We booked the “SPLIT-PRIVATE Emperors walk for history lovers and it was fantastic. Josko was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job. He was knowledgeable entertaining and this tour remains a highlight of our week in Croatia. He shared history, fun facts, and answered every question we came up with. This was a great find - ask for Josko, you will not be disappointed!

Slavco is an excellent guide, very informative and entertaining. This tour was a fantastic way to explore both locations and learn more about the history. We saw places we didn’t originally see on our first walk around the old town so it was perfect for discovering the hidden places. Highly recommended.

With a great humor and profound knowledge, our guide Slavko showed us around and brought the history to life. Thank you, it was wonderful!🥰 and our little friendly dog was allowed to come with for free .....AND :there are funny Christmas trees in Split😂 - see last picture

A really interesting tour with a guide who lived in Trogir, spoke very good English and was easy to hear and understand. As well as the medieval history he was able to talk about more recent times, for instance local employment and his own experience of living there.

An ideal way to start a stay in the city, we had arrived the night before and chose to avoid the palace knowing we had a tour first thing and were glad to experience it for the first time with so much information provided. Our tour guide Jakov was very knowledgeable, approachable and entertaining, even providing recommendations for the rest of our visit.

Rainy day for our tour which didn’t help but we were a bit disappointed with the tour. The guide in Split was excellent so it started well then he handed our group over to be driven by van to Trogir. The driver was giving occasional insights into the surrounding area but we couldn’t hear at all in the back seat. The van was very uncomfortable with poor suspension. In Trogir the guide was interesting but we ended up with about 45 minutes to get lunch and have free time in Trogir. As a group we all wanted more free time but the tour is apparently set up for cruise visitors who have limited time. None of our group were on a cruise ship but we didn’t get the opportunity to request a later pick up. We have done better tours in the past

We had already walked around the palace a little so we could get a feel for the area and to make sure we knew where to meet! Our group was so large that we got split into 3. I don’t remember our guide’s name, young man, pleasant. We covered a lot but it was hard to hear him. It wasn’t because of too many tourists, it was not that crowded. He just spoke low and rather monotone. Not one person had a question the entire tour which is kind of a clue that you’ve lost your crowd. I guess my review is more for the company to remind their guides to read their audience. Sorry for saying this.

Slavko was a fantastic tour guide! Super knowledgeable, friendly and funny. He was great with questions and making recommendations for after the tour. Highly recommend!

It's free to enter the palace, and my friend and I had already seen quite a bit of it, but we were still glad that we did the guided tour & both really enjoyed learning about the history of it. Our guide Ivan had a lovely manner, keeping it both interesting & fun, even despite some rain. I would definitely recommend doing the tour if it's your first time in Split.

Jakob our guide was very knowledgeable and he presented Split as a beautiful city and full of mix culture. He answered all our questions and he was very friendly.

We had lots of rain on our tour, no fault of the tour guide. He did his best considering all the abnormal rain that poured down. Maybe if the weather was better the tour would have been better because I felt like he rushed through everything. Again, not the tour guides fault.

Marija was very knowledgeable and had many great anecdotes about the city. We learned a few things and were entertained as well. I would definitely recommend.

The tour was amazing. .Jacob was personable, knowledgeable and extremely friendly. His expertise of the information was presented in a concise manner and was easy to follow and understand. He has a very deep knowledge of the towns and thier sometimes volatile history. We we never bored. Would recommend him to anyone.

Incredible learning experience. Slavko was both entertaining and informative. His jovial demeanor made everyone comfortable to ask questions and not feel embarrassed. I wish I had his knowledge. We enjoyed the tour so much that we are doing it again but adding Trogir tomorrow. We'll worth the time spent.
