Putting the slow in slow boat
This was a special experience to drift down the Mekong River and take in the sights. It was special to see all the kiddos from different villages bathing and playing in the river as we drifted past and see farmers riding their elephants. I would suggest bringing plenty of food, water, and snacks. Also, be prepared to be very hot. If you are a person that is able to relax and enjoy it for what it is, it was lovely. However, I have friends that did the same experience a few days before me and completely hated the experience. I don't think it's for everyone.

Iron man insurance bus ride in hell
I booked this in great faith. We left at 6pm and was told it would take 24/25 hours. Two hours in the bus broke down in the middle of now where ,it took about 45 minutes to fix. The roads with pot holes are bad in the uk but nothing could prepare you for their pot holes, when going over one you sometimes came out of your seat, or sleeping you would be woken banging your head like in a boxing ring. The staff didn't speak any English just shouted and pointed. I am 5 ft 11 and it was tight, someone on there at 6ft 4 had to sleep with his legs hanging put. There was no toilets or charging points by your seat only a couple at the front of the bus. We stopped a few times mainly for the driver and his team to have a fag so was just random no pre planning. No toilet on board like I said so whatever you do don't eat spicy food the day before as you will be in a bit of trouble.when we did stop sometimes no toilets so poor girls had to squat on the side.of the road.stopped at a garage they only had the toilets you squat over so be warned not pleasant at all. Reclining chairs not great and some went so far back I couldn't put my legs out straight from the person in front of me. Made one stop for food in laos only crisps and that sort of thing. My error that I didn't take any dong so when we stopped in vietnam couldn't buy anything, so take some that that there is anything decent to buy, I put one of my shoes on in the bus, the driver then knocked the other out of my hand and shouted, bit stressful I simply forgot. When we got to the boarder I saw the driver giving one of the officials a little back hander of money so not sure what that was about. Along the way we made lots of stops to ether pick up food to be transported, but then locals then started getting on and sitting in the middle of the bus and when you got off they didn't even more out of the way. We had four hours to go and had to change buses. It was two in a bed so if you like sleeping with a stranger you will be in the right place, the locals they had a bed to themselves, funny that. More people got on we had another 4 hours to go. We arrive at 11pm so 29hours. I did it for the experience so you don't have to, it was a shame as I had been on buses before in thailand and they were great, organized stops with nice toilets and food stalls. My advice look it to this but don't be disappointed when an old different bus turns up. My advice if you can fly it will take 1hour 10minutes but if on a budget you will get there and it will be a storey to tell for Along time.

      Absolutely fantastic trip!!!
We booked this day trip through Laos Tour Group in Labang Prabang and it was fantastic! Picked up at 8am then in an aircon minivan went to a local village which was very interesting. Then we went to the Bear sanctuary, waterfalls ( sooooooo beautiful). A long drive, but interesting scenery, ( and lots of cold water from Mr Pong) and we got to the Elephant Sanctuary where you can feed the elephant and then have a beautiful buffet lunch by the river. Then you go on a slow boat up the river to the beautiful Buddha caves and climb the 300 steps, great view of the Mekong. Then we went to a whiskey place for samples of rice whiskey. Mr Pong is so interesting and the whole trip was excellent. We would recommend booking through this travel group 10/10!!!!

      They forgot about us
I was in contact with Tony Phong starting a few weeks prior to our tour (Kayaking to Pak Ou caves, Villages and Kuang Si Falls). The initial process was professional with confirmation of the date, payment, and confirmation of our pickup time. This included multiple email exchanges. The reason for the 1 star was on the day of pickup, after the agreed on pickup time went by, I contacted Tony via WhatsApp inquiring on the delay. I had to remind him that I did book through this company which he appeared to have forgotten. They then called about 15 minutes afterwards saying the tour was cancelled and offered another tour instead. This tour was standard but appeared to be from multiple tours that were cancelled as the poor tour guide was asking everyone what their original itinerary was. Communication was the main factor that was disappointing. When he called, there was also no apology. He only stated that the tour was cancelled. Be aware that this can happen when booking with this company.

      Pretty scary
We thought we were just zip lining but it turned out to be a rope course too which we were not keen to do. One of the instructors smelt like alcohol. There were lots of biting ants on the trees on the platforms so be careful not to touch them! The “brake” for the zip line was a piece of tire you had to grip around the line. No gloves to protect your hands. It all felt unsafe. Part way through we refused to continue and they had to hoist us down with ropes. We were relieved to be back on solid ground.

      Bikerboys Hua Hin - Thailand
Our biker group from Hua Hin Thailand spent several days travelling through Laos in November. During this time, we were looked after by tour guide Sai Jaleunsouk, who did an excellent job. We travelled by train, minivan, boat, motorbikes were rented, etc. Everything was perfectly organised and Khun Sai was always prepared. Even when group members had problems, he was always ready to help and always found a solution. I would like to emphasise his friendliness and his genuine smile. We felt very comfortable in his presence and can highly recommend him as a tour guide and the travel agency.

Exceptional Service for a Memorable Laos Adventure!
Our recent 10-day journey through Laos, organized by this tour company, left an indelible mark on our hearts. As a group of nearly 30 people, including kids aged 3 to 17, we embarked on a trip that exceeded all expectations. Before the trip, the name "Laos" might have seemed low-key to our kids, but thanks to this company's dedication, we now have an abundance of beautiful memories to cherish. From the moment we crossed the border between Laos and Cambodia, we were met with continuous warmth and professionalism. The seamless transition throughout the journey, including an excellent recommendation for a tour guide in Thailand, showcased the company's attention to detail. Although the weather denied us the chance to witness the expected sunrises and sunsets on the Mekong River or from mountain summits, we found comfort in the coolness and togetherness that prevailed. The experience of living life in slow motion, observing the simple happiness of the Laotian people, left an unforgettable impression on us. Anong, our exceptional tour guide, was instrumental in making this experience special. His commitment to his homeland, vast knowledge, and heartwarming stories brought Laos to life. The affordability of everything in Laos, particularly the delicious food, amazed us. The emphasis on eco-friendly practices, like wrapping food in banana leaves instead of plastic, added to our appreciation. The bustling Luang Prabang morning market was a cultural delight. The Mekong River became our constant companion, allowing us to explore Laos in various ways — kayaking, fishing, and bamboo rafting. Covering more than a thousand kilometers of the river in Laos, this journey was made even more remarkable by the private transportation arrangements. The private boat from Luang Prabang to Huay Xai was exceptionally comfortable, reflecting the company's commitment to our comfort and unity. Anong, our guide, stood out with his dedication and enthusiasm. His personal story and extensive knowledge turned statues and temples into vivid tales. His concern for our safety, especially the kids, was commendable, and his willingness to go the extra mile left a lasting impression. His selflessness, even sacrificing his resting time for our enjoyment, was a testament to his dedication. As we look to the future, we are thinking of our return to explore more with this incredible company. Thank you for a remarkable journey that will stay with us forever. Your exceptional service truly made this a trip of a lifetime.

      Fascinating Day in Luang Prabang
Our family of 3 had a private tour with Anong as our guide. He was generous, energetic, and highly professional. He speaks perfect English. He has an extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Laos, so we learned a great deal from him. I have done some study of Buddhism, and was surprised and pleased to learn some things from him that I did not know during our final visit to a lovely small temple. Thank you, Anong!

Very well organized tour. We had so much fun with our guide, he told as a lot about Laos culture. We loved waterfalls, so beautiful! In the Whiskey village you can try local alcohol, the guide explained whole process. We booked this trip from the hostel staff, everything was amazing!

The Guide made this excursion fantastic
Pong was a fantastic guide and made the excursion well worth it. He was able to explain each area we ventured to very well. I could have spent a whole day at Kuang Si Waterfalls, but the cruise along the Mekong was well worth it as well. There was a lot of food for the lunch buffet, with enough options for meat eaters and vegetarians/vegans to feel satisfied at the end. Water was supplied throughout the day, but there was opportunity to purchase beverages at Kuang Si if you wanted to. This tour is also offered with falls in the morning and Caves/Cruise in the afternoon.

Transfer from Vientiane airport to Vang Vieng and train from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
We contacted this group tour for assistance in arranging a Transfer from Vientiane airport to Vang Vieng and to help us book the train from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang. His responses were quick and helpful in understanding what we needed to do. This agency uses its network to arrange for drivers and people to purchase the tickets. These things seem easy to arrange in other countries, but in Laos is not easy to do.

My wife and I recently took this sunset cruise on the Mekong. We were picked up at our hotel by Tuk-Tuk and brought to the dock. The staff were all very friendly. The ticket included a free drink but you can also buy on-board ... with very reasonable prices. We had great lounge chairs right on the front of the boat and enjoyed a very relaxing evening. If in Luang Prabang ... a cruise on the Mekong for sunset is a must and this group is an excellent option.

The cruise comes with a complementary Cocktail.
Unfortunately with so little rum in the Mujito you can’t taste it. It put us off buying any other drinks.
The cruise into the sunset is all you would expect ...beautiful memorable and romantic.

Although there is no sunset to see due to cloudy weather, the ride was scenic and very peaceful. If you book through Tripadvisor, you will be picked up at your hotel and brought to Sasa Cruises. It's much cheaper to book directly with Sasa if you want to save a few bucks.

As first-timers to Luang Prabang, it seemed fitting that we go directly to a Mekong sunset cruise after landing in mid-afternoon. We took a chance on the Tripadvisor recommendations. Although the weather was not fully cooperating and there were clouds and haze that kept the setting sun out of direct view, the cruise itself was pleasant enough. It provided just the right ambience for novices while not being "touristy" in an annoying way. The staff were all very pleasant and service was very good.
