After an afternoon pickup at your Dubai hotel, head into the desert wilds in a comfortable, air-conditioned 4WD vehicle. Take in the empty sands and go off-road for a roller-coaster ride around the high dunes. Hold tight as your driver takes you over the slopes, pausing at the top before slipping back down the shifting sands. Stop at the highest dune to view the sunset before continuing to a Bedouin-style campsite. Hop out here for an afternoon and evening of desert activities and entertainments. Go sandboarding, ride a camel, get a henna tattoo, don Arabian robes for a souvenir photo, and try an optional puff on a shisha (Arabic water pipe). Stay refreshed with sodas, water, tea, and coffee; and later, feast on a barbecue buffet dinner. As you relax, enjoy belly dancing and tanoura (whirling dervish) shows under the stars before a convenient return transfer to your hotel.

It was one of the best days of our family's life..., everyone found something fun to do. The desert safari with Land Cruisers driven by "Waseem" was great, exciting driving through the dunes but we felt completely safe. We also asked for the buggy program, it was also very enjoyable for everyone with a four person sand buggy. Sunset, camel rides, quad biking for the kids, henna painting, falconry demonstration and dinner with a dance show was amazing! Waseem is lovely and anything you could ask him, he had the answer! We had a great time, my 10 year old son said it was the best day of his life so far! Thank you and we recommend this Desert Gate program to everyone

Ayaz Khan our Guide/driver/creator of amazing moments made our day & my son’s 11th bday so special!! We drove buggies through the sand dunes, rode camels, spun around the sand in the jeep under with the very capable hands of Ayaz’s driving. We danced around our dinner table while watching the belly dancer & we enjoyed a feast while the entire camp sung my son happy birthday. Even the ride back to the hotel was filled with laughter and song as we danced (in our seatbelts) in the back of the Jeep singing loudly, Ayaz just smiled and laughed along with us. Thank you for such a wonderful experience Ayaz & Desert Gate 🙏

** We also booked VIP Burg Kalifa experience & a private swim & explore with a dolphin with Desert Gate. All experiences have been flawless 👍

Great fun and experience at Desert safari

Dilen from Taj Exotica travel desk helped us with tickets and tour recommendations for desert safari and sand buggy and also other attractions in Dubai like Burj Khalifa. She was very humble , polite and forth coming to recommend us what will work for a family with 2 young children. Excellent service and I highly recommend to use her for stay in Dubai.

Food at the desert camp was really nice with lots of vegetarian options also. Neat and clean set up and comfortable environment

On June 10, we visited this excursion, chose the VIP package, the price is not much higher than the usual package, but you will definitely get more comfort and attention! Better to pay extra and enjoy. I was in this desert in 2012 on a regular package, so this time we decided to take it better. And they did not regret it! We stayed at the Atlantis hotel, our personal guide and driver Hatim came for us! He is very very attentive, he told everything, showed. When we arrived at the village itself, he explained everything to us, approached, asked if he liked everything. Placed us in a vip booth. The waiters brought food all the time! There was a lot of it! Starting from salads and appetizers, ending with meat and desserts! A girl came up and applied a drawing with henna. Then they brought a hookah! And all this is included in the VIP package. But there is a bar card, you pay for it separately, if you order alcohol, you pay there. Payment by card is slightly higher. If in cash, then the price is the same as indicated on the menu. And what is important for girls, Hatim constantly takes pictures and films. Himself proposes and shoots with your camera or phone! Thanks to him, we have sooooo many photos and videos! This is so precious! Plus, I can't help but note, he has incredibly fantastic blue eyes! A very pleasant and courteous man who presents himself with dignity! I highly recommend this excursion! A regular package cost AMD 1,500, and vip 2,000.

I 100% recommend this experience. My wife & I booked spontaneously at last minute. We were collected from the hotel perfectly on time. Our guide (Anil) was brilliant, very professional with the right balance of humour, local information & fun (his offroad driving ability is very good also).

The "Dune bashing" was brilliant, more than long enough to appease the thrill seekers.

After this we were taken to one of the desert camps. First we had the options to ride camels & watch a falcon show.

The falcon show was very interesting and a good insight into how they train the birds.

The last part of the evening was the cherry on top. Inside the camp we were dined on traditional cuisine (which was all fresh from source). We had live entertainment on centre stage (which I was dragged up to participate). There is a shisha pipe area for those who wish to experience it. A fully stocked bar for soft & hard drinks.

The evening in this camp really give a good atmosphere and a strong sense of being in Dubai.

As I said above, I can't recommend this enough, and I would recommend our personal guide Anil to make the experience that much better.

Worth every penny.

Fun dessert experience

I went with my 6,10 and 12 year old and it is not common for all of them to come out of an experience happy! Our driver Muqtadir picked us up on time, the car was clean and comfortable and he kept the “are we there yet” at bay by telling us how long each stretch of car ride is. We did buggy drive for an extra which was fun but really quite hot. Sand dune bashing was fun for the kids and they also enjoyed the camel ride, henna tattoo and bbq dinner. Excellent experience.

We had the absolute best day ever with our superb guide, Samad. The experience was spectacular, everything was organised to perfection. From the moment we started the safari, the driving, the camel ride, falcon show, oud player, fire show, belly dancer and of course the bbq and amazing set-up was first class. We would highly recommend this tour as it was full of awesome experiences with the friendliest people. Thankyou very much Samad and team!!!!!

Amazing afternoon in the desert of Dubai! Best experience in Dubai so far! Dune riding with car, sandboard and camel riding plus falcon show finished with a delicious dinner in the dessert camp. Was really like in paradise, my son would like to live there forever…
Our guide Yasar Ahmed was like a desert god, knowing everything and so kind and trustworthy, my son thought he is the Sheikh and he is the new idol for him now as he treat him in such a gentle fatherly way, for sure he has kids as well as he simply knows how to make them happy. We wish this day would never end, it was like paradise on earth.
Can really really recommend this experience, wish we can come back again one day. Thank you dear Yaser for making us feel so special and show us the beauty of the desert and all the adventures!

Private Desert Jeep Safari with BBQ Dinner & Show
This tour was one of the highlights of our vacation. We had 7 people in our group traveling in two Toyota Land Cruisers. Our first stop was optional and required an additional fee to ride atvs in the dessert. Next, we headed to the camp and went dune bashing on the way and watched the sunset. Once at the camp, optional activities before our show and bbq dinner included camel back riding, dune sledding, and henna for the ladies. The show consisted of three different types of traditional dances. The meal was served as a buffet of local Emirati dishes and was excellent!

The only reason I gave this 3 stars instead of 5 was because our guide picked us up 45 minutes late from our hotel because the couple he picked up before us was late getting ready at their hotel. They never updated us and we had trouble finding out what the delay was. In my opinion they should have a no show time limit and cancellation policy for guests that are late for their pick up time as it’s unfair to the other guests when you choose a group safari. This is especially important for the afternoon safari when you are racing to make it to the desert in time for the sunset. As a result, we missed the caravan and did not get as much time dune bashing as we would have liked. Regardless, it was still our favorite activity of the whole trip and they gave us a complimentary glass of wine with apologies. The driver did a great job dune bashing and while we missed the peregrine falcon show we did have time for a quick camel back ride and sand surfing before the buffet opened up and the show started. The camp was very well put together with an authentic Arabian feel; free henna tattoos, shisha, and delicious buffet! The belly dancer wasn’t the most talented but the show was entertaining as you sat beneath the stars on traditional cushions and a large woven rug.
