        Great experience
A great experience with lots to see and do. Mr. Pingphong, the guide, was a main highlight worth mentioning - with his sense of humour, knowledge and support. The trip involves quite a lot of travel in a mountainous terrain and my daughter was car sick a few times. Mr. Phong took her to the front of the minibus and helped her with patience and care. Kop chai der, Mr. Phong!

        Excellent tour a must do
Excellent tour. Our tour tour guide was amazing and very helpful. Gave us 100 percent the whole trip. We even had a bonus by getting time with the elephants after our lunch, which was fantastic, best lunch we've had on a tour to date. Thank you for all your excellent information and care.

        Full Lao tourist attraction package!
I joined the tour with my wife, we really had a good time! The tour guide, Mr.Pingpong explained well about the itinerary and background knowledge, and cared about how we can enjoy. All the activities were full of excitement and insight. The tour was in a good mood throughout the way and we made some friends with other participants to have dinner afterward. It has become an unforgettable day!

This tour covers all the things worth visiting outside of Luang Prabang city
Mr Phong (Mr Pingpong) was our excellent guide today. He made the group feel very organic and we had a really good time together. This tour is perfect if you want to cover a lot of distance and various activities in one day, without the hassle of arranging every detail yourself. We started the day with a quick stop at a Hmong village to learn about local people and traditions, followed by a nice scenic drive to the Si waterfalls, where plenty of time was given to view the different pools and go swimming in some of them. The included lunch buffet was very good, with many options, drinks included. The resident elephant was very friendly! The river cruise is very relaxing, and cold drinking water was provided throughout the tour, so no need to bring any. The hike up to the upper Pak Ou cave was a bit challenging in the heat, and not as interesting as the lower cave, so if you can't go to the upper cave, don't feel bad. The whiskey tasting at the end made the group even more jovial;) Very well-hosted by Mr Phong.

        Great day of fun
I had an amazing experience on this day with my wife. From the waterfalls, to the elephant sanctuary, to cruising the mekong river. We made new friends and had an incredible time with them. Our guide Mr.PingPong was the best. He was kind, funny, and knowledgeable. He made sure our experience was a great one.

Amazing experience! Not to be missed!
Excellent communication throughout. Very educational and fun. Interactive and interesting. Our guide, Sai, and all of his different family members who contributed were so kind and so enthusiastic about rice farming and sharing so much about Laos and its cultural and ethnic groups. The food at the end was plentiful, delicious, and catered perfectly to vegetarian and GF dietary needs. We were a mom and teenage daughter and we both loved the experience! Highly recommend this experience and always wonderful when your money goes to a locally owned and run business.

Superb day with amazing sights -one of the best!
What a fabulous tour so worth it and excellent value. Our tour guide Mr Phong was probably one of the best tour guides we have ever had. He made the tour interesting and had us laughing all the time. Every stop was amazing but the highlight was the sunset cruise on the Mekong. Great tour, excellent tour guide and wonderful group of people!

        Lovely Day Hiking and Sailing!
Overall, this was a great day trip. I wanted to see the Kuang Si Waterfall, overlook, and sail down the Mekong River. I would have been happy skipping the town and whiskey (I don't drink), but it was still fun. I made some great friends with others in my group and had a pleasant conversation with our tour guide, Mr. Pong. Picking up was an issue because they did not give Mr. Pong the correct information when I provided them with the full address and location with the picture. Ultimately, I was picked up, but it was a challenge.

Gorgeous day for all of the tours. Visiting the caves was my favourite part of the day and they were amazing! Highly recommend the whiskey tasting visit. The waterfalls were beautiful, though very busy.

Kayaking and waterfall great, caves and villages not so great
The kayaking and waterfall were both incredible!! Our guide Year was fantastic and made the day very enjoyable. The caves and local villages were tourist traps with people just looking to sell you things but I couldn’t find any other trip options without those included. Only thing that would have made the day better would have been to avoid/spend less time at those stops and more time kayaking and at the waterfall for swimming.

Warm welcome already while picked up at the guesthouse, the trek went so fast as we were listening to the numerous explanations (wildlife, culture, beliefs, etc) of our guide, Vone, following him through typical Lao villages and then deep in the jungle. The guide was coming from a small village, speaking very well English thanks to his experience. This allowed us to have interesting discussions. Definitely recommend this trek, which was well organised and worth the price.

Thanks to our guide Mungkone we had an amazing day trekking to Kuang Si waterfalls. During the trek the told us a lot about Lao culture, language, and the herbs we encountered along the way. After that, we got to swim and relax at the beautiful Kuang Si waterfalls. This trip is definitely recommended if you would like to see more of the surrounding area of Luang Prabang and Kuang Si.

Despite being three days late due to cancelled flights, Mnif graciously rescheduled our two tours at no extra cost.

The 2-day trek with homestay was a wonderful experience with great surroundibgs and an experience of real village life. Our guide Si was truly excellent.

The Mahout Basic Training and Pak Ou Caves was also great with the equally top guide Von.

      Highest marks for Manifa!

The trail was great, and I had wonderful people to trek with.

The major con was the guide. He was 40 minutes late to pick me up. He didn’t seem to know much of the trail, didn’t talk the last half of the trip, and slept on the bus in the way back to the city.
He also made some biased jokes about women and a specific tribe.

We had just one hour at the fall, which was fine with me because I didn’t plan on swimming, but if you want to swim, it’s too short. No mention about where to change clothes. The upper part of the fall was less crowded, and the Lowe part way too crowded, but no mention of that, so I was disappointed to walk down to find out about this.

Overall, the trail was great, but I wouldn’t call this “tour” with that guide.
I see reviews with great guides, so it really depends.

Really enjoyable trek with the guide Year. My friend and I were solo, which I feel worked out awesomely. Year was so friendly, funny, and just personable. I really appreciated how much information he shared and the joy with which he shared information including about his past experiences on treks, his own life, about Thailand, and about the trail/waterfall as well. He was very accommodating and checked in often about how we were doing and any questions/curiosities that we had. Also, it was just cool learning more about him and his multilingual skills (native language, Lao, Thai, English, French)

Such a lovely day. My guide, Year Xiong, arrived early to pick me up. I was his only guest for the day, and his service was incredible. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and able to answer all my questions. I had a great time hearing about his life and experience in Laos. The hike was not difficult and beautiful, bonus was the village and having Year as a photographer every time I asked! Gave good pad thai and a croissant for lunch, with oranges after. He knew the route very well and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend him as a tour guide!

We did the trek to the waterfall with Jack as our guide. He knew a lot about the plants, animals of the jungle and the minority groups we visited which made the walk even more interesting. Took us to a Lovely lunch spot at the magical waterfalls. It was a great day and we learnt a lot too. Thank you Jack and Manifa.

Very nice day trip to local village in the mountain. The view and the atmosphere there were amazing. Special thank you to Vone our guide. Always ready to answer to our question and he taught us a lot about the custom of the tribes that live there. Thank you Vone to share the day with us always with a smile on your face!

Great day out with our guide Vone. Trek was 11km and reasonably challenging. Quite a few areas with little to no track and uphills and down slippery hills. Vote made me a bamboo walking stick that helped. Vone was very knowledgeable about local plants and history. The local village visit was also really interesting.

The online booking states "minimum 2 people" and only let's you book for that. I contacted Manifa directly and they agreed to book me for this trip with the understanding they would move me to different group tour if their was no other participant. In the end I paid for 2 slots and had a private tour. Manifa also was able to rearrange the return trip at the end of the day as we finished 2 hours early. Great service from Manifa Travel.
My guide Kwon (probably the same others referred to as Kwang) was knowledgeable and fun. The village we visited was a real village, not a showcase. During the hike Kwon gave me a lot of information about all local cultures, Lao history, plants, and animals. Fantastic stories were presented as such rather than as reality. Having lived in Myanmar for 10 years, we discussed a lot about similarities, both in culture and landscape.
The trek is not strenuous, but there are some places that require surefootedness. It begins at the village and winds up and down through a couple cultivated valleys before climbing into the jungle and then dropping through the jungle down to a large spring that supposedly feeds the falls. From there you make your way down to a dirt road, which you follow for 5-10 minutes before reaching another jungle trail leading to the head of the falls, where you have lunch before descending to the foot of the falls. After several hours alone in the fields and forests, the humanity at the bottom is a little overwhelming. So, of course, are the falls.
We ended with a walk through the bear sanctuary, but did not visit the butterfly center. I think the overall distance was about 9km.
