About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Nestor M0 contributions4 countries in 10 daysOur family had an excellent time with Robert for the whole private tour. After the first hotel , we were booked by Zico tours in hotels with very good locations and facilities . They reply quickly. Unlike the other European counties we have visited, it was our first time to travel to Croatia but it will definitely not be our last with very friendly guide and safe diver like Roby.Written October 29, 2024
- Alan L0 contributionsFantastic Tour Experience with Zico ToursWe recently returned from a private 12-day tour of Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia, and Montenegro, organized by Zico Tours. We have a great time and enjoyed ourselves very much. The driver and guide, Robert, was fantastic, and we enjoyed his mini-entertainment and knowlegde sharing throughout the trip. He is very experience and knowledgeable. Probably one of the best guide we ever had. Would also like to thank Annamaria from Zico Tours for doing a fantastic job customising the itinerary to suit our interests, as well as local guides Dina in Pula, Ina in Split, Dino in Mostar and Dubravka in Dobrovnik.Written October 7, 2024
- H7768UIshannonl0 contributionsGreat day excursion from Zagreb! This was a great excursion from Zagreb. We had our tour guide, Ned, all to ourselves. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We highly recommend this day trip. Be prepared: you will likely be gone for a full 12 hours. Take your passports as Slovenia can be unpredictable at the border. (We were lucky and sailed through.) Ljubljana is a charming town and Postojna Caves were jaw-dropping. (You'll need a light jacket down there as it gets to 10 degrees C.) There is lots of time to grab lunch or coffee as you wish. We were picked up from our hotel (recommend Hotel Capital in Zagreb) and were driven in a Mercedes Van that was uber comfortable. EnjoyWritten August 18, 2024

- sixamigos0 contributionsDefinitely do this tour and do it with Zico ToursWhat a magnificent tour this was. Zico Tours went above and beyond during our booking process and we can't thank Annamaria enough for all her outstanding help. We even changed the date at the last minute due to inclement weather and Annamaria organised everything. Robert our tour guide was extremely friendly, courteous and a wealth of knowledge. He gave us time to explore on our own as well as take us on a trek around the lake and then the boat ride back. When it rained he even pulled out ponchos for us to wear. What an incredible day this was. The lakes are absolutely beautiful as is Rastoke village. You must do this tour and do it with Zico Tours, they are very professional and helpful.Written May 28, 2024

He provide us with water for our trip and even add some chocolate. The only time we were on our own was when we had lunch. Which by the was great as well. Sat outside looking out at the awesome ocean view. Would highly recommend and hope you get Ned as your guide.Written May 10, 2024
- kemoore830 contributionsMay 2023 TripThis is a long overdue review of Zico Tours. Croatia had been on our travel list for a while but I was really struggling figuring out a proper itinerary myself. I stumbled upon Zico while poking around google and I’m so glad I found them! Adam put together a perfect trip. Just the right amount of time at each stop. (Although I think we would have stayed in Zadar a second night and removed a night from Split - but that is completely hindsight.) Our tour guide for the first part of our trip was Hrvoje. He is just an all around great person. Very chilled out and super smart. We learned so much from him and were incredibly lucky to have him as a guide. He happily drove out of the way to an old Knights Templar property (now just ruins). I feel like a lot of guides might have rushed through this but he seemed just as excited to be there as we were. He’s also excellent at snapping pictures! I also have to shout out Ned who picked us up from the and oriented us around Zagreb on the way to the hotel. And Robert who was our guide during a day trip to Montenegro. Everyone affiliated with Zico was excellent at their jobs and just great people to be around. All in all, highly recommend if you are also struggling with a Croatian itinerary.Written October 28, 2023
- ghallowell0 contributionsCastle was a quiet and great place to visitReally enjoyed visiting the castle and was great to see the artefacts and views. Wasn’t too busy which made it a very nice experience. Enjoyed seeing Varozdin- perhaps had less purpose and we didn’t get too much info about the town. Needed either more or less time here. Did stop at a very nice restaurant for lunch (extra to the tour). Would have been good to have been in a car with AC - got hot on the way home.Written October 11, 2023
- ghallowell0 contributionsTrip to the lakes a must-see in CroatiaFantastic day- so beautiful. Day started well with a fantastic driver Kruno who got us to the lakes. Nicola was a great guide at the lakes. This site was busy but definitely worth visiting both upper and lower lakes. Can highly recommendWritten October 11, 2023
- ghallowell0 contributionsFantastic day overview of Slovenia with an amazing guideNed made this trip so special. We fitted in three amazing stops that didn’t feel at all rushed and allowed us to see lots of Slovenia. The caves were awesome and definitely one of my favourite places to visit. Bled castle and lake were beautiful as was Lubiljana. Can highly recommend- would have been very sad to have missed the lakes- few companies go to all three places in one day.Written October 11, 2023

- Genady B0 contributionsCastleThe tour is so good as simple. Meeting point was at city center Zagreb, easy to find, but we late despite it. The guide was so kind and wait us for 15 minutes. A plus for those who is so bad in topology. Castle klimb was not too difficult, but still need to wear good shoes for gravy path. Dinner was in a reastaurant. Delicious more than expected. Thanks to Ned.Written September 3, 2023
- Julie J0 contributionsEnjoyable and insightful tour.Great guide. We were lucky enough to have the tour to ourselves and were given great flexibility on where and what we wanted to see. We covered a lot of the different areas of Zagreb and it’s history. Highly recommended.Written August 22, 2023
- roxydeleon0 contributionsCroatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and MontenegroWe had an exceptional experience, Adam made us everything easy sending Robbie with us. Robbie chose the best tour guide in town. We had a private tour starting at Zagreb and ending at Dubrovnik. I recommend them 100%.Written August 15, 2023
- Angelo Z0 contributionsTwo Great Days of Sightseeing in CroatiaI booked Zico tours for a city tour of Zagreb and also a tour of Lake Bled/Ljubiana both in late June 2023. The tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, both local experts. As a result I think I saw, learned and enjoyed these destinations more than anticipated. And because the tours were private, me and two friends, I am convinced it was a much more worthwhile experience than had I booked with a large group. I would highly recommend Zico.Written August 9, 2023
