- sabinakT3066TZ00Amazing Experience! We had our tour with Abbas’s Desert Tour Safari and it was a great experience! Our tour guide was very nice and friendly and took care of everyone’s needs. This tour was definitely one of my highlights in Dubai. Highly, highly recommend this tour!
- e_jess300Such a fun experience! This was SUCH a fun tour! The tour guides were both so kind and we loved that we could get picked up directly from our hotel. Overall, it was such a fun experience and I highly recommend! P.S. - I would advise bringing some extra cash to tip the miscellaneous people throughout the activity!
- winsomem50500Average ExperienceIt was an average experience. The pickup was very late. The driver drove crazy. I was seated next to pot of hot soup
- Sightsee79726900Dubai off the bucket list. The trip was awesome. We hit all of the must see. Wish the safari camel 🐪 ride was longer. Be sure to be fully covered when going to the Grand Mosque. May go back in about 10 years to see all of the new construction 🏗️
- soulman7300Good cruise but poor driverThe tour company sent another driver then the original one. When he turned up he was extremely rude with no customer skills. He thursted the phone in my face.I tried to explained, he just walked away muttering insults in his own language which I understood. The drive to cruise was terrifying and sickening. The BO from the driver was stomach turning..He thought he was a F1 driver in his 1000cc van.Extremely dangerous with due no due care for anyone. The cruise was lovely .Good choices of food and lively entertainment .Go with another company .Avoid this one.
- 637rosej00Great experienceDo it, great experience. Good not 5 stars but you won't regret doing it either. Hated the long walk to the vessel. There were a few trollies doe small fee but that should be included. Meats selection was very limited and scanti but overall it's an experience worth doing.
- Sherpa6241837809300Huge adrenaline kickHuge adrenaline kick! Pick up was on time, eaven earlier. Gids was very kind. We had unforgetable time during morning desert safari. I would recomend everyone who likes sports and afrenaline kick to try!
- Aiden W00The best way to experience the desert 👌Such an amazing experience. Definitely worth paying for the bigger quad and going out on the open desert and the power of the blue buggy for 2 people 🤯 👌 100% would recommend.
- Steve P00The skyline makes the tour.Glad we went, might not again. The staff was nice but the other passengers were greedy animals at the buffet. Our table was fed last, as they brought us up by table. By the time our table got to the buffet the other passengers were on their 2nd or 3rd feeding and there were no more plates or bowls left. Most of the food was gone and what was left was cold. When fresh plates were brought in people actually pushed us out of the way to get their 3rd plate, before we could get our first. The actual ride in the canal was breathtaking and the city's architecture is amazing. If not for that, I would say this experience would have been a huge flop!
- sandranX8331EU00Wonderful way to forget your routine and relax on a traditional boat!It was a wonderful excursion! The drive was long but we appreciate the distance from Dubai to wonderful Oman. We were very well taken care of throughout the day, from the Russian and English speaking guide to the crew on the boat, who were attentive and so helpful. The equipment was well maintained, in sufficient quantity and safe and we felt that the day was a great success, giving us wonderful memories to take back to our cold countries! Another bonus, let's not forget, was that we had a lovely meal and healthy snacks all day, which was much appreciated after such active pastimes snorkeling, banana-boating and fishing! Do not miss!
- kevinsV4877RL00Great Price!Worst every penny! Camel ride was only a couple of minutes long. That was okay with me because I just wanted to experience my first ride on a camel and take pictures of this experience.
- Suzy127700ExhilaratingLovely way to see some of the iconic sights of Dubai. Cooling breeze when going at speed. Helpful guide (forgot his name)
- leannedL4826OH00Wonderful tripAmazing trip thank you to our fantastic guide Nawaz. Well worth doing this trip. Well organised group no fuss and very helpful
- nicolef13200Nice nocturnal introduction to Dubai for first time visitors. The city views, the food, the staff and entertainment were good. The guests were a little dry and stand offish. People were with their families and not interested in meeting new people .
- 282bettya00Beautiful dessert safariWe had an amazing time. If you ever come to Dubai you must try this safari tour. Our guide Naveed was generous and thoughtful. Definitely recommend you try this tour with Naveed.

I don’t ever write reviews but I feel compelled to do so after this experience. I’ll start at the beginning. Our driver picked us up 2 hours late and didn’t even introduce himself or say one word to us. He then proceeded to yell at someone on the phone for about 30 minutes while we went out to the dunes and never once told us what we were going to be doing or discuss anything about the trip or local culture. Next we got to the dunes. I had assumed that since the quad bikes were optional there would be other activities for the people that didn’t opt-in to use them. There were not. We had to just sit around and watch the people that were using the quads. To make matters worse the only seating were broken down plastic chairs that snapped as soon as my friend sat down (he’s 140 lbs). After this we took the suv to the outer dunes which was actually pretty cool. Our guide stopped and gave us absolutely no direction. We soon figured out that this was the spot to do the sand boarding. We did this for about 5 minutes before the “guide” started beeping (didn’t even get out the car to talk to us). At this point only half the group had gone and I had to run and talk to one of the other guides to give us the board so my friend could go. Also the falcon was out in this area but you could only take pictures with it if you paid extra (total rip off). Next we went to the area for the camel rides and dinner. Once again our guide gave us no direction at all and we were totally lost as to what to do. We found out that there was a “free camel ride” which was included in our package. Meanwhile the “good” camel ride costs extra and is not included (of course). Our camel ride lasted for approximately 2 minutes where we walked in a circle. Compared to other places we have done this, this was by far the worst camel ride we had and the staff really just made you feel like you were a number and they didn’t care at all. Next was the show. There were about 500 other people all crowded in this little fenced off area outside. As soon as they put food out everyone went crazy and rushed for the food. The food was supposed to be BBQ but ended up being mostly vegetarian Indian food and at the end they gave you two small pieces of “bbq” chicken about the size of a quarter. The show after that was pretty good but our guide tried to make us leave before it even finished. Overall this was one of the worst, most poorly run trips I’ve ever taken. The staff was not friendly and the activities were rushed and not at all geared toward having an enjoyable or unique experience. This is the only trip Ive ever been on where I wanted my money back at the end.

While I understand your point, there are instances that I do not agree with.
Camp capacity is barely 300 to 350 - on busy days . During june and july its barely half full.
If the driver was indeed 2 hours late you would have miised your dune bashing and sand boarding and head straight to the camp.
Nonetheless, thanks for your feedback.

A one of a kind experience! I experienced a desert tour with the guide Naveed with my wife and 3 year old child, among the sand dunes, sliding on the sandboard, fantastic photos at sunset and finally relaxing with dinner included in the camp and camel ride. The guide was always thoughtful, kind and patient and exuded maximum trust.

My whole family enjoyed a lot in desert safari but at evening dinner was a bit late. We had to wait in que but it's acceptable for tourist spots like these . The entertainment show was amazing. The belly dancer was very beautiful and the fireshow was incredible. Highly recommended.

Where to begin. On a positive note, the dune bashing was great- no major complaints. But from start to finish , our alleged “guide” was probably the worst “ guide” in the entire world. At best he was arrogant , unhelpful and a death driver, at worst he was just plain rude. He hardly spoke the entire time giving us practically no information on what was happening. He chatted to an Arabic family in our car and ignored us. At the first stop, after 45 mins of silence in the car , we stopped, got out and were ignored . Our fellow travellers told us we could hire vehicles at this stop. Our driver ( not a guide) said to be back at the vehicle at 4.10. After an hour in a filthy, depressing hole with toilets normally seen in a war zone, we returned to the vehicle only to wait another 30 mins for the driver to finally return. Eventually we arrived at the evening location. The queue for the 30 second camel ride meant if you waited, you would still be there by midnight. Queues for traditional dress and henna painting meant if you waited in line you would miss your meal. We opted for the “VIP” package only so we didn’t have to sit on the floor and queue with hundreds and hundreds of others for our dreadful food. The entertainment was a joke. Authentic, Arabian ???. No - it was more a pole dancer, a whirling dervish and a fire eater. It was a depressing, mass market, cattle tourist experience. Probably the worst thing as a widely travelled traveller I have ever done . How we got there and back without a high speed accident is beyond me. Breaking all speed limits, texting and making phone calls , driving at 80 mph 3 feet from the car in front, heavy braking, teeth juddering speed over traffic calming measures it was more white knuckle than the dune bashing . A dreadful dreadful experience especially compared to all the other professional arranged and organised things we have done in Dubai. Whether you book via trip advisor or anyone else, spend your money elsewhere . Awful.

You want to do this trip to see the desert and have fun doing a wild car ride in the sand. The added evening in the camp with a meal, various dancers, and other things sounds good but turned out to be cheesy. What is absolute unnecessary are the stops on the way at some "supermarkets".

Hi Theworldisus,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. The stops made are not for the "supermarkets" alone. Here are some points why the stop is an absolute MUST.
1. The "Meeting Point" stops. This the the place where the tires will be depleted, meaning, to reduce the air to give the best drive in the sand in dunes. Not to mention safer, of course.
2. Washroom / Toilet breaks. With approximately 45 minutes drive from Dubai City to the Desert, most people requires to empty their bladder before going to the rollercoaster drive.
3. As the word meeting point emplies, this is where the convoy meets. More often than not, Safari guides drive through the desert wth the convoy. So, they wait and meet each other at the first stop.
4. The supermarkets or the sellers are normal. You can find it in every tourist spot. It's the tourist's choice if he wants to buy things or not but it tour review shouldn't be base on that.
5. Other stops in the middle of the desert are equally important because you can't do the other activities without stopping.
Regards,

It was Amazing Half-Day Safari Tour to UAE Deserts. We started in the afternoon at around 3 PM. From Dubai City area, it is about an hour long drive to desert area. the group of 5 to 6 special Jeeps stops at the end of Tar Road - before we enter the Sand area. they deflate the tires to half so that it becomes suitable for Sand Ride. Now you are asked to hold the handle bars tight and Seat Belt is Must as the vehicle enters the Sand Dunes. As the specially trained driver speed up the vehicle, there is Sand waves all around - Outside your vehicle. many times you cannot see in front. It is Just Sand and Sand and Sand everywhere.
Then after about 45 Min ride in the Sand Dunes, we reached a dessert Hotel for the evening snacks, Sheesha and belly dance party. Dinner is served in the same place and then you return back after 8:30 PM.

The ride in the dessert was just great - just a bit scaring in the good way! Very competent driver. The dinner was planned to give us the beautiful view of the sunset - but the time table didn't give us much time to eat - we had to leave before dessert.

Easy to book but just after we realised it was Eid so asked whether the entertainment was still on, we were told yes it was, so we continued with the booking.
Our driver collected us on time and was a nice guy, English not great but much better than my Arabic! After some drive we reach a staging post where we stayed for about 30minutes, really pestered by guys trying to sell rubbish.
We then went on a great ride through the dunes, really fun, in a land cruiser, made even better by our great driver, we all loved it.
We then got to the camp for the entertainment, NO ENTERTAINMENT BECAUSE OF EID! I understand it’s a holiday and totally respect that but we specifically asked whether it was still on and it wasn’t, no discount on price for this and remember you can’t get a beer either as it’s a dry day.
So we would definitely do this again, you can’t miss the dune fun but check your dates and do not listen to what they are telling you unfortunately

Hi Paulcol48,
Thank you for the feedback. Few months back during Ramadan, we do have the entertainment ( Fire-show and Tanura Dance ) except for the Belly Dancer so we assume that there would be entertainment on that day. I apologize if this made you disappointed. I for one was surprised when I read your feedback and found out they did not allow the 2 entertainment to be shown. They kept changing policies tho. Next time we will be more careful and get the latest update.
I look forward to welcoming you back again.

You can pay with paypal too. There are some options calling to the agency, certainly they will accept local money and you will give the money to the tour guide.
