Amazing views, amazing guide, amazing food. Made my Romania trip THAT much better. The villages we saw were so genuine, and the nature is unbelievable.

We did a one day hike with Mihai. The pace of the hike was great, Mihai stopped to explain the history, fauna and flora of the mountains. He made sure the hike was enjoyable and he took good care of us throughout the entire hike.

This trip was exactly as described and expected. Hiking through remote villages with stunning views, lots of animals, and delicious local dinners and palinka at night. I had an incredible time with my guide Alina. She is incredibly passionate about Romania, I learned so much! I recommend this for any nature/travel lover who wants to explore Romania.

We had Dan as our guide and he was amazing. He really knows his history and brings it to life with figures and pictures. He has a real passion for Romanian history and it was a pleasure to learn from him. The castles were great and well explained by Dan. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip!

OK, so there was only one bear and a lot of silent waiting. However, one bear is better than none and you cannot order wild nature to display itself as if it were Netflix. There were quite a few foxes as well, which was very cool. And funnily enough a young bear who came to feed was scared of a fox who was clearly enjoying his commanding presence even if a bear could snap its head off with one bite. Robert the guide was very passionate about bears and made the experience worthwhile.

Right from booking the trip this has been a great experience, staff were friendly and really helpful. On the actual day I visited Peles and Bran Castles and then Rasnov fortress. Had Charlie as a guide who was fantatic. He was funny, knowledgeable and a massive help when I was afraid of some of the stairs, 😆. He got us there before the big queues began and so there was plenty of time to explore and take pictures. Although you can't go in the fortress at present it's still worth the visit for the history and the spectacular views. Thank you Active and Charlie

This tour was the best of our trip. The optional Peles Castle is 100% worth it. This company does small groups, so our guide Charlie was able to have discussions with us while driving and provides tons of information on Romanian culture and the history of the area. Pro tip: pay for the tractor train thing at Rasnov...the path is long and steep, so it was the best 10 Leo I've ever spent.

Spent a wonderful day hiking with Andreea. She was an incredible guide who told us many stories of Romania’s history and was incredibly knowledgeable about hiking and mouintaneering. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to spend the day off the beaten path, one of the best things we did in Romania!

Had a bit of a difficult time getting there (late arrivals and traffic). Did see three bear. Blind is quite crowded and our driver was our guide - no ranger

We had a perfect day hiking in the Carpathian Mountains. Mihai is a very knowledgeable guide with a good energy and good attitude. Highly recommend for anyone who enjoys the outdoors!

the tour is a friendly easy pace through beautiful country and an awesome canyon the tour guide Alex was brilliant easy going and happily chatted with our small group and taking us at our pace, we were picked up on time and never in a rush highly recommend it

On our tour, we went to Peleș, Pelișor and Bran castles as well as the Sinaia Monastery and Rasnov Fort. It was a full day to say the least. Dan, our amazing tour guide, made it all happen even when it wasn’t the original plan because we added more stops. He was very accommodating and made sure we got to Sinaia early to avoid the lines on the next destination at Peles Castle. We arrived at Peles Castle in perfect time before the crowds. Throughout the trip we would make stops of visita points for a quick break, which was nice to stretch and get some fresh air. Most importantly, Dan is very knowledgeable and we got a good sense of Romanian history. He uses photos, books, maps, and figurines to help convey and understand the rich history. You can tell that Dan loves what he does and his country, and wants people to love it as much. He is an approachable and friendly person to ask anything related to Romaina. Had a great trip to the canyon with Alex as the guide. He was friendly and knowledgeable, making the experience enjoyable. The walk was mostly relaxed, though there were some steep sections, especially on the way down. I'd recommend wearing boots or proper walking shoes.
