What to Expect
The tour will start from Gjakova, in front of Abdullah Pasha Dreni old House (Tourist Info point) and will continue through the Grand Bazaar. On the way we will see and visit the Shejh Emini Tekke (1730) and then continue through the Gjakova old Grand Bazaar (one of the largest monumental complexes in the region, built in the 16th century). Right at the entrance of the Bazaar we will see an old traditional stone house presenting a typical Albanian architecture of 18th century. While at Bazaar, we will stop by few artisan shops to see Albanian traditional handicrafts and then continue to visit the symbol of the city of Gjakova - Hadum Mosque, built in the 16th century, which, according to the history and legend marks the beginning of the city as the cultural, educational and religious center of this settlement. Our journey will then continue to Haraqia Restaurant for a coffee break (built in the 16th century, is included in the list of monuments of cultural heritage and before had served as a guesthouse for a long time). Next, we will visit the City Clock Tower (16th century) and the City's Ethnographic Museum (the museum is rich with different traditional Albanian collections with a stock of around 1700 items of cultural materials found in urban and rural settlements of Gjakova region during various historical periods). The last stop in Gjakova will be the St. Ndou's and St. Pal's & St. Peter's Churches (main churches in Gjakova). All places are within a walking distance from one another.

After Gjakova, the Tour continues to Prizren. On the way to Prizren we will have the opportunity to see two old beautiful bridges, "Terzi bridge and White Drin river Sacred bridge. After arriving in Prizren, we'll stop at the city's old Bazaar (built in 15th century, paved with old rocks and displaying beautiful narrow streets that come from the Ottoman and Albanian inspired architecture) and visit the Shadervan square (considered as the main point of activities where the cultural, economic and social life intersects) and the Stone Bridge (built in the 16th century in the oriental style with spherical shape). A few minutes walk from the bridge will take us to Haleveti Tekke, City Clock Tower and Gazi mehmet Hammam (Turkish bath), leading then to the Albanian League memorial complex - 1878 (converted into a museum that houses photographs, documents, objects and clothing dating from the time of the Assembly). From there, we continue the walk to Sinan Pasha Mosque (built in 1615 by Sinan Pasha), and also see the Cathedral of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour and the Prizren Castle - Fortress (believed that the Fortress dates from the 6th century). From the top of the castle you get to have a whole city view (this is optional for you to go there,as it takes around 30 min walk to climb to the Castle).

Lunch break in Gjakova prior to departure for Prizren, and a tea/coffee break while in Prizren.

Excellent tour
Joined this fantastic tour recently. Tour guide is absolutely professional in tour arrangements and it’s more than a sightseeing tour! I visited all landmarks of the lovely city of Pristina while at the same time given insights on the cultural and historical aspects of Kosovo. As a first time visitor, all my questions on this place were thoroughly explained. Best way to explore Pristina and Kosovo. I’d recommend this tour to everyone.

Tour of Gjakova
Few months ago my family and I had the pleasure to visit Kosovo. We went to Kosovo before, but this time we decided to visit Gjakova with the help of Svonon Tours. They prepared an amazing itinerary for us and with the help of their guide, who speaks English like a native, we discovered many significant religious, cultural and historical sites in Gjakova. The guide was extremely welcoming and had a great knowledge of the city's ancient and modern past. Svonon is a professional tour company and I recommend it to anyone visiting the country. We cannot wait to return.

Aussies in Kosovo
My wife and I and an ex-pat Albanian/Kosovan recently had the pleasure to be guided around the ancient and inspirational city of Gjakovë. Having travelled from Australia we were very keen to experience typical Albanian/Kosovan hospitality and see historical sites. Our Svonon tour guides were extremely welcoming and had an amazing knowledge of the cities ancient and modern past. Many significant religious, cultural and historical sites were shown and explained to us. Fascinating! It was also a delight to fare in a traditional lunch that was delicious and fresh. Svonon is a professional tour company and I would thoroughly recommend them for local and international tourists alike. We cannot wait to return.

A fun and memorable tour of Pristina and Tirana
We are a family with young children and the day tour of Pristina provided while in Kosovo was so enjoyable, informative and they were able to adjust or slow the pace to fit the needs of our family. The museum and caves were the highlight! The tour guide was so friendly, accommodating and did a great job in showing us the main historical and cultural events of the city. We were also lucky enough to do a day tour of Tirana while we stayed in Albania. The tour guide there provided us with a wonderful tour of the city showing us the key areas of the city including the museum, and bazaar as well as the bunker museum in Tirana. We left with such a great understanding of Albania’s history. We otherwise would not have been able to do so much on one day if not for the help of Svonon Tours in Kosovo and Albania. Thank you!

This year during my stay in Kosovo i had the pleasure of meeting the directors of Svonon Tours of Gjakove. Even though i have visited Gjakove before i don't really know this beautiful city of Kosovo. they prepared a comprehensive 1 day itinerary for me and i chose to have a guide with me who with his knowledge of the city and his pleasant friendly manner made the day very enjoyable and far too short to fully experience and enjoy all that Gjakove has to offer. additionally the guide spoke Italian and English like a native which made it so much easier for me. i have no hesitation in recommending this Tourist Agency to anyone visiting Kosovo.

Davvero bravi!
Davvero bravi!
