- Mwollan0 contributionsBike and bite tourGreat tour company. Highly recommended. We mistakenly booked our tour for the wrong date before we were even in Yangon. They emailed us letting us know we were late and we realize that we had booked the wrong day. We emailed them back and they promptly replied and said it was no problem and to come on the correct day and did not charge us any extra. My wife and I had a great tour with Swan through Dala and then he took us back across the river to Yangon and we were able to try some local cuisine. We tried 14 different things throughout the day and had no need for food until late in the evening. Swan was very enthusiastic, spoke great English, and could answer all of our questions. He provided more than we thought we were going to get out of the tour and we greatly appreciate it.Written February 18, 2020
- Janetom40 contributionsBike Tour of DalaA great experience, our guide Swan was excellent, he did great job, spoke excellent English, was enthusiastic and informative as well as ensuring we were safe on our bicycles. Well worth the trip saw everyday life on the other side, very different from downtown Yangon. Well done Swan you are an asset to the company. Many Thanks Tom & JaneWritten February 12, 2020
- phereng0 contributionsBest Dala tour in YangonIf you really want to see Myanmar people and visit a poor place and see how they live go to Dala . But you need a guide because it s easy to be list !Written February 9, 2020
- Michael S0 contributionsHighly RecommendI have done a significant amount of tours throughout SE Asia and this was one of the best. The people of Dala are extremely friendly and the stops were all worthwhile. The guide was superb, I wish I could remember this name to add it here.Written February 1, 2020
- GVancouver0 contributionsFabulous experienceTerrific bike tour. Our guide Swan did a great job of introducing the lifestyle of the people in Dala, from the hectic scene at the ferry jetty to the local villages to the rural farmland. The bamboo bikes (yes really) are in good shape. The roads are mostly fine, with only a couple of busy spots to navigate. Swan paced the tour to our interests, with plenty of photo stops and good explanations of life in Dala. The stop at the local wet market was a highlight for us. The tour is good for recreational cyclists. Anyone with basic cycling experience could handle it. We considered renting bikes and going on our own. Having done the tour we strongly recommend going that route. Had we gone on our own, as we generally prefer, we would not have gotten as much from the experience as we did having Swan guide us. This was probably the highlight of our visit to Yangon. Money well spent.Written January 19, 2020
- 301ArielM0 contributionsInteresting experienceCompared with Yangon. Dala is completely another world. And the best way to visit is cycling. Our guide was a very nice lady.Written December 29, 2019
- bel19790 contributionsExcellent!I spent the afternoon in Dala with Htet Aung. He was such a good guide! Friendly and easy going, with lots of patience for my questions and photo taking. Dala is a different world from Yangon and well worth seeing. I initially wanted to do it in the morning but glad I went later in the day instead - the return journey on the ferry as the sun was setting was wonderful. Highly recommended.Written December 13, 2019
- xcricketmum0 contributionsDala bamboo bike tourExcellent trip from start to finish. The booking process and communication was first class. My guide Swan was very friendly and made sure the bike was ready and adjusted for me before we set off. He looked after the safety aspect very well as we set off through the busy downtown traffic towards the ferry. He was a pleasant, well informed and interesting guide who took me to various places in Dala, handicraft shop, candle making, food market, fishing village, farming, tea room, pagoda, temple and monastery. The bamboo bike was great and the cycling fairly flat. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip. Thank youWritten December 3, 2019
- hkm914500 contributionsExcellent way to see DalaI did the bicycle tour in Dala, just across the Yangon River. This is a great half-day activity to get away from the chaos in Yangon. It also makes for good exercise; the bicycle is legit made of bamboo. I was the only one in my group and so it was basically a one-on-one guided tour. My guide Htet Aung was very knowledgeable about Yangon, Dala and many aspects of Myanmar history, culture and life. Furthermore, he was personable and spoke very good English. It can be a bit daunting to ride your bicycle (even briefly) in Yangon, but Htet Aung ensures that safety is a priority. The tour includes stops at two shops, a pagoda and a tea shop, but the route weaves in and out of Dala, and you really get a glimpse of how contrasting life is in Dala vs. downtown Yangon. Being the only one in the group meant I had more luxury to stop and take my time on photos. Overall, I highly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys cycling and has half-a-day to spend in Yangon!Written November 14, 2019
- 675leag0 contributionsGreat experience in DalaWe really enjoyed our bicycle tour with our guide Swan in Yangon/Dala. Even though the weather was partially quite rainy, the tour was fun and interesting. Swan was well prepared and equipped us with rain coats. It was one of the most relaxed and authentic experiences we had so far in Myanmar. If I had to name a suggestion for improvement, I would say that the bicycles could be in a better condition. Nevertheless, we would always recommend this tour! Thank you, Swan! :)Written November 11, 2019
- claxfam0 contributionsBamboo bike tour over to DalaGreat bike tour this morning. Min Min was a really knowledgeable and friendly guide. We took the bikes on the ferry to Dala and spent the morning riding round the lanes and visiting workshops and Temples, and talking about how people live in this part of the world. Highly recommended!Written November 8, 2019

What a fantastic trip. From the booking process, to the welcome the beautiful bikes themselves and the content of the trip I can highly recommend taking time out to do this trip.
Our guide Htet was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and tuned in to our needs.
Htet gave clear instructions on what to expect and how to stay safe. The first couple of minutes in the Yangon Streets were a bit daunting but that was soon forgotten once we hit the jetty and got on the ferry. The roads on the other side are a joy to ride and with the help of Htet we wound our way through villages, past schools emptying for the day, wandering dogs, motor bikes , paddy fields, T shops and basically local people just living their lives. It was interesting and the local people made us feel very welcome and not like intruders.
All the stops were very interesting and the market was something else.
After the tour was completed we headed out for a food tour. We ate so much food, we were glad we hadn't eaten since breakfast. I dont want to spoil the surprise for others by saying what we ate but it is an amazing experience. We will feel more confident ordering food in Myanmar now.
Many thanks to Htet and Yongon Bike tours for a day we will always remember.
