Olga was our tour guide and she is exceptionally good at her job. Very knowledgeable about the history of the Palace and about Split. I enjoyed this tour a lot and gave me hints of where I wanted to come back next to explore the palace grounds. The food was great (according to my partner), however if you are vegetarian this isn't really value for money.

At our last food destination there were 3 large plates all with different seafood to share amongst the group (very good servings - you won't go hungry). The kitchen did prepare me a plate of salad but it came out after everyone had finished their meals (approx 30 minute wait) so it was very disappointing to sit there and wait all that time whilst the others were eating - for one small plate of salad.

Overall the tour was great and I highly recommend it but if you're vegetarian/vegan then you may be disappointed with the food options.

Had a lovely tour guide but didn't get her name - beautiful dark hair woman on Saturday 14th May at 10.30am. Obviously loves her job and very knowledgeable! Super friendly and personable. Got to see main points of Split and try lots of interesting foods and some booze too.

I do think the group you're with affects your experience a little too much.. if it's not the best then you may find sitting together through dinner for over an hour a bit difficult... perhaps people should be seated in
Their separate groups?

Unfortunately the woman managing the office of the tour group was very rude over the telephone when I called to say we would be 12mins late (our uber driver was in another city so we could not find him for a long time then had to cancel and rebook - completely out of our control!). I did not expect the tour to wait for us to arrive, I simply wanted to join in later - but the woman would not listen to me and was very rude and aggressive over phone, talking down to me. Not appropriate treatment for people giving this much money to your business.

I am so so sorry if you have got the impression that I was rude or aggressive. I was nervious about all that situation and wanted to help you. Also I could not hear you well over the phone. I tried and I did all the best to connect you with a guide because I didn't want you to miss some of tastings you payed for. I really don't understand how did you get me that way, I'm so sorry. I am actually the owner and I always do my best to keep our guests happy! I am so sorry that my exited tone spoiled your mood. Wish you all the best!

Olga was a great tour guide through all the interesting food in split. The green market on a Saturday was busy, but she made sure we all could hear her and take part. She had great commentary and spoke very clearly for everyone.

Come hungry because there was more than one sample per item.

We’ve done many walking food tours in different places. They’re always great fun, and this was no exception. Olga was a fantastic guide - charming, funny and super knowledgeable. We started in the green market, tasting local meats, cheeses, breads and olive oil, before moving into the historic centre of Split where Olga gave us insight into the history of this amazing place. Two hours quickly passed before we arrived at a local restaurant for homemade pasta, fish platters and wine. The knowledge we gained on the tour enabled us to return to the green market the following day to purchase the most fantastic picnic which we took to the beach. Thanks Olga! Sooooooo good.

Doris was great after a history of Split and Croatia she guided us through the green market to sample lots of local produce the layered garlic bread was just wow!
We continued through the Palace to the lunch restaurant where we had a mixture of dishes to sample and wine.
Finished in a local icecream parlour.
Well worth it especially on first day of our holiday as we've been back to the market already.

We loved this tour! It was small (3 couples plus our guide, Doris,) and afforded great conversation, making new friends and eating fantastic food. Doris did a marvelous job of sharing information not only about the food, but also great history of the Diocletian Palace and Old Town. The prosciutto and cheese, wines, truffle pasta, street food, risotto, seafood and ice cream were delicious. Our group ended the evening after the tour listening to live music in the ruins of the palace. Doris was terrific and we really enjoyed our time with her! We actually went back to a few of the places she had taken us to and had even more great culinary experiences! Great way to get a feel for the area and it’s trademark foods!

Olga took a group of six of us around Split. Just amazing experience. We had everything from local cheeses, prosciutto, risotto, clams, some local dish which I forgot the name of, and tons of delicious wine! Likewise, we learned a lot about the city of Split, from its Roman origins, the development of the Croatian alphabet, the importation of Egyptian monuments, as well as the importance of the local football team. Couldn’t recommend it enough!!

We had a wonderful morning with Olga who was very knowledgeable about Splits history. We tasted some delicious traditional food in the Green Market, walked around the Old Town and finished off the tour with lunch and wine in a restaurant. A great way to get to know Split a little better and Olga was fantastic.

The tour was an excellent experience and you will miss out not doing it. Our guide Katrina/Katarina ;) was super charismatic and entertaining.

The tour takes you through the centre of split while visiting a range of non tourist trap restaurants and food stalls. The history part was fun too, as splits architecture and history is very varied because of all the different empires who was ruled there.

I recommend you do this tour early in your trip as Katarina was giving away lots of tips of where to eat later and where to shop local food and wine.

It was a 10/10 tour, I cannot recommend this highly enough.
