Best way to start
Nov 2019
Best way to start your visit of Kotor. We were in port for a day and we took this Bus around first. It was a great way to see and learn about Kotor and to see which areas you might want to spend a little more time in. They provide you ear buds and during the ride you get to hear some neat historical facts.

Great way to see Kotor and the Bay of Kotor
Sep 2019
We arrived at the town dock by tender from our cruise ship on a misty, overcast morning and we had all day to see the sights. Researching before our cruise started, I knew there was a Hop-on/off tour available. We purchased tickets for the bus tour in a building near the dock and got in line. The staff for this company were all very friendly and helpful. Several buses were available for the tours and narrations via ear buds was available in several languages. The sun came out as we traveled the road north along the lake thru the town of Perast to the town of Risan where we got off the bus to see the preserved Roman ruins. Along this road we saw oyster and mussel farms as well as fish farms. The scenery was very picturesque. On the return trip south, the bus stopped in Perast. We were able to the famous Lady of the Rocks chapel in Perast. The tour lasted about two hours and was very informative. We learned a lot and very much enjoyed this tour.

More than I expected.
A bus was waiting at the cruise terminal. Representatives on site guided me to it. The trip along the coast was lovely, and as advertised. Buses came every half hour. And we got.a.half hour guided tour of the old.town of Kotor. mlm Nice.

Needs improvement
Oct 2019 • Couples
It was sad that we did not experienced all the beauty of the place because the tour crew messed up our time in Kotor. To start, the information of the tour never explained that you have set times for the tour, it said they have a bus available when arrived. Also me er mentioned that the tour included a walking tour of the city, which we had to do ourselves because the did not have any buses available, so they send us to the old city to explore alone. The staff highly rude and not prepared to managed such large crowd. Such a great place they need to make their tours better.

Lovely way to see the sights
Jun 2019 • Friends
We had purchased tickets online prior to our cruise. After disembarking, the buses were just a short stroll away and staff members were waiting to help everyone ( and sell more tickets). We were able to get excellent seats and waited only a few minutes before departing.
The audio headsets worked really well and were synchronised with what we were seeing, a lot better than some other HO HO buses we have used. The stops were interesting and because it was an extremely hot day, we chose not to visit the island. We also chose not to do the free working tour, exploring briefly on our own before having a delicious restaurant lunch under a much appreciated
cooling mist.
This tour was certainly great value and was a very stress free way to see the sights of Kotor.

A good way to see Kotor
Sep 2019
My wife and I enjoyed the ride and narrative however the sound quality varied. Sometimes it was very good and other times barely understandable. This is the best way to go beyond the walled city. The first stop in Risan was very good as the mosaics were interesting and well restored. Having the bus wait for the 30 minutes worked out very well. We should have gotten off at Perast and caught the next bus as it would have had the trip end at the right time for the walking tour of the old city. As it was we would have had to wait an hour so by the time we had walked it ourselves we were ready to return to the cruise.

highlight of cruise
Just returned from a tui cruise and loved our day out in kotor Montenegro the bus tour office and pickup was about 100 metres from the tender drop off and the staff quickly organised tickets and I think the tour leave every 30 minutes .a very pleasant tour along the coast with a visit to Roman mosaics and then an optional stop to visit the islands and then returning for a free walking tour inside the walled city which was very informative
25 euros per person on day it looks like it might have been cheaper to book online

Rainy Day in Kotor made pleasant
Jul 2019
We pulled into Kotor on our cruise ship and as we got off, there was a downpour. It was early and it seems the town was just waking up. We decided not take a cruise or private 'tour' and try the HOHO. sightseeing experience. We found the small store kiosk just outside port that was the place to get tickets. But the lady in the shop said that we would find the company employees in a coffee shop nearby. So we went in there and talked to the guys and they were incredibly helpful and asked us to enjoy the coffee and that they will let us know when its time.
Sure enough after about 30-45 min they said they were ready to leave and escorted us to the bus which was now waiting near the exit at the port. Our only regret was that we could not find a seat upstairs as the passengers who got off later from the ship found the bus waiting right at the exit.. of course we were enjoying our fresh cup of coffee (with the much needed wifi to catch up on the world?).
The HOHO bus's first stop was at a roman excavation (the ticket included the entrance). As interesting as the history was, we would have skipped that but we just did the 'sightseeing in the allotted time and got back on the bus. Note that the bus doesn't have any 'live' guide but the narrated commentary is adequate. Nonetheless, the bus driver and staff were helpful to answer any questions. We got off at the 'Lady of the Rocks' church and took a short boat ride to this quaint and beautiful must see church. The HOHO buses run only every half hour so plan your visit so you get the most time at the church and the village of Perast. The drive along one of the most spectacular coastlines is worth every penny on its own even if you did not get off the bus. Our last experience with the HOHO was the old town walking tour (after they bring you back to port) which was also part of the ticket. Once again we were caught in a rain shower but fortunately I had made the best $8 investment earlier in a raincoat / poncho that protected me reasonably well. The guide was a committed local that elucidated every building and landmark in the old town in detail in the midst of this wet weather. There was no doubt in our minds that she wanted us to experience the best 30 minute walking tour of this city's treasured old town. We topped of our brief stopover with local beer and good pasta in the town piazza. The cruise ship is docked only a short walk away so no stress in getting back onboard.
All in all the HOHO idea worked for us and we got good value. With a short stop on a cruise this was the best choice but this picturesque town deserved more time. I hope to return someday and spend at least a couple of days.

Good experience.
The stop at the roman mosaics was interesting. You have to get off as the bus waits for everyone (10-15mins).
The next stops you can stay on and take pictures.
The walking tour is not compulsory and takes place when the bus tour has ended.
