- H7837LDkatiel00Excellent day exploring the Kornati - recommended!Absolutely brilliant day out with Annika and Ivan. From the start they were great: kind and helpful to my husband, who is on crutches. We were 16 on the boat from a variety of nationalities and it was good to chat, and hear each other's stories, backgrounds etc. The journey to and from the islands is almost 2 hours, so we had time to get to know our fellow passengers. There was plenty of room on the boat for us all. Breakfast was a decent-sized sandwich which was preceded with coffee and a welcome snifter of Slivovitz, for those that wanted. Fresh fruit and drinks were available all day. Our three stops were all interesting in different ways. Great snorkeling at stop 1, interesting and pretty church, and short hike up to the fort at stop 2, and a lovely fish lunch at stop 3. Beautiful scenery, good weather, great company and convivial hosts. Thank you, Annika and Ivan, and also to Lisa, Noemi, Susie, Jo, Arthur, Xavier et al, you were fab boat-mates! I wholeheartedly recommend this trip.
- aspasiaMI00Caveat EmptorA very unfortunate and unpleasant experience for me. Having said that this is heaven for college or after college on a budget folks, which reminded me of those drinking boat parties that I avoided at all cost even when I was younger. In perspective, this tour is appropriate for young college kids, family traveling on a budget, a low cost fun tour as such. However this is definitely not appropriate for those who prefer a boat trip that has ample space to sunbathe for solo travellers, prefer peace and professionalism as opposed to having a “tour guide” that is unable to offer basic customer service to its guest. The staff exudes unprofessionalism. Some points to support my overall experience are: . Check-in was professional, no doubts. . We started “sail” — it was still good, but I had my doubts, I felt it was too overcrowded, and we were packed like sardines seating in their space to listen to “instructions” — here I was wanting to simply sunbathe, finish my book, enjoy the beautiful landscape, and then some. . The lady tour guide asked about a “breakfast” baguette - who wanted ham, with cheese, without cheese, and then quickly turned away, as I did not get a chance to let her know, I did not prefer to have a sandwich. . She said after we are on route, feel free to go here there and everywhere. . I found a spot on the side of the boat towards the front to sunbathe and enjoy the scene in solitude. The boat was overpacked (contrary to the stated maximum guests in the tour description) with young fun drinking kids (no worries there, I used to be one of them), a loud family etc. etc. . After about an hour, she hands me a sandwich - “breakfast!” - I said, sorry no, not for me. In response she grunted huffed and puffed - as she walked away - “You should have told me!” I was truly shocked to have been scolded by a boat hostess/tour guide with rudeness, I was a paying guest. . At this point I realized it will be a long and annoying day. A few minutes later she rudely asked to move or get out of my space as it obstructs her ability to move around. I conceded and I moved to the rear of the boat. Few hours later I noticed another lady on the very same spot and the Mikado Hostess did not say anything (see attached photo). . There were many more instances of this lady's rudeness towards myself. The final point was the behaviour of the Hostess/Guide and the Skipper. During stops they would canoodle and at some point, the Captain left the steering wheel and was in warm embrace with this lady sitting on the front of a boat whilst I wondered, is the boat on autopilot like an airplane. Overall the experience felt like a Frat party with the Prom Queen and King as the main protagonist. To summarize, for those that look for a on budget boating experience with bottomless cheap wine-in-a-box included in the prices - this tour would be paradise. For those that are in their late 30s or 40s and above with discretionary funds to spend -- please rent a private boat - - or find a more expensive tour with less people, a decent customer service and one where you feel you are a guest and are being served upon. This Mikado Excursion's staff of two is like Captain and Tennille boat ride - where tour guide and captain seem to be in a honeymoon and you, the guests are simply paying for it!
- Iain W00Memorable day outReally good day out on the boat. The whole experience was great, from the simple but delicious lunch to the excellent guide and his guitar. This was all helped by copious amounts of wine. Great value for money and an unforgettable experience.
- FMMUC00Awesome DayThe tour was awesome. Our guide was the nicest and most friendly guy, always helpful and creating the best experience for his guests. Kornati was stunning. You would miss out if you don't go on this boat trip! Thanks a lot for a wonderful day.
- Resort47964600Beautiful CruiseI really enjoyed the cruise, even though it got quite adventurous at times due to the wind. I really liked that you could climb everywhere on the boat and just enjoy the sea. The boat is smaller than most cruising to Kornati, which I appreciated. The three stops were nice, although I expected a longer hiking break. I would also appreciate if the guide could tell us more about the islands. Good value for money though.
- seeingwithmyheart00Unforgettable experienceWe were so happy that all 5 of our group of 12 who chose to explore Kornati, absolutely loved it. The swim in the turquoise sea, the delicious lunch, comfortable boat and engaging host made our experience truly perfect. Thank you... and can’t wait to do this again next time I bring a group of American travelers!
- mikck m00Very nice boat tourIt's a nice day trip. After a little intro you can self serve drinks like water cola and orange. You receive a breakfast roll. Then a stop at the church . A second stop to swim at a lovely area and finally the lunch stop with swimming. The only downside is they didn't point out the crosses or any info as we were travelling. And the no stop did not happen even tho it was on the board. Otherwise q great day
- Veronique N00Quite boring tripTrip was quite boring.. boat was very slow so we had a trip of at least 2,5 hour each way. Drinks were quite poor, but lunch was ok. Not much explanations about the islands or sight seeing. By the end of the day I had the feeling, I travelled the whole day instead of a nice excursion.
- Guoda P00PerfectAn absolutely amazing 5/5 trip. I'd recommend to anyone. A stunning destination, excellent organisation and great price value. The food was delicious and included in the price too.
- Apie4400Great day for our familyWe had a wonderful day with our 10 and 12 year old daughters on this boat trip. We enjoyed the small group (15 including us) of international guests and the tour guide was super nice. Plenty food and drink and the 3 stops were incredibly beautiful. We enjoyed snorkeling, exploring and jumping of the top deck of the boat. While the boat ride was long (2 hours each way,) we got to know the other people and could move around the boat freely. Great day, highly recommended!
- Kat113100Great day out on the Kornati! We had a wonderful day on this tour. Pros: -Relatively small group size; only around 14 on board (You'd be hard pressed to get that anywhere else) -beautiful stops in the Kornati; -Lunch was fresh and delicious; -Plenty of time for swimming at the first and third stop; -great value; -Even being on the boat just watching the scenery was very enjoyable and relaxing Cons: -the amount of time for the second stop was only 25minutes which made it very hard to explore the old fort. My fiancé scaled the fort and had to run back down at breakneck speed to make the boat. Would definitely recommend! 😄
- schoralekmichal00Great day on boat!Whole day trip on smaller, nice a clean boat with enough space for everybody, toilet on board. There were only 12 clients on board, very calm vs. bigger crowded boats. Coffee, sendwich just after departure, unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, delicious fish with sidedish as a dinner in small idyllic harber in Kornatti. Swimming around the boat in the beautiful bay with flock of fishes around. Despite the way from Zadar to Kornatti is 2 hours long and the boat visits just part of the islands, the trip was great and I would recomend it to my friends, we have spent a beautiful day with there with kids.
- Smith W00Best boat tripVery relaxing day on the sea on Mikado boat. We enjoyed it. Swiming and snorkeling in cristal clear water with so many fish. On boat was only 14 people, much better than on biger boat with 100-200 people. Frendly crew and clean boat. I realy recommend this boat trip!
- emjg2400Very disappointed! My boyfriend and I organised to go to Kornati. The date we wanted there was no room so another boat was organised with some other people. We paid €100 and we were very disappointed with our experience. We didn't go to any of the places that were listed on the website- we stopped twice in remote areas so there was nothing to do except swim. But we saw none of the sights that were listed on the website. We stopped for half an hour for the crew to get food- we were told nothing about what they were doing or where they were going. Neither spoke much English- there was no introduction or "this is what you're doing today." It was very unprofessional and they smoked the whole trip. It was boring and definitely not value for money! The food was good as it was cooked onboard but the website said that we would be visiting a restaurant. If I put a price on the experience I would have only paid €30 not €100. Complete waste of time!
- Wei Sheng L00Relaxing boat trip to KornatiOne major plus point for Mikado tours is that the number of people on board is only limited to 14 people per trip. The staff on board are nice and we really enjoyed the tour. There were three stops during the tour and one of which is snorkeling. We loved it as the water was extremely clear and there were alot of fishes.

This was an amazing and thoughtful trip out to Kornati national park. We were provided with breakfast and lunch, including a vegan option for me. There were fruits and drinks on the boat throughout the trip too, so it was comfortable and relaxing.
The boat is clean with space for everyone to relax as you travel. Aninka is very friendly and provides a lot of information as well as thoughtful touches to entertain (like her amazing singing at the church!)
There is a variety of activity for everyone too. Places to stop to swim and snorkel, historical sites to visit with beautiful views, a little hike and lunch at a local island restaurant. Even though I was travelling solo, I felt welcome and like part of the group of people on the boat.
The whole experience was truly wonderful and heart-warming. It is the highlight of my trip to Zadar and I strongly recommend booking it.

I can really recommend Mikado. Everything is exactly as they offer. No extra costs, everything included. The tour also goes just as planned. While enjoying the excellent views you can enjoy white wine on the boat and chill in the sun. Very nice people and very reliable too. Use this local company I stead of international booking sites - you won't regret it. The boat is small, ca. 20 people in, so there's no extensive crowd as well. You can really enjoy the swim with fish.

Long trip for low wow-factor.
First stop nice but snorkeling can also be done on other places closer then Kornati.
2nd stop ok but no direct link found with the fact you are at Kornati. We did not see a single sheep or goat 🤭.
3rd stop lunch was ok but swimming time on this location too long. There was not really much to see.
In total the boat trip where nothing happens takes 5 hours. The 2h30 back was really too much (especially when you are surpassed by all other excursions in faster boats 🧐)

I attended the excursion together with my two teenage children. Everything (duration of the trip, planned stops, events) went on exactly as presented on the website. That transparency of information, together with a good contact and support from Ivan via WhatsApp, is a great advantage of Mikado tours over the competing agencies.
Also we very much appreciated the size of the boat (14 persons only) which makes it big enough to have e.g., a breakfast or good coffee on board, and small enough to slip to some shallow bays for a stopover. It would be a better opportunity, though, if the 2nd swimming stop was organized in some more picturesque place (more fit for snorkeling) than the little bay in Suha Punta - i.e. just opposite to the place where the lunch was served (but we understand that choice was the up to the narrow time-schedule). Referring to some comments complaining on the quality of the meals served or on the amount of information provided during the trip by guides - it definitely depends on what you expect to receive. We were prepared to have some short and not too demanding trekking on the island, some nice snorkelling in the crystal clear waters of Kornati etc. (just as described on their website) and didn't expect a lifetime adventure, thus we were not disappointed at all with the outcome. The food was tasty though quite robust, our guide spoke good English and was very friendly and a good mixer.
We truly recommend this tour operator.

We had a thoroughly good day on this trip. The breakfast and lunch provided was very tasty especially the restaurant by the coast. The swimming and snorkelling at Lojena Beach was very relaxing and the sightseeing of the fort and church later on was fantastic. Overall an amazing day!

Incredibly beautiful National Park with crystal clear water, gorgeous views and walks. Stops were great, especially Lojena beach. We loved every second of this trip 🙌😌 We highly recommend Mikado for visiting Kornati, it's not too crowded and it's super chill!

We did a group boat trip with Felicio Tours on the boat called Eufemija. It would appear that Felicio Tours own a lot of the boats in Zadar.
Our trip was a 3 stop one that included the usual food and wine( vinegar) package.
The only positives of the tour were that the staff were friendly and the food was OK considering what you paid.
Firstly, the boat was over capacity, and when we asked the staff on board about this, all they did was shrug their shoulders, saying nothing we could do. It was like bringing cattle to the mart.
Healthy and safety was not a huge priority.
Smoking on the boat did not seem to be a problem ( outside and inside) with children everywhere also. Sure, even the staff were smoking behind the coffee area, and while cooking the food.
The same music was played over and over again.
The first very small beach they brought us to was rammed packed with people.lots of people actually just turned around and went back. (See pictures).
The second stop the beach was nice and nowhere as busy. The 3rd stop which they tell you is a fishing village is actually just a camp site that is close to a fishing village 🙄.
In summary, if "want to waste a day of your holidays and your hard earned cash," then do this tour. We learned the hard way.
Zadar itself is a fabulous city with great energy to it.. I highly recommend visiting the old town with fabulous restaurant bars. We were also in Rovinj which is beautiful and well worth a visit. We stayed in Pula as well. Its old town is very impressive, but as an overall experience, Zadar is streets ahead.

Great day out. Would have liked less time at monastery and fitted in another short swim stop on the way back. Liked facility to help yourself to drink and fruit. Snorkeling in the blue sea on first swim stop was lovely, lots of fish. Dolphins swimming around the boat was amazing too 🐠🛥️😁

This was a great day out sailing through Kornati Islands. The trip was a good mix of sight seeing from the boat, a couple of stops for hiking and swimming/snorkelling and lunch before returning to Zadar.
The guide was lovely and welcoming and the small group size (max 20 persons) was great. Information cards about the sights on the way were available in many languages.
Food and drinks provided on board was good. Lunch was simple but super tasty!
Snorkle equipment was provided but we brought our own. The trip was suitable for kids too making it a good option for a family day out.

I am looking for a trip suitable for my mother and I. Whilst she would like to swim she is not keen on jumping off. Is there a ladder she can use to access the water please? She is keen to know how she will board and Unboard the boat. Whilst young at heart, she is 70!

There is a small ladder. If she is still fit, she can climb that, but it is not that easy I think.
