Along the way, admire the scenery and hear snippets about Dubrovnik’s history and legends, together with what life was like during the 1991-1995 Croatian War of Independence. - aishaviolet0 contributionsA DUBROVNIK MUST DOCouldn’t recommend this excursion more ! A perfect way to see Dubrovnik and watching the sun go down over the old town will always be a core memory . So glad we had this experience with adventure Dubrovnik - so easy to find and the guide Ivana was a dream - her knowledge and enthusiasm for the city of Dubrovnik was infectious and she gave us so many amazing recommendations , we can’t wait to try them all out , for this reason I recommend the kayaking as your first and most important activity of your trip ! No better way to view the city . She was also comprehensive in showing us how to actually kayak so it doesn’t matter your level of experience . Highlight of my trip was going to the cave and snorkelling , must do !! The waters are warm and so so clear, lots of fish to see . I truly enjoyed every second ! Thanks so much Ivana you’re the best !Written October 17, 2023
- 912banksw0 contributionsOld Town view from the water, snorkelling, and great guides! We really enjoyed this kayaking trip, the opportunity to see the Old Town from the water is amazing. Neno, our guide, was fantastic and had plenty of stories about the area to tell. Snorkelling at the cave was also really fun. We highly recommend this trip.Written October 16, 2023
- MadMadison900 contributionsWonderful, romantic, and educational!Had an absolutely wonderful time without guide Neno! I wasn't expecting for us to learn so much about the history of Dubrovnik during the tour itself, but Neno found some perfect moments to tell us about some great stories and moments from the history of the town. The tour itself was challenging but not overly strenuous, so we left with a real feeling of achievement but no muscle pain the next day. The perfect outdoor holiday activity for people looking for something a little adventurous!Written October 15, 2023

Kayaking with the beautiful view of Dubrovnik is a highlight of our Croatia travels. - Ed L0 contributionsHighly recommended kayak experience with Neno10/10 experience kayaking with our instructor Neno. He was very informative and funny. We had a great time and learned very quickly how to kayak as first timers. The views are amazing and water is super clear. Would recommend for anyone!Written October 10, 2023
- DarrenR9780 contributionsNo need for a guideThe kayaking was great. Swimming around the cave was the best part. To be honest, I’m not sure which company we used. There are 3 of them right by the Pile Gate with the same kayaks and same prices. We (2 couples) took 2 doubles with no guide. I’m not sure what value a guide brings. You just follow around the outside of the walls and then follow the shore a little further for the very cool cave beach. Why go with a group and be forced to go at the speed of the slowest person?Written October 9, 2023
- Bill S0 contributionsKayaking in DubrovnikEnjoyed the day very much - one of the highlights of our trip. Easy to find where to meet and we headed off with Neno our guide to get ready as soon as most of us got there. They had two waterproof containers - one large container for a small backpack, shorts and our shoes. The second smaller container was for the fruit snack they provided and our cell phones etc. As we have only done a little kayaking in the past, we were a bit concerned if we would find it difficult. We found the kayaks were very easy to use and we did the 4 1/2 km with no problem. Neno was great - gave a short kayaking instruction - told us what we were going to be doing and stopped to gather us together and to tell us what we were looking at and giving a little history and info about the area. We were a little ahead of schedule, so we took a 10 minute swim break on the backside of the island we went to. We then went over to an open cave where we had 1/2 hour free time. Ate our snack and Neno had some snorkeling gear for us - swam around and checked things out - really a pleasant experience. Then we kayaked back to the start. Neno knew all the best locations for photos, so he just used his phone and snapped pictures for us. He sent the photos to us after we got back. All in all, I would say it was definitely worth it.Written October 8, 2023
- lukebO7834EQ0 contributionsDubrovnik adventure!Absolutely must do when you are in Dubrovnik. You can see so much of the city and there tour guides are brilliant at showing you round. Ivana was amazing, she helped us all from start to finish, explained everything well and didn’t make it too forced. Nice small groups, felt very personal at a very reasonable price!Written October 8, 2023
- dumbdigit0 contributionsA must do tripA wonderful way to spend the late afternoon. Ivan, our guide, was full of information and stories about the surrounding sights. A cat hotel and a house built for the blue eyed mistress as well as the more traditional historical facts. We snorkelled and swam with the fish and then sat in the kayak watching the sun go down. A very very good trip finished off with a glass of wine and some nibbles. Thank you IvanWritten October 8, 2023

This tour was one of the best experiences we had during our holiday in Dubrovnik. A special shoutout to Andro as he made the experience that much more memorable. It was my mums first time kayaking he was super lovely reassuring her she would be okay, teaching us great kayaking techniques but also staying near so she felt safe. He was very kind in making sure everyone had something to eat with the right dietary requirements. He also found us a starfish and a sea urchin to hold. He was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area and how they are special to dubrovnik. Denis was also super knowledgeable about the history of the area and took frequent stops to talk about it but to give us small breaks from the kayaking. I would highly recommend adventure Dubrovnik for anyone that wants to see amazing views, swim, snorkel and take on an adventure no matter what ability!

Highlight of my trip! I’ve seen a lot of sunsets and been on dozens of boat trips but Kayaking is a whole different experience. Kayaking with Jacob and Dean who were super fun and cool was superb, they were Super patient and professional even though we had a lot of trouble in the beginning. Kayaking into the sunset and along the amazing city walls of Dubrovnik is an experience I will always remember. Plus wine at the end is always a bonus! *Warning: ‘needs a bit of upper body strength and energy, you will think when is this all going to end when there’s still loads to cover but the rest stops along the way make it very do-able’ I highly recommend this to anyone who comes to Dubrovnik, get the sunset slot, the views are spectacular!

It was more amazing that we ever expected. Dennis and Edin were perfect guides, we learned a lot about Dubrovnik history and legends. The Sunset tour leaves you speechless, especially at the end when the sun goes down. Worth every penny, we will surely repeat the experience when we’ll come back.
It was our first time kayaking, we feared we won’t make it till the end but the thrill was fantastic.
The sandwich and wine were really good and they also provided water. We enjoyed a lot the stops at Betina cave and Lokrum. Amazing water and views! Be sure you won’t miss the experience while in Dubrovnik.

Booked through get your guide online, which was easy to do - then meeting the organiser outside the old city at 5pm. It was cheaper to book online than any of the walk up prices for the guided tours which I think a little odd due to the commission the website much charge them ! Our group was of around 6 kayaks we were provided with tubs to put bags in so they were safe on the kayak . Our leader Andre was great with small stops along the way for a few facts on the city. We kayaked around the island and although it was hard going it was worth it. Stopped in a cave and then in a cove for our break of a sandwich and some water ( all provided ) before heading back. We were out for approx 3 hours including the breaks. A highlight of the trip, and I was glad we did it in the evening as it would have been too hot for us in the day

One of the highlights of our first trip to Dubrovnik. The kayak tour was fantastic. Although not experienced kayakers we were able to keep up with the group. Yacob & Edin were brilliant guides & stopped regularly throughout the tour to give us lots of interesting facts about surrounding areas. We stopped at a lovely beach/cave for sandwiches & a swim before heading back to starting point. Yacob & Edin made the tour fun & interesting & we felt safe throughout the time we were out on the water. We’d recommend this tour for lots of fun & value for money & will definitely use this company again on our next trip to Dubrovnik (we will be back for sure).

Kayaking right into sunset, it was truly magical. The views were beautiful, I would recommend to do the full longer route around the Lokrum island as it’s really nice and relaxing. It’s well worth not feeling your arms the next day if you’re not used to paddling. Our guides, Jakob and Juraj were great, very friendly but professional and made regular stops so it didn’t seem so hard although we were paddling for 7.50 km. Great job guys, Tnx for everything.

You’ve probably seen that there are multiple Kayaking providers in Dubrovnik. If you want knowledgable, personable hosts, and a wonderfully enjoyable tour around Dubrovnik old town and Lokrum, choose Adventure Dubrovnik.
Andro and Dennis were our hosts, with Andro providing a safety briefing and instructions for anyone who hadn’t kayaked before (which included me!) before we set off.
On the 7km tour, we stopped in multiple places, including a couple of stunning caves where we ate the sandwiches provided for us (Andro said his mother made them with love, and it showed ;) ). We made regular stops for people to catch up and catch their breath, during which Andro provided more information such as a history of Lokrum and the etymology of “Dubrovnik” itself.
At the end of the three hour tour, we were treated to a wonderful Dubrovnik sunset while paddling back towards our starting point and a glass of wine.
Finally, a special mention to Andro. He’s a natural guide and excellent communicator. He took the time to include everyone in our tour, asking people where they’d come from and why someone should visit their home countries, taking time to questions, and providing interesting tidbits and recommendations throughout. He is the single best tour guide I’ve had on any trip, in any destination, and is a credit to Adventure Dubrovnik.
Thank you Andro and Dennis. We will be recommending Adventure Dubrovnik to anyone who visits your beautiful city.
Our arms are going to ache in the morning…

WOW WOW WOW , what an amazing trip.
All the infomation on the website was very clear, concise and informative so we knew exactly what to expect, where to be, what was involved and what would happen. We were kept informed with emails between booking and going.
There was someone at the pickup point exactly on time who led us to the beach - there are a few other companies offering similar trips so can be a little crowded but to be expected in August. We were greeted by Ivana and Uri who were very friendly. As we were a group of 23 (their max is 24) we were split into two smaller groups , 12 + 11 with a guide each. We got Ivana. After dishing out the snacks, consisting of a ham salad sandwich and a bottle of water, we were given waterproof barrels to store our belongings ,bouyancy aids and full instructions. Ivana told us about the tour and what to expect before getting into our kayaks exactly as described on the website.
On the tour we went around the Island and to a cave, with a few stops along the way for others to catch up and for Ivana to tell us about the diferent areas and the history of the city. The cave /small beach was quite busy so we waited a couple of minutes for a group to leave before landing our kayaks. After having our tasty sandwiches and water, we had time for a swim and snorkle (also provided). It was lovely to swim with the many fish that were there. After about 30 mins, or so, it was time to paddle back to the beach where we started.
I highly recommend this tour. Great value for money as we were out for 3 hours and covered 7km and a great way to see another aspect of the city and learn about the history.

I really recommend sea kayaking in Dubrovnik for anyone who likes water sports - it’s a great way to get to know the city better, and see it from another perspective. The atmosphere during the trip was amazing thanks to the guide Andro - who was professional, explained the technique of paddling, made sure everyone was safe, told us a lot about the city and it’s history, about the island and the curse! ;), and also made some funny jokes so we had a great time.
The caves were really beautiful, just a little bit too crowded. The sandwich was surprisingly good!

Hiya. It is my fiancees birthday and wanted to make the trip as special as positive. Do you offer any private trips to do for just the two of us?
Written July 12, 2022
My best advice woukd be to contact the good people at Adventure Dubrovnik directly to see what they could do for you.

Is there a secure location to keep backpacks and personal belongings during the tour?
Written June 19, 2022
Yes! You are given a big waterproof plastic drum to put your back pack in and it gets attached to the canoe to take with you. You are also given a smaller drum for your phone so it's easier to access for photos etc (if you want to).

Hi! We'll be mooring/docking at Dubrovnick on the 11th July, 10am - 6pm, as passengers abroad the Royal Carribean, Brilliance of the Seas, ship. Could we book excursions directly with you? if so, how do we know the departure times of the excursions in order to allow us to get back to the ship or mooring/docking venue.

Our cruise was in about same times, the kayaks went every few hours. My sons went at 12.30 and were back by 3.30, times are shown on websites. The shuttle bus should drop you at Pile Gate which is city entrance and also start of kayak tour so really easy. Hope that helps
