I went on the 9am trip to Trogir and the Blue Lagoon with my 9 year old daughter. We met at the Sugaman office and walked the short distance with the rest of the group to the port to board the speedboat. You need to have a reasonable level of mobility to board the boat, there was a bit of climbing/balancing, and walking a rocking dock at the blue lagoon.

We had an enjoyable half hour boat ride to our first stop of Trogir. The speedboat looked new, it was clean and comfortable with only 7 other passengers, plus two crew. We had an hour and a half to explore Trogir, a beautiful little town with lots of little alleys with shops and cafes. It was similar to Split but a lot less busy, and more relaxing.

We then took the speedboat to the blue lagoon and had an hour and a half there. The weather was hot but it was a little cloudy so we didn’t get the full effect of the blue lagoon, but it was still an enjoyable trip. I took water shoes so I could have a swim in the sea, my daughter collected shells on the beach. We then went to the beach bar for drinks- my cocktail was a bit pricy and watered down but the white wine was fine.

The wind had picked up when it was time to leave the blue lagoon at 1pm. The dock was rocking as we walked towards the boats and we had to climb across 3 other docked boats to get to ours which was interesting. Because of the weather, we had a very exhilarating journey back to Split. I’m quite a nervous person but I found the boat ride really exciting and I felt safe. My 9 year old daughter also really enjoyed herself, especially the little shops in Trogir, pancakes in a cafe in the main square and the swing at the beach bar at the blue lagoon. The tour guide was friendly and gave us useful info about the places we visited.

I thought the trip was good value for money and really well organised, the timings were perfect with the right amount of time in each place. I would recommend this trip for people with only a short amount of time in Split, it was really fun and memorable.

Really great trip from central Split to both Trogir Island and the Blue Lagoon off the coast of Drvenik Veli island (about an hour fast speedboat ride from Split) The boat was great and really fast and exhilarating; the captain Pio was a charismatic Croatian local pilot and was very entertaining. You get an hour to spend in the very picturesque Trogir town; and around an hour and a half to swim and explore the Blue Lagoon itself. Trip ran from about 9.30am and you are back around 2pm so you don't have to be up too early and you have pretty much the rest of the afternoon to spend yourself (and get some late lunch!) Recommended trip - also worth looking at the whole day 5 Islands version too (which includes the Blue Cave!)

This was a great way to explore the area. We liked that it was a small group, how relaxed it was and that it was only half the day. The skipper and tour guide were great too- they gave some info but also left you alone so you could enjoy yourself and played good music! Also appreciate it starting in the afternoon. While on a vacation we don’t like to get up and rush out the door to have fun.

The speedboat tour was a great half day trip to get even more out of our time in Split. The crew was amazing and made sure everyone had a great time. The weather wasn't ideal at the beginning so they swapped the order of things to make sure we had sun for our swimming time at the Blue Lagoon. 10 out of 10, would recommend!

The boat was fantastic - zodiac-style on steroids holding about 12 people - and was a super adrenaline rush! Even better was our captain Marco who added so much to the fun, and Angela who gave us good guidance on the boat and stops. The beach club restaurant Shkoy by the Blue Lagoon was actually a highlight and worth the trip. The Blue Lagoon had few fish and was crowded, so anticlimactic. The stop in Trogir was for a perfect amount of time not too long or short, and it's a wonderful place for that amount of visit.

Good day trip and great boat captains. Trogir is small enough to see in the available time, unless you just really love reading every single thing in the local museums, or want to hang out for the entire day. Sadly the castle and museums need much more support and investment in order to truly showcase their long history and be worth a longer visit. The Blue Lagoon was also nice, but it is obvious there are too many large boats (with 100+ people), and this will probably cause environmental damage in the long run. If you really want to surprise the locals, bring a trash bag and help keep the shoreline area clean during some of your time there. The water itself was quite nice. This tour was a smaller 12-15 person boat, which I think is appropriate. Finally, I want to say thanks again for the pickup from directly in front of my hotel, it was an unexpected but thoroughly appreciated help to me, and kind of a cool way to start my tour.

Great experience all round made better by knowledgable and helpful staff. Both the Blue Lagoon and Trogir were well worth experiencing by speedboat. A half day trip perfectly balanced between both places and seeing the Croatian coastline around Split on the homeward leg made it a fantastic experience.

A good half day trip out of Split, though the Blue Lagoon experience is slightly overrated. While the water is pleasant for swimming, there is little to see in terms of snorkeling. In addition, the place was overcrowded with boats and people, while the shore area is very small, with no real beach (just stones). There is a bar which offers also sun-beds, but most people spend there roughly an hour or two at most. I really enjoyed the swimming, but it cost me two cuts and a bruise :-), as the access to water comes with the challenge of passing over/through a rocky and slippery terrain.

Trogir is definitely worth seeing, as it is a charming, romantic, small jewel of a town, with wonderful discoveries hiding on each narrow street.

Booked on to this half day tour as we were flying home that evening. The guides were informative and took us to some beautiful places, you get between 50 minutes to 1 hour 15 mins in each place. We were really lucky with the weather and really enjoyed the tour, 100% recommended! When visiting the Blue Lagoon I'd suggest taking your own snorkel and water shoes, the shore is stoney and quite sharp to walk on, plus they warn you of sea urchins (spikey and painful if trodden on), but the water and scenery is truly stunning. We took our own snorkels and there are plenty of fish to see, we also saw some sea urchins in the deeper water too! You get a great opportunity to explore the small towns on the islands you visit.
I definitely recommend this tour if you don't want to use a full day as you get back around 2pm and can still do more.
