Impressive Old Village with an Attractive Han Restaurant
In a tour from Dubrovnik we arrived at Pocitelj, a lovely old village with old buildings and defensive walls. There are small shops with beautiful souvenirs and stalls with local products such as jams, wines, but also vegetables and fruits. There are a wonderful han - a restaurant built old style, with a terrace where they serve a consistent lunch with a very good coffee. We appreciated the courtesy of the staff.

        A fantastic, must-do day tour!
We booked this tour through a well known tour website rather than directly, but could not be happier that this company ended up as our allocated tour conductor. Our guide was Zac (excuse the spelling if incorrect) who normally drives large tour coaches in the summer. We were an extended family of 6 so Zac drove us in a luxury minivan. Zac was a superb guide and driver. As he does this tour often, we gained from his insights into what to see, where to go, where to stop for convenience breaks and where to eat. He was very friendly, enthusiastic, proud of his country (he is a Dubrovnik local) and extremely knowledgeable. We also gained from his local insights, his familiarity with the border crossing procedures and staff, and his intimate knowledge of the areas you will visit. The tour itself is an absolute must-do. In the off-season, it is easily done as a comfortable day trip. There were no crowds or waiting times and the roads were not busy. The parts of Montenegro you will visit on this tour are stunning and magical. So close to Dubrovnik and yet so different. There was plenty of time at each stop and we never felt rushed. Do this tour with Zac. You will not regret it.

        Natural treasure of Herzegovina
Kravice is a natural treasure of Herzegovina, probably one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the country. It is worth a visit for anyone visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. Possibility of swimming in summer days.

        Dear Guests.
I was visiting Dubrovnik during the off-season (January) and was hoping to find a day trip into BiH, lest the sparse choices. I picked a random day and was contacted by the company asking if I could switch to another day to join other guests. I agreed, and I am very happy I did. In our group was four people total. I was picked up on my own near the pile gate, then we drove the mini-bus to two other hotels to pick up another solo traveller and a couple. Zack was our tour guide extraordinaire, who was so jovial and full of positive energy, and a great sense of humor; I can't imagine a better guide! He was able to give us so much history almost non-stop on our way to Pocitelj. It was a pleasure to hear him so enthusiastic about his country. The couple that was with us actually had a slightly different itinerary from me and the other solo guy, but Zach made it work! He dropped us off at the Kravice waterfalls to explore on our own, and drove the others to their destination. We had about an hour to look around, which was more than adequate for us. The last stop was Mostar, where Zach recommended a place to eat. Like all tours of this type, there's always a little bit of an agreement somewhere behind closed doors, so it did seem slightly 'forced' but we were all very hungry and completely willing to go with his suggestion. If you wanted to wander elsewhere, there's no gun to your head. All in all, visiting during the off-season is a total win. Some places might feel slightly 'rushed' if you truly like taking your time, but they need to keep to a tight schedule. I felt the timing was just right. Mostar was still a bit crowded, so I can't imagine how overwhelming it is during the summer. But the car ride there was a breeze, including the border checks which is mostly a systematic informality than anything else. TL;DR: Zach is a fantastic guide, you cover 300+ km in a day, the Kravice Falls and Mostar are definitely worth the trip. You're on a fairly tight schedule, but still feels like adequate time. When you get home in the early evening, it all feels like you had a dream.

Great trip - saw and learned a lot!
Everyone on our tour was picked up just outside Pile Gate near the Tourist office, where a lot of tours pick up. The tour was scheduled to start at 7am, but we received an email to be at the pick up location at 6:30am. Since a lot of tours leave from this same spot around this same time, you need to be constantly listening for your tour and your name to be called. The Super Tours van was not well marked. But everyone was accounted for and we were able to leave by 6:50am. Be sure to bring your passports as Mostar is not located in the EU and you will go through passport control. The tour guide collected the passports as we boarded the bus. Our driver was Nenad and he was very friendly and very funny. He only had a canned script/description of what we were seeing in a few places. Otherwise he depended on customer questions and he answered them all and included a lot of useful information. So be sure to ask a lot of questions – as he clearly loved to explain things. We learned a lot. One lady said she doesn’t remember the last time she laughed that much. The tour was well run and we had plenty of time at each stop but also not too much time – we were never bored and waiting. We stopped at Pocitelj, which was a nice stop and a climb to the fortress and then we stopped at Kravice Waterfalls where there was plenty of time to view the falls and even go for a swim in the ice cold water and finally Mostar. At Mostar the tour guide pointed out a restaurant and strongly suggested we try Bosnian food from that restaurant, which was also a great experience as the food was excellent and the presentation of the food was amazing. A lot of food for such a good price. Bring cash (euros) to Mostar. As it is easier to pay with cash in all the little shops and kiosks and the prices are good. Also be sure to wear good walking shoes as the streets are made of shiny, worn down, cobblestones. All in all, this was an excellent trip and Mostar was definitely worth seeing. There was plenty to do.

Montenegro is a hidden gem and budget friendly
We flew into Montenegro via Ryanair from the UK. Flight time 2 hours 20. We hired a car and drove around visiting Budva, Kotor and Durmitor National Park. Driving was very easy as there was no traffic anywhere. Roads are twisty as it is a mountainous country but the roads are good quality and very smooth without potholes. Visited the old towns in Budva and Kotor both of which were lovely. Eating out was good value. It was 16 degrees on the coast. We then drove to Durmitor National Park for snow. It was -9 degrees. Driving in the snow was easy. Roads are ploughed and gritted frequently. No chains needed even for snow novices like us. It was a fantastic holiday. Very budget friendly. Easy to get around. Most people spoke English and were friendly and helpful. Scenery stunning. Definitely a hidden gem

        Not happy with this tour
We were very disappointed in the Christmas Lights Tour. It was poorly organized and a tour is a misnomer. It was an open house. We arrived At 4 pm on Friday night. Picked up our tickets and took a trolley two blocks. We were dropped off and had to wait in line with over 100 people to board a trolley to Hayes Plantation. We waited 90 minutes outside to board a trolley. It was dark when we arrived, so we could not appreciate the gardens. There was no tour leader. No one gave us any historical information. The people inside just greeted you. We were so disgusted and disappointed that we bailed on the rest of the tour. Saturday afternoon we took a Trolley Tour. That was fantastic. Barbara and Clayton were knowledgeable and on time. I would recommend that. The Historical Society had sold 2400 tickets for the Christmas Lights tour. They had no clue how to accomodate the crowds. The restaurants in town were jammed. I felt that it was just a huge tourist trap. I hope that they improve it next year and learn from their mistakes .

Stunning Montenegro … MUST DO… will be back!!!
This was our final tour on a long trip and one of the best ever! After seeing the stunning beauty of Dubrovnik, never thought that Montenegro can come close but it was absolutely brilliant! Was worried about border control from EU to non EU but they are very organized and quick so long as you have the multiple entry Schengen visa to re-enter Croatia / EU and we didn’t need a separate visa for Montenegro. The Adriatic Sea continues its beauty down south from Dubrovnik and our first stop at Parast was from the heavens. A beautiful, winter sunny day, serene and quiet (with hardly any tourists on Dec 8!) and a boat ride to the island of Our Lady of the Rocks. And walking the Parast boulevard soothes your soul in ways few places do. Off then to Kotor and the beautiful Old Town (Dubrovnik old town is magical too!) which so much to discover from the St. Tryphon’s cathedral built in 1166 - with an amazing museum on the upper floors - to lovely cafes and stores. Then to the coast side town of Budva with a lovely lunch and stunning views of the Adriatic, especially from up above the citadel and a nice walk in its old town. All this and back peacefully to Dubrovnik in 10 hours (including a lovely 10 min sea crossing on a car ferry!). All in all, one of the best days on tour and one of the most beautiful countries to visit. HIGHLY, highly recommended … I hope to be back someday to stay. Our driver cum guide, ZAK, was an absolute delight, who took care of us, knew everybody everywhere, played some lovely music and energized us with his positive spirit, happy vibes and loads of fun. Thank you so much, Mr. ZAK 👍😊🥂

        Mostar trip for a couple
We are a couple from the U.S. We took day trips from Dubrovnik. Our tour guide Zack was Excellent. We LOVED Mostar. Such a beautiful place. Zack was a good driver, knowledgeable guide and friendly. The van was clean and comfortable. We rode with him on two separate tours; one to Bosnia and one to Montenegro. He was great on both ends. All his restaurant suggestions during the tour were also perfect. Both days were long but it’s the only way to see as much as possible and it was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend Zack the company for tours.

        Amazing and fun trip
I'm so happy I decided to do this trip. First, our driver was terrific (I forgot his name, sorry) - helpful, friendly, informative, and funny. Our stop at Pocitelij was a nice glimpse into an historic site, with a lovely climb up to and inside the tower. I also really enjoyed going into the mosque. The falls were amazing from top to bottom, and provided another nice little hike. Mostar was interesting. It seems like kind of a sad city, with a lot of ruined buildings and evidence of the war, with the central historical part completely overrun with tourist shops. But it was lovely and definitely worth visiting. Our guide gave us a lot of hstory and cultural context while staying away from current politics - a delicate dance he accomplished nicely. The drive alone was worth the price. The coastline of Croatia is something to see, along with the plains of Bosnia-Hezogovina and its magnificent agriculture. Well worth the price!

Lovely Experience, Extra Private off Season
We took a private day tour to Bosnia from Dubrovnik. Our guide Zac was very friendly from the start, sharing history of the region, culture of Croatia and Bosnia, and pointing out significant sites/towns along our drive. He even stopped for some pomegranate trees, which we had never seen before. November was a perfect time for this trip, and we basically had the falls to ourselves! It was a long drive but none of our stops felt rushed. Our time in Mostar got rained out a little bit. While weather is a bit of a risk in the off season, we really enjoyed not having crazy crowds. Trip was totally worth taking

        Great full day trip
I was actually booked on the Elaphati Islands trip but it got cancelled due to the bad weather and I got asked by Supertours if I wanted to join this trip instead which was very nice. I’m so glad I did, it was a fantastic day from start to finish. I got picked up from my hotel where I joined 7 other people. The driver/tour guide was so knowledgeable, he told us some historical facts along the journey, he would know the answer to all your questions. The first stop was Ston where we wondered around, if you like your history and scenery you will enjoy. I chilled and stopped for a coffee and talked to an artist. Then back in the car after I think 1.5 to go to Korcula where we took the ferry. Korcula was really nice, right by the sea was which was lovely to watch and take photos. Again lots of wondering around taking in the scenery, there’s a bell tower you can explore, lots of history, I stopped for homemade pizza for lunch. The tour finished with a wine tasting which was so nice! I was then dropped back to my hotel. Thank you!

        Fantastic, one day, 'full-country-feeling' tour.
Wonderful tour down to Mostar with Matteo as our guide. First pit stop is Pocitelj a small historic village. A short climb reveals the most amazing views and the small ongoing population gives it a lovely continuing 'cared for' village feel. (30 minute stop.) Next stop - the gorgeous Kravice Waterfalls. We were so lucky to visit in October as our small group of seven had the entire place to ourselves! (Bar a few other lucky tourists.) The waterfalls are simply breathtaking. I felt lucky to just sit and gaze and breath in the gentle spray. Spiritually up-lifting. (1 hour stop.) Next on to Mostar. Entering The Old Town was like stepping back in time, although I now know that much had to be rebuilt. A wonderful place of combined culture. I particularly enjoyed the old Turkish houses and had a lovely meal of Cevapi (grilled meat fingers) with a chilli chutney. Perfect. (3 hour stop.) Our minibus was comfortable and Matteo was very kind, knowledgable and attentive to our needs. We were lucky to have a quick border crossing (both ways) so the day didn't feel too long. Can highly recommend. Really felt like we saw and did as much as we could in a one day trip to a country. Final note: Felt very safe as a female solo traveller.

        A good day
We had a small group of 8 and I would say we had a good day today with Stjepan our guide. He was very concerned for us generally and was always courteous and helpful. My only concern was his driving. He is a very good driver but regularly drove too close to cars in front and very fast. There were times he exceeded the speed limit. I was also able to notice that he was quite tired when driving. On the way back he also checked his phone, whilst driving in a queue of traffic. I don’t think we were in specific danger, but this wasn’t safe. He needed a co driver as it was a long way for one person. 4 hours in Mostar was far too long.

Firstly, the pickup spot was DANGERous! Travellers had to cross a busy highway, at morning rush hour for 3 times just because they gave out a pickup address at the wrong side of the road. Nobody knew what ride was or who was gonna pick us up.

Secondly. The trip description was a LIE!
We picked this tour because it was advertised as a small group, about 15 people - LIE!
There were 44 people. Instead of a minivan there was a big bus.
It was really stuffy and hard to breathe. When we asked to please to do something about it, the bus driver grumpily started fingering the air vents and mumbled something in the line of "god damn sheep". He couldn't solve the problem so a driver from neighbouring bus had to step in and flip the AC on.

Thirdly there was supposed to be a knowledgeable tour guide. - LIE!
The tour guide we had was incompetent (bless her soul, probably a really good person). She only started talking somewhere before the Montenegro border and all the information was monotonously read off a few pieces of paper, which she clearly hadn't even read through the night before. She seemed really not to care what she was doing, just to get it over with and that's all. Shame!

We couldn't visit Lady of the rocks, which was understandable as the weather was bad, really windy. We where given a hour in Perast. Totally pointless there was nothing to do other than walk one street.

The drive towards Kotor was uneventful as the information shared was again, monotonous and useless... :(

Arriving at Kotor this strange tax of 1 euro was forced upon us. This should've been included in the price.
LIE! - The advert sayd there was gonna be a small tour in Kotor. There was no walking tour of Kotor historical churches. LiE!

The stop in Budva was confusing... We where dropped of at an construction area and told that we have 2 hours to walk around. Where directed towards the old city, which was a 20 min walk to get there and 20 back. Many in our group didn't know where to return.

The end of the trip continued in the same general fashion.
This was sadly and regretfully a waste of time and money.

Do NOT book this trip until the false advertising has been changed!

Sorry for such a bad review but this is the reality! This tour sucked :(

I came to Dubrovnik on a solo trip and decided to take this tour based on the good reviews. It was definitely the right decision! Our tour guide, Ivan was so great, he was very professional, was able to answer all of our questions about the cities and the countries, and he gave us great recommendations for restaurants. Our local tour guide, Boian, was also wonderful!

Ivan picked up me and the other person on the tour next to the Pile Gate and gave us an introduction. We asked him questions as he drove us to the first destination, then gave us time to walk around each place. Every place we visited was absolutely beautiful, and cities / towns that I otherwise would not have seen. I highly recommend this tour! Although one note, I paid more by booking through Trip Advisor, but the other person on my tour booked directly with the company and paid less than half of what I paid.

My Wife and I decided at the last minute to book the Full-Day trip to Montenegro whilst on our trip to Dubrovnik. After booking the trip we received a WhatsApp message asking us to confirm the location of our hotel for the hotel pick up and the time we had to be ready for.

Our tour guide Tanya, was amazing and very knowledgeable about Montenegro and also Dubrovnik and was very willing to help with any questions or queries. Our bus driver was also a very pleasant man but unfortunately I can't recall his name but they both made the day run like clockwork.

      The Stops:
Our Lady on the Rocks - Such a stunning location with an amazing story behind it. One thing to mention here is that the boat to visit the church costs 10 EUR (per person) or the equivalent in Kuna - This is paid to the skipper in cash so make sure you have some with you!

A lovely small old town which is fantastic to explore in your own time. It really should be called the town of cats!

A lovely coastal old town with plenty of places to eat. I would recommend holding off until reaching here to have some lunch. However, there is places in Kotor where you can pick up a large slice of pizza for 2 EUR.

      In Summary:
This is a fantastic day trip and is one I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Dubrovnik!

My only point for improvement would be the size of the minivan. Yes the clue is in the name but the spacing between the seats is very small and could prove to be less comfortable for larger passengers or challenging for those with mobility issues!

The trip started at 6:30am and we got back to Dubrovnik at 7:30pm, we stopped 3 times, once for 50 minutes, and the other 2 times for 2 hours, so 8 hrs of this trip was on a very hot bus-a/c was not adequate for the very hot day! The first stop we were bundled on to a small boat which we had to pay €10 and we were taken to a small island with a small church and museum which although very nice was a bit crowded, the only thing it was a beautiful setting with lovely views around the lake. The second stop was kotor which again was very nice and had a lovely old town. We were then dropped in Budva at a derelict/half built building, it took us about 15 mins to walk into the old town along the beach front, by the time we had something to eat we had to rush back to the stifling bus again for our 3 hour journey back to Dubrovnik with a trip on a petrol fuelled car ferry to break this journey, we were dropped off on a main road in Dubrovnik and had to find out way back to our starting point, although the tour guide Sandra was very nice and knowledgable and worked very hard to organise a coach load of tourists, I would not recommend this tour

While visiting Dubrovnik we came across the company Super Tours from our arranged airport transport which we decided to do two of their excursions during our stay (Montenegro and Bosnia).

The tour to Montenegro was excellent our tour guide Tanya and driver had great knowledge of the areas and towns we visited and went out of their way to answer any questions we had about the history of Montenegro/Dubrovnik. The bus collected us at 7am and returned just after 6pm but it didn't feel like that long traveling with the stops and tour guide talking while we reached the next destination.

I would highly recommend Super Tours for all of your excursions or airport transfers while in Dubrovnik we really enjoyed our time and its a great way to visit another destination while visiting Croatia!

This was a great tour but a very long day. We were ready at the Pile Gate in Old Town Dubrovnik at 6.45 am for pick up at 7am. As we had already been on another tour, we knew the drill to locate your tour (keep your eyes and ears open for your name to be called by numerous, different tour guides!!). We got on the bus and it departed promptly. We sat on the right hand side of the bus as enjoyed sea views until our toilet break/coffee stop before the border crossing. The border crossing took about an hour (where all you are doing is sitting on the bus waiting). It is the biggest time waster of these tours into other countries. First stop was Prevast and the joy of the surrounding scenery. It was perfect weather, the blue of the sea mirroring that of the sky. When getting off the bus at Prevast, you have a choice of wandering the town or a short boat ride to Our Lady of the Rocks. We chose the boat trip but in hindsight, wish I'd chosen to wander the town. The boat trip cost 10 euros and last maybe 5 minutes. They drop you at the island to wander for about 20 minutes. There is a museum and the Catholic Church on the island, with a fee to enter. We didn't bother and just waked around. At least being on an island gives a different perspective and opportunity to photos. This islet is man made and legend has it that back in 1452, someone found an icon of the Madonna and Child and decided to leave a rock there after every sea voyage, thus building the island. We returned to shore and back to the bus where it was not far to Kotor. This walled town of Kotor is lovely and we happily wandered here for two hours, enjoying pizza and gelati. You can walk the perimeter walls but it is very steep and I don't know that it can be done in the two hour window and you'd need to be pretty fit to even try. Once again we returned to the bus, sans a few passengers who did not come back in time, despite waiting. We headed to our final destination of Budva. I don't feel that Budva had the old charm of the other two cities but it was still nice. It is more likely to be a reflection of me being tired by this time. I do think it would have been lovely to have a swim, had we planned ahead with bathers and towels. We walked to the old town and along the beach but I think we were very ready to head back to Dubrovnik by then. We got back on the bus, taking a ferry across the Bay of Kotor to shorten the journey home. However, the queue at the border crossing was horrendous. We were dropped off at our morning collection point at 10pm, making it a very long day. I don't know how the tour guide and bus driver manage it, day in and out. Super Tours were great, our guide pleasant and informative and it was good value for money.

Very nice day trip, nice places to see and a very kind guide to let us know more about the area.

Last stop in Budva was a bit too short, they should give people two hours plus time for lunch and not two hours (lunch included), nice restaurant on the beach, I wonder how much commission they receive to drop us off in this particular restaurant… same with the boat to get to Our Lady of the Rocks in Perast, I realized (too late) that cheaper options existed than the 10€/person asked for a 5 minutes return trip to the island.

Nice experience overall, would recommend it anyway…

We had a great day and our driver was really knowledgeable and nice, giving us lots of historic information on our journey from Dubrovnik.

The night before we received a message from the tour company asking us to change the day that we booked because there was 'a better driver' available the following day and a 'small issue' with the schedule. We said that we couldn't change as we were flying home early the next day.

We originally booked the coach tour but were picked up in a small Mercedes van with just 8 people. This was lucky for us as it meant we didn't have to go on a big coach with lots of people. We think that the tour was overbooked which is why they were trying to get us to change the day. Fortunately, we were in luck and didn't have to pay for the small group experience to get this!! We were picked up from our hotel at 7am and returned at 6pm approx.

We reached the border at 8am (opening time) and got to the first destination, Perast, before lots of other tourists. We spent 1 hour here but it would have been nice to spend more time here as it is such a beautiful village with scenic views.

We then drove further to Kotor, a lovely old Historic town which is similar to Dubrovnik, just smaller. We had 2 hours here and were able to hike up to the top to see beautiful views and sit down and have a coffee.

For the 3rd stop, we drove to Budva which was a nice place but no where near as nice as the other two stops. We had 2 hours here to explore but there really wasn't much to look at.

Overall, we would have preferred to spend more time at the first two stops as the third stop was not very exciting and talking to the other passengers on our trip, all of us said we would have rather not gone there and spent more time elsewhere.

This was a very good trip overall and we had a great day, but there was lots of travel time as part of the day. I'd recommend this tour to people who are in Dubrovnik for a few days and are looking for something else to do once they've 'done' Dubrovnik. Montenegro was also much cheaper than Dubrovnik which was a bonus!!

We were given the wrong directions regarding pickup. It was a bus stop but on the wrong side of the road. Since it was morning rush hour it was really dengerouse to run across the road if it turned out that thats where the bus is.
The tour description did not match the tour! It was written that max 15 people per group and a minibuss. Reality was 44 people and a big bus!! We picked this tour because we thought it is a smaller group. The bus air conditioner was not working properly and with 44 people on the bus it is a problem.
The guid was not competent. She was as interesting as a bag of rocks. Most of the time we drove in silence and when she talked something she just read some facts from a piece of paper with a monotone, doubtful and stammering voice. That was really sad because we passed a lot of beatiful places and she could have talked something about those. Also maybe some interesting facts? It was really dissapointing. On the border she just chat on facebook instead giving us info about the day.
In the tour description it is written- walking tour in Kotor. There was no tour. We were all wondering around ourselves. Same in Budva.
The time we had in Kotor and Budva was not enough. Both 2 hours. In Budva we were droped off quite far from the Old Town so the walk took already at least 15 minutes.
On our way back again silence. No info how long our trip back is taking, which road we are taking and what we will see. We passed Tivat on our way back. Also a nice town. Maybe guide could have said something about that also?
For this money, it seems that it makes more sense to come on your own. You see more and you are the master of your time

Hello Silja S, Our group tour to Montenegro was always a coach tour. Can you please double-check your listing, we believe you might have booked with another agency. Kind regards, SuperTours

The guide Ivan was excellent and knowledgeable. That said, on balance I wouldn’t recommend this tour as it was very expensive and very poor value. Although it lists at $64 per adult, my child and I were charged $180 each and then on top of that we still had to pay to visit Bay of Kotor and to get access to walk up the stairs for views. There are certainly better values and ways to see Montenegro in a small or larger group than this tour through SuperTours.
