- mattdA3169MV00Great Day ExploringIt was very personal. Our guide was informative and kind. We loved the families that own all olive oil, winery and oyster/mussel farms. Would recommend.
- Corkykac00Maris and Dubrovnik Food Tours was wonderful! Our group of ten spent a full day touring outside Dubrovnik with Maris. She was an excellent English speaking guide. Our bus driver was personable as well. We visited a farmhouse, learning about olive oil making and had a wonderful light meal of homemade cheeses and proscuitto with local wine. Then on to the oyster farm where we slurped fresh oysters and enjoyed sauvignon blanc. We ended the day with a stop at two local wineries. All around, a wonderful way to spend a day and experience Croatia's gourmet delights.
- Sightseer73535500Konavle Valley TourWe took the Konavle Valley Tour through the countryside, visiting an olive oil farm, lunch by the river/waterfalls and visitingb a winery. It was the BEST tour we had on our 2 week trip to Croatia! Our driver and guide were friendly and knowledgeable. WE came back to our innn very full and happy! Generous portions of deleicious food and wine at each stop! We are looking forward to retruning to Croatia and touring with Dubrovinik Food Tours.
- 202nialld00July 2022We had the most perfect day with Maro visiting the various sites around Lopud and the surrounding islands. We were a group of 2 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 under 12. All agreed it was the best day of our Croatian holiday. Superb food, excellent local knowledge, assistance for the less confident swimmers in the group. The Blue Cave was amazing snorkelling off the boat in clear seas full of fish was even better. We will be back for more.
- clarehQ7720YK00One of the highlights of our holiday! We had a delightful time on this day-long tour. At each stop, you learn a bit about how something is produced - and then you get to sample the product. Our driver-guide was terrific, all the produce-makers were really knowledgable and welcoming, and of course, we got taste lots of delicious food and drink. We did the itinerary in a slightly different order to the one advertised, starting with the farm visit, then the oyster-boat ride from Mali Ston, then Ston, then one of the vineyards. Highlights for us were the very generous and tasty snack/lunch at the farm (bring cash so you can buy their lovely olive oil and other products) and the oyster-boat trip, and we're saving our last bottle from the vineyard for a special occasion.
- Carldesigns00Boat trip with MaroPart of the Dubrovnik food tours is a boat tour with Maro. We were a group of six that went on his boat with him touring different locations off shore. He was very welcoming and fun to spend the day touring around. He also made us a fresh clam dish and oysters right from the Adriatic Sea on his boat. His was alos very informative on other things to do around Croatia, since we were traveling to many parts of the country. I would highly recommend getting a tour with Maro.
- BRH-80800Highlight of our trip to Cavtat, make it yours too! After a short Uber ride from our Cavtat hotel to the marina where we meet up with Maro, we hopped onboard for our adventure. We spent the day (plus some bonus hours) swimming, listening to music, sipping Rosè and eating delicious seafood prepared by our captain. Since I love to cook, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Maro prepare our late lunch. Raw oysters as an appetizer, and Mussels in a scrumptious broth with baby red snapper exceeded my expectations. I was able to obtain the secret recipe. ;) Such a wonderful day spent with friends and family and a memory that we will always treasure. Thank you Maro ! xoxoxo Beth
- brookeh14600An experience to remember foreverWe took a boat out on the morning of August 23rd and this was the best day of our whole trip in Croatia. What a unique and special way to see the Adriatic Sea, the best beaches, swimming spots and experience the best food we had the whole trip! My favorite swimming spot was the green caves that our tour guide Maro took us into and made us feel completely comfortable. From the moment we stepped onto the boat he made us feel like family and offered us delicious wine and local cheese, later on the back of the boat we got to watch him shuck fresh oysters with fresh lemon, more wine and swimming and then the preparation of our meal which was fresh mussels, fish and shrimp in the most amazing tomato, garlic broth!! With great bread and more wine — would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting, it made our trip! Thank you Maro, we will see you again hopefully soon!!
- Experience60252700Incredible dayThis tour was beautifully executed. The driver was delightful. He dropped us at a 250 year old olive oil making mill with a full explanation of the history of the area and the residents. Next we moved on to the family home, where the local couple sat with us after serving fresh vegetables from their garden with some wine for lunch. We then drove to a winery and had a sampling or 6. The end of the tour was us taking a boat ride to a platform to have lunch of freshly farmed oysters and mussels. It was the best experience I had in Dubrovnik on vacation!
- V1469VImattd00Fun on the high seas, great foidRelaxing fun with a convivial host . We were well looked after, from the first slug of grappa to the last sip of wine. If you want a memorable day filled with personality over flashiness- this could be for you.
- Moncy201500Eat with LocalsI had so many great experiences during my visit to Dubrovnik but the one I talk about the most was my experience with “Eat with Locals” . Thank you Hama for introducing me to the Papak family. Thank you Marija and Zlatko for your hospitality and the delicious feast you prepared. Best lamb I ever had and the plum dessert was amazingly delicious. You can tell how much love and pride they spent to prepare the food. From the sumptuous appetizers, peko , wine and great company with the other guests Joel and Anne. You really get to know the country, culture and people more when you spend time with the locals. Hama – thank you for your professionalism, you responded to all my queries within a few minutes. Marija and Zlatko – I cannot thank you enough, feels like I always have a family to go to when I visit Croatia again. Marija - I still want your dessert recipe😊
- 212MarkS00Tantalizing Food TourWe had the best time with Marina our guide on this food tour. She was so personable and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the city and its history as well as the food and wine. The food was delicious and the wine divine. After the official tour we asked her to help us buy jewelry and art work which she so nicely did. We highly recommend this tour with Marina!!
- meesh237100Second Time even better than the FirstI thought the first time I went with Dubrovnik Food Tours was incredible, the second time exceeded that. The boat excursion was beyond a blast. Thank you Maro for tripling our time we had before. I couldn't have imagined spending a better day. I swam all over the coast and into some beautiful caves with friends from the States. We drank, we swam, we ate the best mussels and oysters prepared by the most amazing chef and captain of our sea odyssey. Yes it is more money than most tours but worth every penny and then some. If you are going to do one thing in Dubrovnik, this should be it. Thank you Maro!!!
- Passport72837300Absolutely FantasticWe had an amazing day with the Dubrovnik food tours team, they were so lovely, the food was amazing, so was the wine and we had so much fun! 5 Stars, Brilliant!
- Victoria R00Two Amazing Tours with Dubrovnik Food ToursWe did two tours with Dubrovnik Food Tours and wish we had time to do more. Our first day was their Culinary Boat Tour. That was a fantastic day on a boat eating delicious food, swimming, soaking up the sun, and seeing beautiful sights with Hamo and Maro. Maro was our skipper, chef, swim instructor and entertainer and he was a pro at everything. We had delicious fresh oysters and an amazing mussels dish that was fabulous. Hamo is the owner/operator of the company and is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. One of my favorite days ever! The next evening we did Hamo's "Eat with Locals" tour. We spent a fantastic evening with Marija and her delightful family. We started with a fabulous charcuterie board with the best prosciutto I have ever had, wonderful cheeses, homemade wines and delicious homemade bread. I ate way too much and regretted it when we got to the extraordinary maincourse. Peka is a traditional Croatian dish cooked in a pan that is covered with a bell then covered in hot ashes. Marija makes it with lamb and I don't know if the lamb or the potatoes was the star of this dish. Both were so good, I ate until I thought I would burst. Marija's mad cooking stills are world renown as was written up a couple of time in National Geographic. Despite being full to the point of pain, I still managed to eat some of her delicious creamy dessert and fruit at the end of the meal. Fantastic! I can't wait to go back and do both tours again. They didn't feel like tours though. Both experiences were just like hanging out with great friends, enjoying time together, and eating fantastic food. Excellent!

We had the good fortune to find Dubrovnik Food Tours on the web in 2020 when we first planned to travel to Croatia, Unfortunately, like many people, we had to postpone the trip. Dubrovnik Food Tours was very gracious in allowing us to reschedule 24 months later. Last night we spent an amazing 4 hours with Goran. He was an outstanding host for the evening, sharing stories about growing up in Croatia, taking us to two outstanding restaurants, a wine tasting and delicious Gelato. The three couples on the tour all from different places were made to feel like family. Goran's tour of the various streets, points of interest and history of the City gave all of us a deeper appreciation and understanding of Dubrovnik.
I would highly recommend the food tour and if you go, be sure to ask for Goran

Extremely disappointing - visited 2 restaurants, a wine shop and an ice cream parlour. Very little information about the food and wine, and both were very ordinary bordering on dull. Overcooked tuna steak paired with black risotto was not a good combination. No attempt at wine pairing. No bars visited. No guidance on where to visit for a good food experience. Honestly not worth the money - I genuinely can’t figure out why this is reviewed so highly on TripAdviser 🤷

My husband and I love to travel and what better way to experience a different country than to go on a food tour. We booked this tour directly from their website and received a confirmation right away. We arrived in Dubrovnik on a Thursday afternoon and we booked this tour for Friday at 10:00am.
Our tour guides name was Goron and he was both friendly and on time. On the tour with us were two young women who live in Dubrovnik and a family of four from the UK. It was perfect in size so we were able to talk with one another. I always say that the best tour is the one where you laugh and just enjoy everyone’s company. This tour did not disappoint.
We first stopped at a bistro where there was a reserved spot for us to sit outside. We enjoyed a charcuterie plate with meats, cheeses, tapenade, hummus, olives, bread, and anchovies. There was olive oil on the table and endless glasses of white wine. It was a terrific start of the tour.
The second stop was a nearby restaurant where we first enjoyed fresh bread with baba ghanoush, arugula, tomato, and a sardine. We then were plated cuttle fish risotto, tuna, and guacamole. Lots of fresh cold water and white wine was poured at the restaurant. Everything was great.
Next, we went to a wine shop and while having a tasting of red and white wines, we learned all about Croatian wine.
Goron walked us around and shared some interesting stories and history about Old Town. We then had some amazing gelato and said goodbye to the group.
This was such a fun great way to start our vacation. Not only should you book this tour, but specifically request Goron as your tour guide. His personality, along with the group itself, truly made this tour memorable for us.

Great tour of Old Town! It was fun to sample different food within the walls and hear about the Old City's history. Goran was a fantastic guide and could weigh in with personal experience, having grown up and still living within the walls as a resident of the Old City. The food was excellent, as was the wine sampled. Highly recommend this tour if looking for a way to fill your belly and hear about the city and get in a little exercise.

Four of us joined 6 other people for an absolutely great evening.
Gorvan host guide was born and still lives in the city, and his passion, knowledge and friendly approach made the evening.
We visited several different restaurants, had a wine tasting and visited a lovely souvenir shop and ice cream parlour.
Our walking tour took us around many parts of the old city, so I really think you do not have to book any other tour of the city.
It was a lovely evening with lots of jokes and banter along the way.
One of our party did not like fish and the restaurant changed it for a beef dish.
Would definitely recommend this tour.

Words cannot express how utterly delightful our tour with Goran, our guide, turned out to be! We had originally scheduled the Konavale tour for the day, but the weather was not in our favour, so we joined another couple in the evening for the food tour. We are so very glad we did! Goran led us to a variety of restaurants specialising in traditional food and wine. Every dish was magnificently prepared and Goran gave the history and mystery behind each offering. His attentiveness to our small group and his tailoring of tales made it a unique and personal experience. Goran’s love of his city, the history, culture and food of Croatia added flavour equalled by the dishes we experienced on the tour.

I always take a food tour when traveling and this was the best food tour I’ve ever had!!! My mom and I came to Croatia and the tour guide Goran was the absolute best!! He was very knowledgeable about the local food and gave us a true inside look into Croatian culture. I also have never eaten so much food or had so much wine on a food tour. Most food tours usually skimp on the portions and give 1 drink—but not this! There was so much food and wine to go around, it felt like we were enjoying a family feast! We left happily stuffed and even made new friends on the tour!
It truly was the highlight of our trip. I can’t say this enough. Highly recommend doing this tour on your first day/night as it helped us determine what we wanted to eat in Old Town for the rest of the trip. Book it, you won’t regret it!

This about the fourth food tour I have done with Dubrovnik Food Tours. Each time I bring someone new to Dubrovnik and start here. It is a great way to meet new people and explore Old Town. Every time I learn something new and my guests are always impressed. If you like to enjoy food, meet new people, this is the way to go. Goran was the perfect guide bringing a new perspective on Dubrovnik Remember with any tour, if you bring good energy to the table you will get good energy in return. Highly Recommend. "Food is everything we are. It's an extension of nationalist feeling, ethnic feeling, your personal history, your province, your region, your tribe, your grandma. It's inseparable from those from the get-go." Anthony Bourdain

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our food, wine and tour of Old Town Dubrovnik. Our Host met us promptly at the specified time, however the other two people who had signed up were a no-show. We waited for about 20 minutes and proceeded with our tour. We enjoyed the information and conversation our guide provided. The food at our first stop was a tasty assortment of cheeses, breads and meats with a nice wine. We also enjoyed a main course at another quaint restaurant, and a personal wine tasting. Finally our dessert at the Arsenal, a beautiful spacious restaurant inside an old armory at the harbor, was the cherry on top. As we walked we learned interesting history snippets of this ancient city.

Simply the best! Goran, our native guide, took us through the culinary maze of Dubrovnik to make sure we tasted and experienced the best this ancient city has to offer. Goran treated us like family as we enjoyed every treat he brought us to from the coffee shop where the locals hang to the peak of culinary delights of local chefs. Do this tour day one and learn the best places to eat and visit and get a locals view of the rich history of the people of this magical place.
