- dpostetter00Great stop on route from Split to ZagrebGood stop between Split and Zagreb - had a very good lunch at the lodge (validated our parking!) just inside "Entrance 1" then spent 90 minutes hiking the waterfalls trails. Depending on the trail you choose, you can spend 1-4 hours hiking - though just past the entrance provides one of the best vistas. Great views and too many waterfalls to count - beautiful!
- kimwY5196MA00Brilliant dayBrilliant day trip to rovinj to start, in which Phillip our tour guide gave us plenty of info through out the day, surprising dinner where everyone one got together for drinks and a chat then set off to pula amphitheatre, I thought it was amazing as I haven’t been to one before so highly recommended, really enjoyed our day :)
- johnrA2615ZR00Disappointing Tui Trip to MostarTui trip from Kalamato Hotel Kolocep. 6.35 ferry and rep was late as presumably she had tracked ferry using an app - but then wouldn't we all have liked another 10 mins in bed! Told it was 3 hr coach journey with arrival in Mostar between 11 and 11.30 and this confirmed by guide as we boarded coach at 7,30. 5 other pickups later we finally left Dubrovnik area at 9.15 and arrived Mostar at 12.30. So now we are late and waited 15mins at one of stops on tour of Mostar as we were late to enter Mosque. Yes, we had full 3 hrs in Mostar, supposedly 1hr walking tour and 2 hr free time but by nearly 2pm we gave up and left tour for lunch and time for us to look around. I really enjoyed Mostar, my wife less so. Trip back had 2 very truncated stops as there was likelihood we would miss last (8pm) ferry back to Kolocep altho'tour company had plan for a charter boat. In the end the altereddropoffs so took us to harbour before dropping others at their hotels in Dubrovnik. Arrived at ferry terminal just after 7.30pm, 4 hrs after leaving g Mostar. So we spent 9 hrs on coach - NOT the 6 hrs we had been told - for 3 hrs in Mostar; definitely NOT worth it. And NO, it was the border crossings that were the issue, the issue was multiple pick ups in Dubrovnik. All-in-all a most unsatisfactory and disappointing trip, and the rep I spoke to about it the morning g after seemed unsurprised and unconcerned. BEWARE!
- mommamert00Loved PlitviceSo beautiful. Really breathtaking. Went early to beat the crowds and purchased the tickets ahead of time which contributed to making it a delightful experience
- Anita M00StunningMore beautiful than any picture I've ever seen. It was the hottest day, so we took our time. It was busy, but didn't feel busy or crowded.
- jackiemY7710HT00Plitvice is breathtaking! What breathtaking views! Mother Nature is spectacular. The only thing I would do differently is not go in August.
- Leslie W00Absolutely gorgeous, waterfalls everywhereAmazing to see so many waterfalls in one place. Tho its disappointing not to be able to swim here, i'm glad they are protecting this beautiful site. Its quite pristine, water is so clear you can see the fish, boardwalks are well maintained, foliage is cut back to keep the pathways and viewing clear. I'd recommend getting an early morning time slot so its a bit less crowded. Boat rides and buses are efficient, and there's a lot of route options that let you see the views but can accomodate people that may not want to walk as much. Highly recommend. We booked ahead since it was likely to sell out, and sure enough when we were there at 9am, the next available opening was 1pm. Not sure you'd get to see what you'd want to see if you went at 1, especially if you wanted to walk more.
- 177PeterS17700A fairly entertaining afternoonA fun trip round three local vineyards plus a mill. Pretty basic in terms of wine info shared, and modest amount of wine on offer too. The road train was good fun and it was a pleasant afternoon of sightseeing. Could have hoped for more info on the wine, or a greater variety of wines.
- Chogg000What could be better than good wine, beautiful scenery and the cutest wee yellow train? We had such a lovely time on this cute little wine train. The first winery we stopped at was Brajkovic Winery which had the best red wine we've had in Croatia, we had to buy 2 bottles to take home with us, although one didn't last the journey... The train takes takes you around the beautiful countryside and the tour is a lovely mixture of gorgeous scenery, delicious wine and sandwiches as well as local guides knowledge of the history of the area. We also found the driver to be very accommodating. We were staying locally so vouched for getting to the first location by bike. The driver of the coach made arrangements for us to be taken back to our accommodation via the wonderful yellow train and we would pick up our bike the following day. Such a lovely way to spend a Saturday afternoon 😊
- 123JacquiB00It is not worth the hours spent on the coachThis trip was sold to us as a pleasant day out on a boat. We Initially spent 5 hours on a coach. Around 3 of those at the border queuing. The coach had no toilet facilities and people were nipping behind bushes at the side of the road to relieve themselves. While queuing the tour quite asked us to vote on still trying to get on the boat or to stay on the coach for the rest of the day. Needless to say we all wanted to go on the boat trip. When we got into Montenegro our boat wasn't there and we were not told what was going on. After around 20 mins we walked along the side of a busy road (no pavement) to the boat that was just arriving. The boat itself was really nice and we did manage to visit the church and had just over a hour in Kotor followed by a nice boat ride back to the coach. We then had around another 3 hours on the coach back to the hotel. The tour guide may have been very knowledgeable, but we could barely hear her on the coach. We did let her know, but this did not seem to help. Overall the coach journey and border crossing ruined this day.
- 89nikkip00Pula day trip with lunchGreat day trip With lunch. Nice comfortable air conditioned coach. Guide spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious and lots of it. Very accommodating as we had a vegetarian and lactose intolerance in our group. Beautiful town. Would recommend, good value for money
- 02Kate1700Excellent sunset cruise well worth the moneyVery much worth the value. Beautiful views, with plenty of space to move about. The drinks included were served very generously. I was a little worried because of the lack of reviews, but I’m very glad we went ahead and booked it anyway. I went with a small group of friends and everybody had an excellent time
- magmurph00Rude guideThe trip was advertised as 6 hours. Half of this was collecting and dropping off passengers. The driver took phone calls, not hands free. And also the guide told the whole bus we were running late due to individual people, berating them publicly when they joined the tour later. Quite telling that nobody tipped the guide at the end. Given the price we had expected more wine samples, generally not generous. Would have swapped the stop at the flour mill for another winery. But train driver very helpful and the setting was beautiful.
- huntejk00Beautiful views, interesting historyGot an understanding of the Frankopans while touring the castle. It's in very good shape and great views from the walls.
- bestsZagreb00colorful and enormousvery nice and interesting folk show immediately after the mass in the village church on sunday including welcome drink

No point pre buying your ticket, it is a hassle exchanging voucher for a ticket with no clear indication where to do it and there a ticket offices readily available with no ques and the same price. Definatly a must do in Dubrovnik but buy the ticket when your there. DISCLAIMER we went early morning in September, may be different during summer holidays.

This is kind of the obligatory activity for a stay in Dubrovnik, however it’s worth it if you time it well.
The walls are pretty exposed and the weather is more than often glorious and sunny, meaning it can get pretty hot up there and during the peak tourist season it could be pretty uncomfortable. We visited after the peak sunshine and outside of the high season (we went mid September) so there was plenty of space and it was a comfortable heat for what amounts to quite a long walk round (the walls are one way only and there are only a couple of places to get off)
The views are of course fantastic be it across the Adriatic towards the national reserve island of Lokrum, or inwards across the tiled undulations of the medieval city roof line punctuated with the lofty bell towers and domed cathedral spires that give Dubrovnik old town its unique aspect.

Me and my wife took a boat ride to reach Dubrovnik and when we got there it was really amazing. Thought the actual town was bigger so you can easily tour around it in a couple of hours, definitely worth a visit but unfortunately and to our surprise, if you want to walk along the walls of the town then you have to pay extra, which I feel is a bit of a rip off, at £25 per person that’s really expensive and considering the amount of tourist that visit it , I think that if they really must charge people then they could have reduced the price, I mean immagine if there’s a few of you . Definitely not worth the extra money

You must be aware that you have to print out the ticket. Ridiculous in this day and age. It seems to be the same thing for bus tickets in Dubrovnik too. Impossible to find the machine or sellers to obtain them. When will this tourism industry catch up with mobile phone technology? The best option is to get up at the crack of dawn to purchase at the gate and promenade the walls like a demented sleep walker. Not sure if this is worthwhile.

Cheap price to enter and a great area to explore. Amazing views of the old town below and various towers to climb. We chose not to go for a guide as you get a leaflet with some of the key sights and I think we made the right decision. You need to visit early in the morning as it gets extremely busy and also scorching hot. There is little shade so be sure to bring lots of water. Once you enter the walls you cannot leave and come back in. It is a great thing to do as it really lets you appreciate the beauty of Dubrovnik old town. We highly recommend it.

Start early as it gets hot and crowded particularly in the summer months. Good perspective of the old town and beautifully
restored and maintained. The walk is one directional so decide where you want to get off as there is no circling back. The ticket price is also included in come of the other waking tours so let the guide know if you’ve paid for this.

I was a bit dubious at the start as we had already spent 3 days in the city and I was not sure the walls would offer a very different perspective. How wrong was I!!! We had a great walk around the Old Town and the views are exceptional! Make sure you bring a hat, a lot of water, good shoes and sun-cream with you as it gets really hot! There is a lovely bar overlooking Lokrum and the Fort (very nice staff and decent prices for the location).
You have a 40% discount on the Walls tour if you visited Fort Lovrijenac so well worth it!

If you already got there I think is a must to walk the walls. My mom was not able to do it because she was 80 and it was too much for her knees. But the rest of the family enjoyed it. The views are ammazing even it was extremely hot. Bring your own water cause its expensive to get something in there. Ther is a couple of museums inside...take your time to visit.

The wall tour is a most for anyone visiting this beautiful city. I would suggest to anyone going on wall tour to take a water bottle and lots of photographs. The best photos of the city landscape can be made from the wall. Be careful to wear comfortable shoes and flip flops.

Hi, no, sorry but depending on when you are going, it may not be necessary to prepurchase. We were there last week, and if you go early which I would recommend to beat the tour groups and heat,, there won’t be a queue, It opens at 8am which is when we got there and there was only one other person at PloceGate entrance. Allow a bit over two hours to complete the wall. If you are going in high season it may be a different matter
