to our particular dhow. I should also mention a very kind Russian lady who help me down quite a drop between the quay and the first dhow. I think that she helped a number of people. Anyway, once we selected our loungers on the top deck we settled in for a very nice cruise up the coast. The crew offered sea sickness tablets which a number of people took advantage of, me included. All the announcements were made in Russian and English. Later in the day we found two American gentleman and between us we realised that we were the token non-Russians. We don't know how we ended up on the "Russian tour" as one of the American gentleman put but we had a nice time anyway and didn't feel out of place at all. Once we set off, refreshments were available. Hot and cold drinks, fruit and biscuits. Nice and light. We then stopped for swimming and lunch, with waterborne activities. The food was excellent. I really enjoyed it and there was plenty of it which was nice. The caterer hadn't stinted on the food at all. We swam, went kayaking, some people went on the banana ride (choice of two - children and extreme). We then went to a beach and had a good 30 minutes there before transferring back to the dhow. Another leisurely cruise down the coast back to port. We picked up our coach at the quay for the drive back. A quick transfer to a 4x4 and we were then driven down to our hotel. We were shattered but would definitely do this trip again. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. Plenty to see and do. Lots to eat and drink. We recommend this trip. PS: To the two American gentleman. If you are reading this, we didn't have time to say goodbye and wish you both luck in your next endeavour.

Firstly, I must say that this tour company had no objection to collecting us from our hotel which was not in the City. We were collected by a very nice young man who was very caring and attentive throughout out excursion. Wow! Wow! Wow! Our excursion was brilliant. We opted to try out the dune buggies. I hadn't driven one before but fortunately it was automatic. Quite the experience I must say. We were then transferred to an air conditioned 4x4 with a professional driver taking us out. Never experienced anything like it before, but very glad that I did it! After the dune bashing we went up to the camp with live show. The food was great and I really enjoyed the entertainment - folk dance, belly dancing and fire eating. We then went for a quick ride on a camel which was good fun. The camels were very sweet with one of them resting his had on my leg so that I could stroke his head. We returned to our hotel tired, sandy and very happy. I just loved the whole experience and have no hesitate in recommending this excursion and company. Thank you.

Going on a desert safari in Dubai was definitely the highlight of my trip. My driver, Amir, picked me up from my hotel around 4:00 PM. From there, we headed to a camp near the dunes. At the camp, you have the option to do additional activities like quad biking or 4x4 rides, which are not included in the tour package. A single quad ride costs around 600 dinars, but my friend and I decided to share one for the same price. The quad ride was supposed to last about 40 minutes, but it felt a bit shorter, around 30 minutes including stops for photos. At one of the photo spots, there was a man with a falcon; you can get photos with it for an extra fee, starting at 40 dinars, so it’s a good idea to negotiate. After the quad biking, we had a 25-minute break. There are souvenir shops and snack bars nearby, but they are quite pricey, so bargaining is advised. Next, Amir drove us for a thrilling ride through the desert, including some dune bashing and sandboarding. The final stop was the campsite, where we enjoyed performances and a buffet dinner. You can also take a short camel ride, which is included in the tour. The camel ride is brief, just a few minutes around a small circle, but it’s fun and you can take photos and pet the camel. The campsite also offers free small henna designs. If you want something more elaborate, you’ll need to pay ( around 50 dinars). The henna artist was very pleasant and I enjoyed chatting with her. There was no free shisha. Overall, while some aspects felt like a typical tourist experience with added costs, I had a fantastic time. It’s all about embracing the tourist experience and being prepared for some extra expenses to make the most of it.

Very unusual experience, get prepared for a rocky ride. The guide Islam was really helpful and supportive, the crew was attentive. Nice food. Many activities to try and stories to hear. Go for it if you have a chance.

At first we was sceptical at how safe it would be crossing the border to Oman but we neednt have worried. You will not find another trip, value for money, food ,water sports, fishing, lovely friendly and caring crew who took such care of us with a hotel pick up and drop off included. We where taken out on a speed boat and banana boat at no extra charge. We went to a little beach where we where met by two friendly street dogs, so if your an animal lover like me take fresh cartoon of water from boat and some treats for the dogs. We saw a turtle whilst on the boat which we wasn't expecting and during fishing we saw a sting ray close up and it was a fun atmosphere when people caught fish. Nothing is rushed and we thoroughly enjoyed our day. I would recommend this trip for anyone, it's a long day but well worth the drive. Travel sickness tablets provided which is a bonus.

I was the first person picked up, so I was on the bus 3.5 hours before we got to the boat dock in Oman. Luckily, there was a toilet stop each way. The boat trip was fun and being in the water was a lot cooler than the temps in town. The snorkeling was just meh, but it is cool to say I’ve been snorkeling in Oman! There were kayaks, ample swimming time, an opportunity to fish if you wanted, an optional boat ride to a nearby beach (nothing there and no shade, so I didn’t stay long), and a banana boat ride! Snacks were provided on board and the lunch buffet was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. If you like being on the water and water sports, you’ll enjoy this trip!

This was a nice relaxing tour. If you like being on the water and water activities, this is definitely the tour for you. It was a nice way to get to Oman although, you don’t really see much of the country besides the ocean, it was still really nice. The food was quite tasty as well.

The desert safari was amazing, great views from top of the dune and sunset experience was great. Our driver Amir did excellent job overall on the trip including great safari ride in the dunes.
