10/10! Would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone. Our driver Dan was talkative, friendly and knowledgable about Romanian history, culture and current events. He was passionate about the welfare and wellbeing of the bears, the purpose and mission of the sanctuary and also had some tips and recommendations for other places to visit and eat whilst in Brasov. This trip exceeded my expectations and proved to be worth every penny spent, knowing that the majority of the money goes straight to the bear sanctuary. Dalia our tour guide at the sanctuary was quirky and knowledgable and had excellent knowledge of each individual bear along with its history and back story. The gift shop had home made unique items that we couldn’t resist.
A highly recommended experience for anyone visiting Brasov or the Transylvanian region. Thankyou very much.

The tour was wonderful and definitely a must-see. Dan is an excellent guide, very considerate of our needs, making sure that we're comfortable and have everything we need (including water). He took us to and from the sanctuary through some amazing surroundings, telling us lots of interesting historical facts and local insights, in a very comfy car.
As for the sanctuary, it is a must-see. The whole experience is very educative for those that aren't aware of the stories behind the bears and the entry fee is basically a donation for them, helping the sanctuary stay alive.

My friend and I had such a lovely experience doing this tour! First of all, it was easy to arrange - we received an email right after booking with pick-up arrangements. Our guide Dan was super punctual, and proved to be very knowledgeable about his country and culture, thus providing us with a lot of interesting knowledge about Romania during the trip to and from the sanctuary.
The time at the sanctuary itself was amazing. Felt amazing to see the bears so closely, while still knowing they were happy bears (despite their tragic pasts before they were rescued) in as natural a habitat as possible. The rescue Center is doing so much important work, and the trip was super educational.
I would recommend to anyone and definitely go again if I come back to Romania.

Dan was excellent even though we left the tour until the last minute. He picked us up from Poiana Brasov with 2 hours notice and took us to the sanctuary. He even gave us chocolate and water - winner! He was very knowledgable about the area and Romania in general. He also made sure we had the correct tickets and told us where we needed to go etc. After the tour it was time for us to travel back to England, so he dropped us at the train station in Brasov and recommended some places to have lunch. Overall, well worth paying for his knowledge and door to door service!

I had an amazing day at the Liberty Bear Sanctuary with Dan, and he took me on a trip to Prapastiile Zarnesti (Zarnesti Canyon). He also gave me lots of information about the local area, history, culture and different legends! For me the best part is that he picked me from a different location and I did not need to travel to the pick up point. I truly recommend Dan and the team! The sanctuary is worth visiting, the bears there are kept in a huge forest, they are taken care of and the team does a great job!

Great from start to finish. Was picked up by Alex, who offered to stop off at a local bakery on the way there (which was a delight). When we arrived he guided us to the rest of the guided tour while he waited in the car for us to finish. The tour was very informative about the sanctuary and there were alot of bears around (with extra animals such as wolves, deer and dokneys. When finished we met with Alex at the car park and stopped of at the bakery one more time on the way back to our hotel.

It was amazing to see so many bears - they all have sad stories but are being well looked after by the sanctuary. They are fed at visiting time so you're sure to see them pretty close up. You can also see wolves and other rescued animals here. Some of the hills you have to walk up/down can be a little steep, so bear in mind if you struggle with walking

The experience was fab! The sanctuary was beautiful - a unique experience. Dan my driver looked after me incredibly well and was very knowledgable and helpful. The company were even so kind to rearrange my trip after I booked it on the wrong date! Couldn’t recommend them enough 😊

The experience of the trip to the Libearty Bear Sanctuary was definitely amazing!!! It exceeded all my expectations. It is a magical place with a great value. The work they do in the sanctuary and seeing the bears in that place is exciting and also moving. Dan is a super guide, very nice and friendly. I totally recommend it!!! Thanks a lot!!!

I had an excellent private tour to the Libearty bear sanctuary near Brasov. All communication was quick and easy. Even though I booked the afternoon before, I immediately received confirmation and a message regarding pickup. My tour guide was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable and spoke perfect English. He also varied the route by driving through Poiana Brasov (the beautiful resort area) on return, which included a great photo opportunity over the city. I highly recommend this company and this tour. My thanks for an amazing experience!
