- roulaga0 contributionsRude skipper & company ownerCan’t fault the nature, which was breathtaking and beautiful! But what would you when the driver of the boat is rude! Reading other people comments we wonder why we were allocated a skipper that doesn’t utter a single word. If the walls could speak we would have learned more about the places than staying with him. Most of the time on the phone and heavily smoking blinding us with smell. And no we couldn’t change our places because of course the yacht has to be balanced. When we shared this review with the owner and on TripAdvisor; he didn’t like it at all! More to the point he insulted us on what’s app and came to write a beautiful thank you note here about us hiring them. So In short if you are assigned to a knowledgeable and friendly skipper you are in luck! If not then you MUST share a beautiful review regardless of your thoughts or else you will be harassed privately! I’ll share the contrast between his responses in private and here on trip advisor. There are plenty of operators In kotor who possibly do a better job! We fell for the recommendation in one of the places we stayed in! Never again!Written August 18, 2024

Great trip & we loved Perast. Most yours only spend 30mins there but we had 2 hours so time for a walk around and something to eat with a glass of lovely rose. I had my 84 year old mother with me and they couldn’t have been more helpful & kind to her.

There are so many options but glad I went with them. Easy to communicate with, safe, timely and a great tour. It was more like transport rather than a guided tour but I was fine with this. Three hours. Beautiful views, thirty minute stop at Our Lady of the Rocks and one hour in Perast. Would recommend.

Took the afternoon tour with about 25 other people.
Boat ride to first stop, the Lady of the Rocks, was pleasant as the day was quite warm.
After a few minutes viewing the church we were ready to get going, as were most of the others. However the operators kept everyone waiting for over 1/2 hour.
Next stop, Perast, a short 5 minute ride.
Pretty little village with some interesting things to see.
Visit here was very short and barely gave people time to see anything.
A quick drink at a local seaside restaurant was a mistake.
17 Euros for a tiny (4 mouthfuls) of warmish rose wine and an even warmer Corona!!
Staff could not care less!!!
Last leg back was virtually the same as the trip out.

A tour of the beautiful Bay of Kotor is a must for any visitor to Kotor Montenegro. My daughter and I found Ankica Taxi and Rent Boat parked at the dock just a short walk from our Windstar Cruise ship. For a reasonable price Miki Duric the owner and operator of the service provided us and a Brit couple with a most enjoyable tour of the Kotor Bay, to include visits to the "Lady on the Rocks" island, and the charming village of Perast.
Mirki speaks excellent English, knows the bay highlights well, and operates a modern comfortable/roomy boat. Shared with another couple the 3 hours tour was a real bargain, proving again that there are better and less expensive options to cruise ship land packages.
Highly recommend Mirki and his boat for a tour of a drop-dead beautiful area--again, a must for any visitor to Kotor.

Adults = €15pp. 2.5 hours. Miki Travel have two boats - 'Ankica I' and 'Ankica II'.
Myself and a friend got on at the harbour in Kotor, opposite the old town main gate, on a weekday in August. We first arrived at 11:45am for the 12pm boat but the boat was already full. Therefore, we pre-paid and returned at 1:45pm for the 2pm boat which was already close to capacity.
On boarding with our pre-paid tickets at 1:45pm we immediately had a disagreement with two women who had selfishly 'reserved' the equivalent of four spaces for themselves with a beach towel. They couldn't understand why we'd moved their towel to the side, in their absence, to allow us to sit down - not a good start! There were no other spaces, so we had no other choice.
Pros:
-I enjoying visiting the Lady of the Rocks island with its church & museum (30 minutes on land) and the village of Perast (30 minutes).
-On the return from Perast - at 3:50pm - they provided two boats, but only as it was their last boat of the day. Therefore we weren't wedged-in for the final 45 minutes. That said, there are still no life jackets visible and there was no safety briefing. (NB. I looked across at the other boat at Perast and the towel ladies still had their beach towel over their 'reserved' area - very sad).
Cons:
-Crammed boat on outgoing journey to the Lady of the Rocks island and Perast - we felt like sardines on a small ship. People forced to sit outside at the front of boat and with their legs over the side.
-No safety briefing.
-No life jackets.
-No commentary whatsoever during the entire journey.
-Limited views whilst on board due to the number of people and objects within the boat.

My 2 colleagues and I were fortunate enough to have 3 days in Kotor as part of a business trip. It was quite refreshing being able to stay in Kotor. Once the phalanx of cruise ship passengers went back to their cabins, the town was even more enchanting and quiet than it was during the day.
On our first night there, whilst returning from dinner, we spotted a number of taxi/tour boats along the marina. We spoke with Mirko, who owns and runs the boat Anika, and arranged for an afternoon tour of the bay the next day.
Things couldn't have been more perfect. The weather was great, the 3 of us had the whole boat to ourselves and Mirko was a marevellously hospitable host and tour guide. We were able to sit up on the front of the boat and lounge or dangle our legs over the side and soak up the sights and sun.
The tour lasted just over 3 hours. During that time we gently cruised the fjord out of Kotor, stopped at The Lady of The Rocks as well as the village of Perast.
The stop at The Lady of The Rocks was fascinating and for the grand sum of 1 Euro had a personalized tour of the church that lasted approximately 30 minutes.
When we stopped at Perast we had the opportunity to wander the town. Mirko had recommended that we climb the old church bell tower for what would have been a phenomenal view of the fjord, but unfortunately it was closed at the time we were there. I climbed a set of stairs that leads up to houses above the water and had a beautiful view nonetheless.
Mirko was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the area, was very good company and more than happy to answer my endless questions.
For the price (150 Euro for 3 hours for the whole boat) it was well worth the time and money and I would certainly recommend Mirko and his boat, Ankica, for a relaxing afternoon on the water.

We were here in the off season, so we got really lucky with a private tour of the Bay. The boat was clean & comfortable and it was a perfect sunny day. We cruised at a comfortable speed so we didn't get too cold and made a stop at a church on an island. Next we stopped at a tiny town on the Bay. All in all it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon and we all really enjoyed it. Must do!

We went on this boat trip on the basis of the reviews listed on TripAdvisor and we weren't disappointed. The little boat (which, somehow, holds about 40 people!) departs from Kotor harbour at 12pm and the whole trip takes 2.5 hours. The first leg (about 30 mins) takes you to the island of Gospa od Škrpjela (Our Lady of the Rocks) - a tiny island with a small but ornate church. We had about half an hour to explore the island before hopping back on the boat, whose next stop, about 10 minutes later, was in the coastal town of Perast. Perast isn't as pretty or anywhere near as big as Kotor but it was nice to spend 40 minutes in this chilled-out location. There was plenty of time for a stroll, photographs, an ice cream and a quick paddle of the feet in the sea. Bear in the mind that there isn't time to sit down for lunch so if you think you'll be peckish on the trip, make sure to bring a small snack with you before you board the boat in Kotor - or just make do with an ice cream once you arrive in Perast. From Perast, the boat takes you back to Kotor. A very gentle experience and worth the 15 euros per person charge. Miki and his assistant (a lady - I didn't catch her name) were both very nice and spoke good English. Bear in mind that there is no toilet on the boat but there is one on the island of Our Lady on the Rocks.

I learn about the boat tour from the flyer I got outside the Old town. I wanted to come but decided against it because I wouldn't want to miss my bus back to Dubrovnik. But then again I went over to the pier and relay my predicament to Miki and his wife and in the end I ended up joining the tour with the rest. But first ensuring schedule from Perast that I would take me back to Kotor (since I won't be joining the boat ride back ). To make my story short we arrived to Perast and there Ive waited, Miki fearing the bus wouldn't come on time asked his trusted friend to drive me back to Kotor, even paying him for my ride back.
The boat tour itself was exceptional and the views are so beautiful, its surreal! Highly recommended! And Miki and his wife are reliable and great people to meet :) Thank you Miki Travels for making my last day in Kotor as perfect as it should be! A boat tour around Kotor Bay is a must when traveling Kotor!
