We will end our tour in Turkish house (Biscevica corner), one of the most beautiful examples of residential architecture from the Ottoman period in Mostar, where you will be acquainted with the examples of typical family life in the 17th century, hosting visitors in a drawing-room, relaxing over traditionally made coffee and beverages.
Food was always a central part of life both family and entertainment. Your professional and private guide is there to tell you about Mostar's tradition, history and culture inside the beautiful interior of an old ottoman home.

- Steve H0 contributionsGreat GuideWhen I met Ali, our guide, we discovered that we had two things in common. In our childhoods we both supported Portsmouth FC, and now we both support Chelsea FC (they won today Ali ⚽️) His historical knowledge and enthusiasm were amazing, and what he doesn't know about Mostar isn't worth knowing. Thank you Ali, for making our tour of Mostar so enjoyable. Steve & DeniseWritten May 6, 2023
- 979alexas0 contributionsMemorable Mostar ExperienceAleci was a fantastic tour guide who provided so much information about the history of not only Mostar, but Bosnia & Herzegovina as a country. Very well spoken and well informed. The stop at the coffee house to learn the difference between Bosnian & Turkish coffee once he learned of our Turkish heritage made my mom's trip. Thank you so much!Written September 28, 2022

- Ange A0 contributionsMostar experienceThis tour was fantastic and we had a great guide in Ali. We loved all the information Ali told us and he was able to answer all our questions. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and this impressed us. The visit to the 'Turkish' House was fascinating and the explanation about traditional coffee was captivating. Our only request for next time is that Tui inform their guests of the type of footwear needed for this visit.Written August 21, 2022
- Niamh C0 contributionsFunny and knowledgable guide! We did a walking tour around Mostar as part of a trip we booked on get your guide. Our local guide Al was extremely knowledgable and witty, just what we like! He gave us insightful information about Mostar and the country in general, despite te torrential weather. He brought us to a traditional Turkish house and even showed us how traditional coffee was made and the meaning behind it. He was cracking jokes the whole time which made it that much more enjoyable. I really appreciate the knowledge he had on our own country and the similarities between the divides in Ireland and Bosnia. It’s not often you get guides who know their world geography! Would highly recommend Al and the tour!Written August 15, 2022
- David D0 contributionsSaw lots, great Guide - wonderful experienceSaturday 11th June and we were booked on the All Day Mostar Tour. Although we booked the tour through a TUI Rep at our hotel, Tui Blue Kalamato on Kolocep, the Tour Operator was Gullivers Travels. One of the features of the Tour was guided tour of the Old Town with a local Guide, this service was provided by Fortuna Tours. We arrived in Mostar at around 11.00 where we met our Guide who was waiting for us. We moved a way from the coach park, we stopped in a shaded area. It was here our Guide introduced himself to us, there was only 8 of us, apologies can't remember his name, he did inform us that his nickname was Dado. He welcomed us to Mostar and gave us details of the tour. He advised us to wear backpacks on our chests as there were a number of pickpockets about, he identified some as they approached. Thankfully no-one in our group was robbed. We visited the delightful small Hadji Kurt Mosque (Tabacica). We then made our way to Stari Most (Old Bridge) where we watched the divers, Dado ensured we got a good vantage point The final stop was at Kajtaz House, superb preserved example of an Ottoman House, we also tasted some Turkish coffee here. Along the way other points of interest were pointed out to us, the Crooked Bridge, Mostar Peace Bell Tower and the site where the Synagogue is due to be built. He also pointed out the way down to the beach under the Old Bridge. We also visited a jewellery shop, with plenty to see. The tour lasted about ninety minutes, it was full of historical, social and useful information. There were some humorous elements as was well. Throughout the tour our guide was concerned for our safety and kept an eye our for the pickpockets operating in the busy tourist areas. Before he left us, Dado gave us directions to places he thought might be of interest.Written June 12, 2022
