She is incredibly knowledgeable about the city and also very open, sharing her personal experiences and showing us into the heart and culture of the local city. Communication with Vesna to schedule was easy and professional, and her knowledge of the history of the area and the way in which she communicated it were outstanding. - H5230PDdanielp0 contributionsEye-opening walk - we learned so muchVesna was such a cheerful and knowledgeable person to spend time with while exploring and learning about Dubrovnik's long rich history. - Charliedeutch0 contributionsA must do everywhere you goThis tour opend our eyes to so many things about the Jewish people in Dubrovnick and the role we played in the past. While there are not many Jews still living in the area we do have a presance in other parts of Croatia.. In the old city our area is preserved and this tour showed and explained so many great things. Tis is a must for any Jew and non Jew to see our heratige and experiance an old synagogueWritten July 1, 2024

- debbielU8842LP0 contributionsHighly recommend Walking with Vesna’s Jewish Dubrovnik walking tour. What a treat to spend two hours with Vesna on our walking tour of Jewish Dubrovnik. We learned so much about the history of Croatia as well as of the Jewish history and Sephardic Jews of Croatia. Ideally we’d have chosen a longer tour as she has so much to offer, is happy to answer our questions about the subject matter and Croatian culture, and so skilled at sharing her knowledge in an easy to understand way. Vesna also accommodated a last minute schedule change with us. I can see why all the reviews were so positive. We definitely recommend Walking with Vesna. Thank you! L, D, J & JWritten June 17, 2024

- Netanya610 contributionsOutstanding Walking Tour of DubrovnikOur walking tour with Vesna was outstanding. We took the Jewish Heritage Tour and it was a complete tour of Dubrovnik as well as sights and history of Jewish interest. Vesna provided a tremendous amount of information in a very well-organized and fun walking tour. Honestly, her tour was the highlight of our trip to Dubrovnik. Don't miss it.Written October 23, 2023
- shayna7970 contributionsFantastic tour of Dubrovnik. We took a 4 hour tour of Dubrovnik with Vesna, walking the walls together (which was very worthwhile- I was initially going to do them on our own but I’m so glad we had the guide), and of the city and it’s Jewish history, including a stop at the Synagogue and it’s museum, one of the oldest communities in Europe. It was a fascinating day seeing a place that has long been on my bucket list. Fantastic.Written October 11, 2023

My wife and I had a wonderful tour around the Dubrovnik Old Town. Vesna is a joy to chat with and is an excellent guide around the city. She is very knowledgeable and curious and we couldn't ask for a better tour. I only wish that we had time to go on one of her other tours. We will have to return to Dubrovnik in the future!
I would recommend her tours to anyone visiting Dubrovnik. She was born, raised, and lives in the Old Town -- I can't imagine you will find a better guide in Dubrovnik.

If you really want to walk in the streets of Dubrovnik then you must walk with Vesna. Her historical knowledge is amazing, has lots of stories, urban legends and anecdotes to share....and her English is superb. Vesna is also an extremely nice person and has a great sense of humor. You will have much fun and still learn a lot. Even if you have small kids with you. Thank you Vesna for another tour, it was a pleasure, as usually 😁

Thank you! Somehow our tours became like a stroll over the city with good friends, not like a tour with some customers. And that is what makes a difference!

We spent the day with Vesna walking the Old City-her personal knowledge and stories of growing up in Dubrovnik brought the place and it’s history to life for us-after our tour with Vesna we took the cable car up to Napoleons fort and the museum there made a huge impact on us-May we learn from our past and move foreword in peace💜and a walk around the City Walls are a must do!

She was extremely knowledgeable of all things Dubrovnik and beyond. She was born and raised and still lives inside the walls of the old city. Her family has lived under 5 different country governments. Understands the history the culture. She gave us more time and information than we paid for. She is the best!

Communication with Vesna was via email and she was quick to respond and customize our time and tour based upon our schedule.
We met at the cable cars and had a three-hour tour around the old town including the walls. Vesna was so informative and shared the amazing history of the town.
Additionally, since Vesna had grown up in old Dubrovnik she could share personal anecdotes and how the town had changed and the stories that were passed down from her family.
I would highly recommend a tour with Vesna as a starting point to your time in Dubrovnik. It made the rest of our time there so much more vivid and enjoyable.

We did this tour on our first day in Dubrovnik and as well as being interesting , informative and fun it set us up for the rest of our stay with things to do, places to visit and places to eat.
We learnt a lot on the tour and every recommendation Vesna gave us worked out really well during the rest of our time in the area ....it was like having a guide for the whole stay.

Vesna is a fabulous tour guide. She met us at the city gates then took us on a excellent tour of Dubrovnik. Her history knowledge of the history is impressive. She is born and raised in the city which even made it even more interesting. Her walking tour is not to be missed. We would recommend her tour to anyone that is interested to learn from the best about this amazing city.

My husband and I traveled to Dubrovnik with our 29 year old daughter, and our 26 year old son and his girlfriend. We spent an amazing three hours with Vesna exploring the city walls and other parts of the city. Vesna was able to answer all of our questions from questions about history and culture, to experiences during the 1990’s war, to Game of Thrones sites. We highly recommend Vesna!

You can’t get anymore local than Vesna. She is one of only 1,000 residents of Old Town and has lived there her whole life. Her apartment has been in the family for over 500 years. Not only is she an expert on the history, but she has wonderful stories of what it’s like to live in Old Town like how no company delivers anything past the gate and how her grandmother used to get locked out of the city at night when she was late and they closed the gates.
I highly recommend doing the tour in the early evening. We started at 5pm. The cruise boats were gone as were the rest of the crowds, and Vesna strategically walked us around the city and walls such that we were in the shade almost the entire time. And when it’s 90 degrees out, that makes a huge difference!
Thank you Vesna!

My mother is an active and knowledgeable 83 year old and would like a small tour of the city. She knows alot about European history, but would like to know more about Dubrovnik's history. But she will not want to walk fast or too far and would like to keep away from the crowds too. Would you be able to guide her, myself and 24 yr son around? Thank you Caroline
