      Fantastic Experience.
We did 2 day tours with Adriatic Kayak tours with Kayak guide Mislav. Mislav was professional, friendly and went out of his way to ensure we had 2 great days of kayaking. "if you Kayak with him, make sure he shows you his amazing parkour skills" I would highly recommend both trips. Kolocep and Lopud/Sipan. Beautiful scenery, water and caves. Would highly recommend thankyou

Fantastic family trip kayaking round the beautiful Elafiti Islands
We did the full week kayak tour of the Elafiti Islands, based out of Lopud Island which included kayaking round Kolocep, over to Trsteno gardens and 2 separate trips to Sipan. We went as a family of 6 (2 adults and kids aged 12 to 19) and had a brilliant time. The whole trip was really well organised and our guide (Ivan) was super from start to finish. The scenery, beaches and water were beautiful and for us there was a great balance between activity and relaxation. Given the extreme weather this summer, we were lucky to have 5 days of calm water and warm sunshine to kayak and swim in. The trip had so many highlights, but everyone loved floating in the Green cave, watching the sunset from Lopud fort and cycling across Sipan to yet another lovely lunch. Thanks Ivan and the team!

      Cool off with Kayaking!
Sea Kayaking with Mislav from Adriatic Kayak Adventures was one of the highlights of our trip to Dubrovnik. Mislav led a relaxing and refreshing adventure as we explored various caves and stopped at a beach to swim (and cool off!) in the beautiful Adriatic. My husband even did an exhilarating cliff jump. Mislav took lots of pictures and videos for us so that we could thoroughly just relax and enjoy the afternoon.

Group of 9 paddle around Lopud
We were on the 4 day paddle off Lopud. Our guide was excellent. Ivan. Really took care of us. The reason for not giving a 5 star was the kayaking equipment. It was obvious it needed TLC. One boat leaked, several had broken rudders and one had a seat that was broken and could not be adjusted. Several paddlers really wanted singles but had to do tandems because there wasn’t anything else. The weather did not cooperate but not anyone’s fault. The last day walk to the restaurant from the beach was too long to do in kayaking shoes so we all went home with blisters. Ivan included. The scenery was beautiful and we paddled a cave too.

      Exceptional Kayak tour
I booked a tour directly through Adriatic Kayak Tours as it was recommended in my lonely planet guide and it was by far the highlight of my trip to Croatia. Mislav was a wonderful teacher and guide, I did the full-day tour of Kolocep island, snorkeling, and cliff jumping in and around the blue cave and then getting the *best* sea bream I have ever had on Kolocep island. I had never kayaked before but Mislav's instructions were clear and he was incredibly helpful. I would say it is more strenuous than a moderately physical activity as we were paddling for several hours but the views and experiences were well worth it for me. Next time I come back to Dubrovnik I'll be taking another Kayak tour with Adriatic, I had such a wonderful day.

      Price changed without notification
I was on the week long Elafiti Island hopping tour. The tour guide was solid. The accommodations were very modest. From the time I booked the trip and offered to pay, until the time that payment was finally requested at the end of the trip, the prices all went up. When I asked the owner to honor the price of the tour at the time that I booked it, since she was the one who postponed payment, she declined. Her website does not say that prices are subject to change. I would not take another trip with this company for this reason.

      Awesome island excursion
Communication with Tammy (company owner) to set up the day was great. We had an awesome time with our guide, Mislav. The ferry to/from Dubrovnik allowed for a way to see some sights away from Dubrovnik; the kayak ride from Lopud was a perfect distance and provided a beautiful perspective from the water; and the bike ride through Sipon was so scenic. A lovely lunch was at a small family type restaurant near the water. Mislav was a joy to share the day with - he made sure the equipment suited us just right, was very personable and took plenty of pictures for us to recall a special day. Definitely recommend!

      Ten out of ten adventure
What an amazing day. Kayak, snorkelling, swimming, hiking and even some cliff jumping. It was great to see the Blue Cave, but the rest of the day adventure surpassed our expectations. Our host was Mislav who was great and really went out of his way to make the tour special and to ensure we had enough photos to celebrate a highlight in our visit. Highly recommended for a great escape out of the hustle of the city

Get active and out on the islands
This was excellent. Good guide - explained what needed to do and there to help. Good day out and returned safely. I suggest you need to be confident on water even if not brilliant at kayaking and reasonably fit. could have been more visible at meeting point. Good if want to be active and get out on another island

      Puts the customer first
A 5 star review for a tour we didn’t even get to take…. But why? The tour operator puts the customer first and communicates fantastically. We received a message two days before the tour saying the weather forecast looked sketchy but that they would monitor and keep us in the loop. They even gave a specific time on the morning of the tour at which they would make a final call (which they did precisely) This allowed us to book onto another tour (sunset kayak round the city walls) at the last minute. We all have too few holidays at our disposal so a company that helps you maximise your time is top notch in my book. The tour was subsequently cancelled due to weather and refunded promptly and automatically.

A great day spoilt by being rushed to accommodate the guide
There were only 4 people on this trip which suited us but the guide wasn't particularly interested in accommodating us. The village we cycled to was lovely and so was the food. We generally felt we were being rushed from place to place though. The guide was okay and friendly enough, but not a good guide. The kayaking was quite strenuous but doable if we hadn't felt so rushed. He insisted on towing me back for the last leg because he was in a hurry. (he wanted to get back early to sort a personal thing). I wanted to enjoy the experience of kayaking which was spoiled.

Worst tour experience I’ve ever had
Was supposed to take this tour, but I followed the instructions that they sent me and showed up early but there was no tour guide. I tried contacting them and walked around searching for half an hour. When I contacted them for help they initially didn’t respond but were then rude and condescending and would only allow me to rebook if I removed any negative reviews. Obviously I declined.

Our 3 day kayak trip was simply fantastic. Our guide Ivan was superb and great company. It was all just fabulous. Well organised, friendly, relaxed, great food and drink and amazing sea kayaking experiences (and the extra bonus walks on the islands too!).

Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to kayak beyond the bay and go through the caves so we were not able to do this or go cliff jumping. We were also not led to a good snorkelling spot so we just kayaked around the Bay. The guides were good and you could tell they were safe but the trip itself was a little underwhelming. We had 11 in our group so there was a lot of waiting around both at the start and the end of the trip.

Unfortunately, we can't control the weather. Client safety is a primary concern. You refer to "guides". Our maximum group size is 8/ AKT guide; a second guide was added to accommodate the larger group. There are plenty of sea kayaking companies in Dubrovnik that take out groups of 50 people or more- City Walls and Lokrum Island tours. Because of the weather (and perhaps the group's level of experience), your guides did not feel it was appropriate (safe) to leave the bay and paddle in the open sea. One of the great features of our 1/2 day Zaton Bay kayak tour is that you can stay in the protected waters of the 2.5 km deep bay and still have an amazing experience. Zaton Bay is lovely. 10 km north of Dubrovnik, the bay has 3 small villages filled with coastal life and is free of the high volume unregulated motor boat traffic encircling Dubrovnik and Lokrum Island.

We had a fabulous day with Tammy doing the half day Zaton Bay tour. We were driven out of the city to Zaton Bay, got into the kayaks, paddled around the coast, stopped at a sheltered cove where we swam, snorkled and cliff jumped, and then paddled back. The scenery was wonderful, and all the activities were great fun! It was lovely to see the fish, and it was a great spot for diving into the water.

The difference between this and other Dubrovnik kayak hire is that Adriatic Kayaks do full week kayaking holidays, and so are set up with real kayaking in mind. Many of the tours you can book in the city are very large groups in the busy harbour, with two-person sit-on-top kayaks. Adriatic Kayak Tours drive you up the coast away from the city, and have single person kayaks with sprayskirts and storage compartments, and smaller groups. 'Realer' does come with slightly more effort (we helped carry the kayaks down to the water, and rinsed off our kit at the end of the trip, and there aren't any loos or changing rooms!) but it is much more fun. It was great to have one kayak each so you could paddle where you wanted to and really feel how the boat responded to you.

This kayaking tour is so much better than the ones that start from Dubrovnik old town! It really exceeded our expectations. We met our guide in Dubrovnik and then drove out to Zaton Bay. Firstly, the drive offered amazing views. Once we arrived, our guide instructed us on how to set up the kayaks and paddle. Zaton Bay is a lovely quiet place with amazing scenery! There were no crowds. We paddled around for a bit, visited the Blue Cave (where we saw some bats) and then had quite a lot of time for cliff jumping. Our guide was experienced and instructed us on how to climb and jump in a safe way. I'd really recommend this tour! We were a group of six and everyone enjoyed the tour.

I recently was in Dubrovnik for 4 days with my family. We had a morning free and wanted to do a last-minute kayak trip. We happened upon a brochure in the tourist information center for Adriatic Kayak Tours and decided to stop by their office and see if they had any availability. Booking the 1/2 day Zaton bay excursion was super easy which was especially nice because it was so last minute. Our tour guide was Dui ( I'm sorry if I spelled that incorrectly) and he was great. He was very careful to explain everything we needed to know and we all felt very safe with him. We kayaked to a small cave and then over to a secluded beach where we were able to cliff jump, snorkel, and take a small hike to a scenic overlook. They provided all equipment including the snorkeling gear. It really was a great time and I would absolutely recommend it.

From the beginning of this trip, my husband and I knew were in excellent hands. Before we even got in the water, Ivan took the time to teach both of us how to paddle, how to get into our gear, and secured our things in a water-proof container. Then we were off! The water was unbelievably clear and calm (apparently this is common in the Adriatic, making it perfect for beginners!), and Ivan was so friendly and knowledgeable about everything (the area's history, class, politics, wildlife...). We explored a cave, and swam and snorkeled in Zaton Bay (the water was a little cold). We could have done some cliff diving too, and swam in the cave--Ivan let us dictate the tour and move at our own pace. We were the only two on the tour that morning, due to a last minute cancellation, which was lucky for us, but it's an absolute shame that more people aren't taking advantage of Adriatic Kayak Tours. It was our favorite part of our Croatian vacation--absolutely beautiful and Ivan's expert handling made it easy too.
