About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Jean F0 contributionsWonderful visit to Montenegro and Bosnia!!Very timely, highly professional, and very knowledgeable. Tour guide in Montenegro was simply amazing. Such an incredible treat. I could have listened to him all day. Definitely recommend this tour and tour company. Will recommend to family and friends!!Written January 29, 2025
- Nofoos0 contributionsThank you Doria Ltd and Miho, guide extraordinaireI've been fortunate to have had some excellent guides during this Balkans trip but my experience today with Miho was just incredible. We were unfortunate with the weather (raining on/ off all day) but Miho was everything you want in a guide: charming, humorous, informative without being overbearing, and flexible. He picked me up in an immaculately clean vehicle; a product of his dedication to want to provide impeccable service from the start. I had booked onto a group tour and despite me being the only customer the company ran the tour anyway (thank you Doria Ltd). Miho explained the ethos of the company was to put customer service above all other considerations and this showed. It was a full day tour and I felt completely taken care off. We made our way from place to place across 3 countries with Miho injecting lots of funny personal stories whilst providing oral commentary about the sights and historical context. He was passionate and seemed to have a genuine love for his craft; either that or he's an Oscar-worthy actor. After this tour I would heartily endorse Miho and Doria Ltd- a guide second to none and a company whose heart is clearly in the right place. And no, I did not let Miho's background as ex-Croatian special forces or our shared love for spicy food influence this review haha. Fantastic day with a top class gentleman. I cannot wait to come back, this time with my family - I want them to see this stunning part of the world and to also enjoy the "Miho" experience.Written January 24, 2025
- 262canw0 contributionsGreat day trip experience to MontenegroI recently had the pleasure of joining a day tour from Dubrovnik to Montenegro, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Our tour guide was incredibly flexible with time, which made the entire trip even more enjoyable and stress-free. Our guide's attentiveness and willingness to accommodate our needs made the trip memorable. This tour is highly recommended for anyone looking to explore Montenegro's beauty from Dubrovnik.Written December 29, 2024
- Kallie R0 contributionsQuick day trip to knock out 2 countries - eat in Bosnia!Excellent trip with Josip! We combined our tour with 3 others, and were pleasantly surprised to see the familiar faces of other Americans we’d run into the day before. My 8-year-old loved the tour, as did we. Kotor was the most surprising of our trip. If you’re hungry, eat in Bosnia. The food is the cheapest and best. Specifically, the cevapi. We throroughly enjoyed our trip, learning about the history, all of the border crossings and knowledge from Josip. It was great! I wish we’d booked two days of tours with him.Written December 1, 2024
- K7738FNmarianam0 contributionsDubrovnik Day Tours with MihoOur tour with Miho was absolutely wonderful and truly made our day better! Not only did he provide detailed insights into the history of the countries we visited, but he also shared stories from his own life, which created a real connection between us. Miho was incredibly kind and friendly, always attentive to our needs and questions. His passion for the region’s history and culture was evident, and it added so much depth to the experience. We couldn’t have a better guide, and we’re so grateful for the memories he helped create. Highly recommend!Written November 6, 2024

We were able to see so many cool and interesting sights with an awesome tour guide who knew so much about the local areas, crafting an unforgettable experience. - carollQ1809GX0 contributions“Exceptional Private Tour Experience: Engaging Guide, Flexible Itinerary, and Local Insights”The success of any private tour rests on the shoulders of the guide and driver. Miho was everything you could hope for. Patient, funny, full of stories, helpful recommendations, and even a few secret family recipes. At first half day tour to Ston for oysters and wine tasting was so good, we immediately signed up for a full day exploring Bosnia in Montenegro. Being dropped off at the airport was a bonus too. We never felt pressure to get things done, but we still achieved a lot. He was even able to introduce us to local guides who brought their home towns to life with their stories and good humour. Thank you for making this a unique experienceWritten October 30, 2024
- jennifercE5318NQ0 contributionsWe laughed and we learned! What a wonderful tour! Our guide, Miho, had us laughing from the minute he picked us up at our hotel! He is a wealth of knowledge and so interesting to listen to. We really felt like we learned so much about Croatia and its people, food, and wine. The views and sights on this tour are beautiful, even on an overcast day. We loved the selection of stops as well — such a great variety! Each place was so memorable in its own way. This tour was the last day of our trip and really capped it off perfectly. Thank you so much to Miho for a fantastic, fun day!Written October 30, 2024

- LeeGridley780 contributions3 Countries 3 wineries 1 day tour - absolutely unbelievable! We booked the 3 countries, 3 wineries tours from Dubrovnik. We were picked up by Miho on time and taken to our first stop at a 15ct monastery in Trebinje, Bosnia. The monastery and grounds weee beautiful and the wine was great. Our host really explained the ethos of the area and production of the wines. Best we travelled onto Kotor, Montenegro via a great vista for photographs of the bay. Savina Winery was excellent, with great local produce and wines. Again our host was very knowledgeable of the wines. Finally we travelled back into Croatia to the Dubravački Podrumi winery for some fantastic wines and local meats, cheeses, breads and olive oil. We were hosted by the wine maker, who really helped us understand the processes the use and the grapes contained in each wine. Miho our tour guide was excellent, really giving us an understanding of this beautiful region. We would 100% recommend and do this trip again. It was fantastic! živjeli!!Written October 26, 2024

Miho is one of the most impressive guides I've ever met, he is very friendly, knowledgeable, funny, and professional. He gave us lots of historical and cultural information and was more than happy to answer questions and gave us great recommendations. We had fantastic two days! - 104jefferys0 contributionsDay Trip From Dubrovnik to Montenegro and BosniaWe very quickly discovered that this entire day was going to be a "make or break" simply based upon our accompanying guide, driver, and now dear friend. Ivan very simply was the experience and made the entire trip one of the most memorable of our time in Croatia, Montenegro, and Bosnia. To begin the day, even evening before, the communication and arrangements were solid. Ivan quickly demonstrated flexibility and was willing to address his schedule to ours, and we desired to start early, very early. Ivan was immediately gracious and welcoming upon pick up at our hotel, and just as quickly put us at ease with meaningful conversation, thoughts, and suggestions. We had read up on the tour "path", but Ivan suggested his thoughts on alternatives that he felt from his experience would be more beneficial for our enjoyment and take advantage of the sites listed in the description. We placed our hands in his and said "let's go for it" and followed his direction. We could not have been more pleased. Out of the gate, Ivan suggested doing the tour in reverse order. Beginning with Montenegro in the morning. Take advantage of the morning lighter tourist traffic to "Our Lady of the Rocks". He was spot on and we thank him. Before entering into the Bay area of Kotor, Ivan stopped at this cliff side cafe. Our initial thought was quick pics and move along. We walked about briefly and Ivan encouraged us to enjoy a beverage and appetizer and relax in the view of the rising sun over the bay. OMG! We were so thankful for the encouragement and suggestion. We enjoyed a romantic glass of wine, beautiful views of the bay, Our Lady of the Rocks, and mountain side as the sun rose glistening across the bay. What a start and we were all smiles. We chatted and shared stories with Ivan all day and found him to be extremely knowledgeable across many more facets of life and way more than "just a tour guide for the day". Again, his sharing, knowledge and open approach were so refreshing and so welcomed, it was the dessert and the venues we saw the cherry on top. We hopped back in the car and just kept thanking him for the suggestion and pic opportunities. We made our way around the bay and to his friends that gave us a lift over to walk and visit "Our Lady of the Rocks". The beauty of the trip was we felt it was our schedule, our day, our leisure, and not stuck to a timed itinerary and we got in what we wanted in the manner we desired. After our leisure tour of the "The Lady", we returned and walked the area before rejoining Ivan. Needless to say, experiencing such venues are that much more memorable when you share them with someone special, as we walked hand in hand, we remarked to each other how fortune this day is taking shape with Ivan as our host. We came around the bay to Kotor where Ivan dropped us off, parked briefly and gave us a complete suggested walking tour for the city, specific churches, the wall, and how to return in a circle without doubling back. Needless to say we took his advice completely. Along our walk, found this cozy little jazz cafe, warm music, smaller courtyard setting, impeccable service, and had another local glass offering and just enjoyed the ambience and our own conversation. Now Ivan would have certainly joined us, but certain aspects of tour guides, locations, certifications, and such; limit when and where he may do so and the manner. He thoroughly prepped us and explained and time flew and we headed back to meet Ivan and continue on around the bay. Pulling over for another beautiful vista picture that he took for us. Needless to say these pics have now been popping up in our memories ever since on our phones and oh are they ever warm and loving memories, and we immediately think of Ivan for such a special day. We believe Ivan knows "everybody"! His friendly nature and demeanor shines and at all the border crossings across the trip, they were simply seamless and he shared smiles and laughs with all the agents. Even while in Bosnia, we came across an unexpected police inspection point, Ivan was cool, calm, and collected; and without incident we were on our way heading to Trebinje. Upon our arrival, we pulled into this quaint and warm little village pub completely rustic in its setting and the service was as friendly as one could imagine. The meal was HUGE and delicious! It was incredible and we were amazed at the quantity and value received for the price. We were stuffed for the final city tour and then later drive back to our hotel, for what had been a complete and fulfilling day and we deemed the experience worth every penny. Again, all the value we received we feel was because of Ivan. God Bless him, we are forever grateful for his time, and remain in contact via WhatsApp wishing him and his soon to be new bride our best. We thanked Ivan immensely before he departed, and consider him our good friend. This tour and his engagement was most definitely one of the highlights of our Trip. - SMPANDA1030 contributionsWaste of moneyWe booked the tour from Doria Ltd and the driver who took us on the tour was from another company. He didn't know our itinerary and was not very happy to take us to places as per the itinerary in our booking. We didn't get any guidance to visit Kotor Old City. We were told to collect the map and go on our own. We missed some spots as the road was flooded, which is of course no one's fault.Written October 12, 2024

If you are staying in Dubrovnik and have a day or two spare, I strongly recommend you arrange a tour of Mostar and Međugorje with Doria Ltd. They organized a fantastic trip. In preparation, they were very quick to respond to emails and offered advice and were willing to adjust the itinerary if necessary.
On the day itself, Doria Ltd. provided an excellent driver who was very friendly and accommodating for the duration of the trip. Enough time was given at Međugorje and later Mostar, with time at the latter for a lunch (not included). The day tour lasted 7-8 hours in total, including a break at the interesting old Turkish tour of Počitelj, and leaving enough time to settle back at the hotel for the evening.
To reiterate, this was an excellent excursion and I would arrange future tours from or around Croatia with Doria Ltd.

Hi Mike,
Thank you for your great review! I hope you walked to the top of Apparition Hill as this is what we suggest to all of our guests. It is a rather steep 20 min walk up the hill, but it is the ground zero of the Apparition in 1981.
Next time we should check out Korcula island, or perhaps Montenegro!? It would be our pleasure to take you!
All the best and take care!

We booked a full day tour of Mostar and the Kravica Waterfalls - our excellent guide Filip was an exceptional host and driver throughout. The car was large, modern and comfortable. Time between destinations flew by thanks to Filip's good conversation and excellent knowledge of the areas of the tour and complicated history.
Combining the Kravica waterfalls, Mostar (and we also stopped at Ston) made for a long day but was well worth it, to experience a very different culture to what you find in Croatia. I would recommend taking the tour company's advice and leaving very early in the morning to miss the crowds at the Kravica waterfalls, as they quickly become overrun with large tour buses/groups.

Highly recommend this tour company! Their pricing is a bit higher than competitors in the area, but I ultimately went with them because I wanted a smaller group (1 car) vs the big tour buses of the other companies. I read that customers were waiting hours for their tour bus to cross borders, but I didn't experience that at all with this company.
Pickup was smooth and on time, just a block away from my apartment. We left early to avoid traffic. My driver Mato was friendly, conversational, professional, and wore a mask the whole time. I felt very safe. My driver had great recommendations, excellent knowledge of the whole area, and was always flexible with the timing as it was just me, no other guests. He would say "let's plan to meet at the car in 3 hours, but don't worry if you want to take longer, I'll be here anyway." And that was amazing, because there is nothing worse as a tourist than feeling like you're being rushed along like cattle.
Mostar was such a quaint little town, beautiful buildings and river, but it was crowded and HOT. Very affordable, so if you want to do any shopping, this is a great opportunity. Most places only took cash, so keep that in mind. I was met by a local tour guide who was friendly and spoke English well, but the tour was very short (it's a small town, I guess) and I honestly don't even remember anything she told me. Just was an ok tour.
I also added on a visit to Kravica Waterfalls, and it was pretty but I regret not bringing a swimsuit. I'd recommend swimming there if you get the chance.
Overall, it was a fantastic day! Go with them, you won't regret it.

HI Joanne,
Thank you for this very detailed review! We are very glad that you had good time with your guide Mato. He is always very relaxed and does his best to maximize our guests' time and experience on our tours!
As for Kravice waterfalls, we always recommend people to bring a swim suit, even though water temperature can be really low (June-Sept the temp is ok).
We hope tohave you again as our guests! All the best!

We just came from a tour of Croatia with Trafalgar where our tour guide clearly explained the Yugoslav Wars. We thought the Mostar and Herzegovina/Medjugorje tour with Doria Ltd. will complement the Croatian trip well. That was an understatement.
Miho, our tour guide to Mostar, turned out to be a member of the Special Forces who fought to get 2/3 of Croatia back from Serbia in just 4 days! How the Croats did that is being studied in top military schools worldwide! His stories made all the history I learned come alive! Apart from being precise and on time, Miho also took care of us. When I text him that we are on our way to the van/meeting point earlier than usual, he'd go to the van ahead of us to turn the air condition on.
Thank you Miho for your service and for showing us the best of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina!

This was an incredible tour and a very professional tour agency. I would recommend using them for your time in Dubrovnik! They picked us up at the hotel and created a memorable day for us. Our guide Ivo was fantastic and there was a new guide learning the ropes with us that day. We were fortunate to have 2 different people to share stories with us. It was a mix of history, beautiful views and great food. It was worth every penny! We started with a quick stop in Ston and then drove to Kravice waterfalls, which was stunning. We saw so many things in a short time! Stopped in this really interesting village of Caplijina and then had the best lunch of our entire trip in Mostar!
Each part of the trip, I thought that it couldn't get better and yet it did! Ivo was a fantastic guide. This country has such an interesting mix of history and cultures. We ended up taking 2 tours with Dubrovnik Day tours and getting an airport transfer, too. From Josip in the main office answering my many questions to Milli to/from the airport to the guides, using this agency was the best money I spent on our trip! I also highly recommend the private tour because it was tailored to our interests and time.

Filip was our driver and guide for a full day private tour of Mostar, Kravica Waterfalls and the Buna river (Dervish house).
He was a very friendly and knowledgeable chap, arrived on time with a very clean car and was a very safe driver despite the torrential rain we experienced driving to the waterfalls from Dubrovnik. At the waterfalls he made sure we stayed as dry as possible and looked after us as the steep pathways were extremely wet and slippery!
We ate delicious local food in a restaurant Filip recommended in Mostar and he took some excellent photographs, he knows all the right spots!
A long but very enjoyable day trip to experience some of Bosnia's highlights and culture, well recommended.

My wife and I arranged a private day trip away from our group in Croatia in order to visit Mostar in Bosnia. I was interested in visiting Mostar, because it was in the region where my father’s brother, an American fighter pilot, was shot down and killed in 1944. We were driven to and from Mostar by guide Miho Budman who was extremely informative about Croatia as well as Bosnia and was a pleasure to be with. While in Mostar we spent an hour or so with a local guide, Mirna, who had some knowledge of the events of WW2 in the area. Mostar would have been fascinating for us even if we had not had our special family interest. Our entire trip in Croatia and Bosnia was expertly coordinated by Jen Radman of TrulyCroatia.

Thank you for sharing your heartfelt experience! We're honored that you chose to arrange a private day trip to Mostar, especially given its significance to your family history. It's wonderful to hear that Miho provided such informative and enjoyable guidance during your journey, and that Mirna added valuable context about the area’s WWII history. We’re thrilled that your visit was meaningfuland we hope to welcome you back for more memorable adventures in the future!

This was a great day trip to some beautiful places in Bosnia and Herzegovina! Unfortunately I did not catch the name of our guide, but he was nonetheless amazing. He had some great information about the places we went to, and provided insight into the life around the war for independence there. Our group also wanted to make a stop in Medugorje, and he was very accommodating for this (we went there instead of Blagaj). We never felt rushed at each stop and were able to see most everything we wanted. He recommended a local restaurant in Mostar that was delicious! I wish we had had more time to explore this beautiful country, but if you only have a day to see it, this is an ideal trip!

Our excursion to Mostar and Kravica waterfalls was a real highlight during our Dubrovnik visit. The driver made all the difference. Mladen spoke English very well and was able to explain the history and current events not only of our destinations but also the surrounding areas. He was very responsive to our requests, knew the shortcuts to avoid getting caught in traffic, and brought us to an excellent restaurant in Mostar. He was the perfect guide for our family of four.
