Our tour guide was selected for us by Unforgettable Croatia Tours. We communicated our tour preferences and as luck would have it Ante was our tour guide! What an awesome experience. Ante was so knowledgeable and personable. A member of our group has family roots in a village near where we were passing by. While we were touring in Mostar Ante researched the family name of our friend and located the family home, driving us there and sharing the information from the village. So above and beyond our expectations. At the end of our tour in the village we were unexpectantly treated to his family home with fresh pomegranate juice. wine, grappa, bread, cake and “angry cherrys” made in the family home by family members. It was a most wonderful surprise and an awesome tour. I highly recommend tours by Ante!! Eileen

We had a great day with Ante. He picked us up from our hotel and took us to his family’s place approximately a 1.5 hour drive away. Along the way, he stopped and showed us several beautiful and interesting locations and places to stop and take pictures. He told us so much about the history of his country and the neighboring countries as well as much about the economy and culture in Croatia and the neighboring countries. It was very fascinating. We visited several locations on his family property viewing various items used as a way of life in previous decades by his ancestors, as well as viewed the local harvest of pomegranates and olives. We were served a delicious brunch of prosciutto, various fresh cheeses, fresh figs, grapes, plums, peaches, tomatoes as well as homemade bread and a wonderful refreshing white wine and cherry liquor and cherry juice. After brunch, we toured his family land and also went to two lovely and scenic waterfall locations. We followed this by another wonderful meal called “peka” at his family home of slow cooked veal ribs and potatoes and red wine. We were given a very fascinating demonstration of how this dish is prepared. We were also served a delicious refreshing salad of homegrown tomatoes, green bell peppers and cucumbers with a light vinegar and oil dressing. This was followed by the most delicious watermelon and cheesecake. We ended the day by driving a scenic route along the Adriatic Sea back to Split. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with Ante and learned so many things about his home country and culture. Thanks so much for a great day, Ante!

From the start he set an enthusiastic and welcoming tone to our trip. Even when things didn’t work out as planned, he made sure to make everyone feel comfortable and excited to wake up the next morning and start fresh. He had an exceptional sense of time and managed to keep us on a schedule even though we were always running late. Let’s not forget to mention the Haggen Dazs hunt! Ante was an exceptional guide. He was an excellent driver, courteous and on time. In addition, he took great care in showing us places of interest and giving us a great tour at Plitvice Lakes. The indicated tour was modified due to some mobility issues and no need for the luncheon. Ante was most helpful in getting us to desired locations and those he felt we would enjoy, and most importantly appreciate little climbing and walking. He is a very knowledgeable guide and safe driver who is passionate about his homeland. Ante was a great guide and an excellent driver. He was very friendly, kind and also very knowledgeable about the areas we visited. First we went to Medjugorje, then Mostar, then we went to his family's farm, where we ate the best food we had on our entire trip. The food was delicious and was prepared by his mother. She even gave us extra cake to take away, which was very kind of her. Then we visited the Kravice waterfalls. All the destinations were beautiful and we had free time in all of them. On the way back to Split, Ante surprised us by stopping and we all got out of the car so he could show us a great view of Omiš.

We took 6 day tours with Ante: Mostar, Ston, Split, Korcula, Trogir and Kotor. We found Ante to be personable and passionate about Croatia, its culture and history. All of the wine and food experiences were enriching and gave us a glimpse into traditional Croatian cuisine. We planned 6 tours over the course of a month in consultation with Ante to provide a wide variety of experiences. He was punctual, polite, knowledgeable, flexible and fun. Ante's specialty is finding great lookouts for photo ops and views!

Ante is a wonderful guide who took very good care of us. He listened carefully to our needs and preferences, and did ample research to ensure we got the best experience during the trip. Throughout the trip, Ante brought us to beautiful places and views. He was very knowledgeable about the history and current affairs of the place, and this knowledge added depth to the trip. The Farm-to-table meal was the best meal we had throughout the whole trip. It was in a homely house, and we were introduced to a variety of Croatian foods and jams. It was truly delicious and eye-opening.

I scoured the internet for a good local guide who could meet both my expectations and those of my two travel buddies and finally settled for Ante based on the many positive reviews left by his clients on Tripadvisor and his reasonable charges. Ante did not leave us disappointed at all, from the airport pick up to the farewell wave. Each morning, his roaring “good morning, good morning” sets the positive tone for the day. He is professional, passionate about his job and always punctual. To top it all, he is a safe driver. While his services did not include accommodation bookings, we faced no issues as he provided valuable suggestions for our shortlisted hotels and apartments. Throughout our tour, he made calls to the accommodations to check their precise locations.
