Tom is THE GUY if you want someone that is extremely personable, knowledgable and knows Dubrovnik inside and out. He goes out of his way to make sure you are well taken care of with anything you may need. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

The tour was fantastic. Tom was filled with interesting information about the history of Dubrovnik and all of the buildings. He also had great advice about what to do and what restaurants to try and the best place to watch the sunset.

We were family of 7 with 5 young adults/GOT fans. Tom was able to keep all 7 of us interested..starting with a clean private vehicle taking us to overlook Dubrovnik to a wonderful walking tour of Old Town! Navigated the crowds so we made the most of our morning. Perfect English. Great quick local lunch suggestion. Since he wasn’t available for a full day, he made sure he found us a well experienced colleague for us to continue our 1 day in Croatia in the countryside. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I arranged a tour with Tom, sorta last minute. We have never visited Drobrovnik and were excited to see all the history, GOT, sites etc. Tom was wonderful. We were Tom's 2nd tour of the day but you wouldn't have known it. He has so much energy and knowledge. We asked him for a lunch recommendation within the walls, which was great. The tour was phenomenal. We got to see things within the walls that the cruise passengers never do! Tom is a great ambassador for Dubrovnik and the area. Highly recommend his tour!

We had a great day touring with Tom Matana. Tom spoke English very well and provided full descriptions of all the places we visited which included most of the G of T film locations. Highly recommend Tom’s tour especially if you are a GOT fan.

The Guide was witty and friendly and encouraged questions all along the way. He shared his knowledge of local history back to the times of the Romans and Medieval times, as well as recent history of this part of the world including the war in the 1990’s. He is knowledgeable about the fabulous wines of Croatia, and local cuisine. He shared tidbits about the making of Game of Thrones, and great photos of local streets, harbor scenes, and buildings of the city where the filming took place. We came away with a rich exposure to the local area and its people. His personal charm and experience helped make our travels with him smooth with a minimum of delays. And that’s worth a lot!

Tom is a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable and a pleasure to tour with. I watched the whole GOT series and it was fun to see where things were filmed. He had pictures from the movie to show us when we were at the locations they were filmed. Importantly, he had special ear pieces for us all to wear so we could all hear him properly. It greatly enhanced our experience and we didn’t miss any of his fascinating information. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Tom!

It was a wonderful and personalized tour. We were able to see things that other tours cannot provide. Tom had such wonderful connections with local vendors and staff within the walls that we were able to learn more and experience more. I highly recommend this tour and with Tom. We enjoyed not being part of a large crowd and getting to see some of the behind the scenes aspects.

My husband and I are huge GOT fans and were very excited for this tour. Tom did not disappoint! Tom speaks excellent English, and took us to many out-of-the-way places where there were hardly any tourists which was really nice. Highly recommend Tom and this tour.

Our guide Tom was very knowledgable as well as having a great sense of humour. He didn’t only focus on GOT but also threw in some local history to make it interesting. The test for me with a guided tour is always how the teenagers (who are not easily impressed 😄) enjoy it, and they loved it - well done Tom!

Tom was an amazing tour guide from start to finish, we had to change the time of our booking and he was more than accommodating and worked with us on a time. The tour was extremely detailed and made us really feel like we were in the show. I can’t recommend Tom highly enough, if you want to do a game of thrones tour then he is your man! He grew up in Dubrovnik so was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to answer every question we had in so much detail.

Our Game of Thrones tour was excellent. Tom took us to numerous sites, was extremely knowledgeable about the area and production, and provided digital photos comparing the location to the series scenes. He also shared information about local culture and history which added to the experience. Tom was most helpful in fitting the Game of Thrones tour into our tight schedule. I would highly recommend this tour to any GOT fan.

The GoT tour was beyond amazing. Even though half of our group has never seen it, Tom created a terrific experience for everyone. Intertwined with GoT information and showing us scenes from the show, Tom was able to give us an in depth look into the history of Dubrovnik. On top of all of that, once he knew about our travels through the rest of Croatia, he provided us additional filming locations that were outside of Dubrovnik to go check out. His great personality, coupled with humor and wit left us with wonderful memories of our time in Croatia. Ps. Since his tour, those that have never seen the show are now watching and those that have seen it are rewatching as well.

Thomas was an amazing guide. My husband and I scheduled a morning tour of Dubrovnik’s old city. Thomas was extremely knowledgeable about so many things- history, culture, sociology, religion etc. his style is warm and relaxed and when we parted, early in the afternoon, we hugged. Covid notwithstanding. I recommend him highly and wish he’d be available at other locals i hope to visit.

Three of us took the private King's Landing Tour ( approximately 5 hours). Tom was a great fan of GoT and showed us not only where the show was filmed but gave us an interesting history of Dubrovnik. His enthusiasm for the material was infectious. He picked us up from our hotel and we were all disappointed for the tour to end. He gave us some sights to visit on our own. He was very patient while we took our photos. We spent a week in Croatia and took many tours and his was by far the very best!
