San Lucas Toliman is a Mayan Village where a big majority of its inhabitants are fishermen, farmers, and talented handcrafters. We will certainly suggest a good restaurant to have lunch there with breathtaking views of the lake. After lunch you will have free time to browse around the small village, talk to the locals or buy souvenirs. We will be taking our shuttle back to Antigua at 3:30 pm.

A 5 star trip from Antigua to lake atitlan!
Marlon came to pick us up from our hotel in Antigua in a comfortable, clean air conditioned car. He was such a perfect guide. Explained things to us as we were driving with a lot of care and patience. We stopped in a pit stop and he offered to take photos of us. He really was the perfect tour guide. When we were 5 minutes away from panajachel, he called the guide that was going to take us across the lake and that guide was waiting for us when we got there. Marlon really was A++! Thank you!

          Airport to Antigua
So thankful for our driver Marlon and the booking system set up by Byron. We arrived a bit delayed but driver was patient and super friendly and professional. Despite some traffic from airport to Antigua, we made it one time to hotel for check in. I look forward to working with GT again!

          Fantastic Private Transfers
Getting a private transfer with GT Business and Travel was one of the best decisions my husband and I made while planning our trip to Guatemala. All of the drivers were incredibly friendly, helpful, and punctual. Further, the cars were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend the experience to anyone visiting Guatemala!

Our driver was amazing!! The tour was so fun and it packed in so much! Would probably ask to stay in the first town for a little bit longer, but we saw a lot!

          A Day Well Spent!
What a great experience, all the way from our prompt pickup time by Marlon, his sparkling clean van, to our guided culture tour by Nicholas, a local himself that spoke excellent English. It was a perfect day! The Three villages we visited on Lake Atitlan were all unique and different. Our tuk tuk ride was a highlight, along with the weaving activity with the local Mayan weavers. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to learn more about the highlands of Guatemala and the Mayan culture, 5 stars all the way!!

Unique immersion into Mayan people in isolated communities
Atitlan indigenous communities and Mayan culture preservation are best served by this entertaining, unique yet informative day trip. Senor Nicolas and Senor Marlo tailored the trip to best accommodate our choices (e.g. vegetarian, Mayan language and culture, local street scene). Fond memories of Native people of Guatemala.

Run down on what to expect
First off, the driver who picked us up from our hotel was AMAZING! On time, kind and very friendly. He explained what his part was and that we would make a stop to have breakfast if we wanted and we could use the bathroom there as well. I regret not writing down his name! You get picked up at your hotel and you drive for abt an hour and a half. You are then taken to a beautiful restaurant to have breakfast or use as a bathroom break. After this, there is another hour before you get to where you will meet your guide. Once you arrive to your destination, your guide is awaiting for you. You are then taken to the lake and aboard a boat that will take you to the first stop that is abt 20 minutes away. Note: Here you will need to go up an incline that may be fine for most but to some it may be too much like it was for my bf. You get to see how they make and dye cotton, How they make chocolate and products from cacao and learn about bees, honey and products made with honey. These were awesome to see. I suggest you bring a backpack in case you buy things. After you leave this first stop you get back on the boat and go to the next. The 2nd stop we felt we could do without. There was really nothing there. The third stop we were immediately welcomed by ppl selling things and they were a bit to persistent. Also, we felt like the person that took us around in the TukTuk took us to places mostly so that we can purchase things and not so much for us to take in the culture. Maybe it was the way he worded it. Note: Unless you want to walk the place make sure you bring an additional $125 GTQ to pay for the TukTuk. You have a choice to eat lunch while in one of these stops but we chose to skip and wait to eat when we were back in Antigua. After the 3rd stop you are taken back to where you first met your guide and the driver is there to take you back to your hotel. Note: The boat ride back is a bit choppy, but nothing crazy. Unfortunately, the day was gloomy, so we were unable to view the volcanoes that surround the towns. That would have been a beautiful view to see. Overall, I would have been happy with the boat ride and first stop, but it's all an experience regardless.

          Lake Atitlan Day Tour
We were collected from our hotel by Marlon - our fantastic driver for the day - and drove the 21/2 hours to Panajachel stopping half way for a welcome substantial breakfast- we can highly recommend the Tipico breakfast with fresh squeezed OJ and chocolate. We then met with Lydia, our guide for the day and had a private boat trip across the lake. The 3 villages we visited each had their own charm, and can highly recommend supporting the women’s textile co-operative. Only disappointment was from Nature, it was too misty to take in the full splendour of the lake.

          Amazing day!
I booked this tour for my father and I, and it was absolutely seamless. Our guide Eduardo was beyond fantastic, and our driver Marlon left us feeling totally at ease, even on the somewhat crazy roads. The day was smooth, they were both very accommodating and the knowledge they both had was so great. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone I knew who was coming to Guatemala or who was considering this tour. Thank you!

          The best transport company!
I used this company for all my private transfers while in Guatemala. I booked a round trip transfer to and from the airport to Antigua and to and from Antigua to lake Atitlan. Every single time was so seamless. They are so responsive and were able to accommodate some last minute time changes as well without any issues. All the drivers were professional and on time. Would highly recommend using this company for all your transportation needs!

          Once In a Lifetime Experience
When we booked a day in Puerto Quetzal, we had no idea what to expect. The internet didn't seem to have much information about this port or the area, and the information we did read was inaccurate. Our cruise ship offered an excursion to the ancient city of Antigua, but it was sold out. We booked this private tour instead, and it surpassed any expectation we could possibly imagine. (it also was more cost effective) When we got off the ship, Moses our guide was waiting with our name on a sign. He guided us to a waiting air-conditioned van where a private driver also was. Our guide Moses and the driver Tim were very friendly, spoke perfect Spanish and English, and made great highway time bringing us to Antigua ahead of the crowds and to a very special celebration on Palm Sunday. Having the driver stay with the van all day was key, since there are no cars allowed in the ancient city, and parking was impossible on this special day. Moses our guide shared so many interesting stories and history with us. He lived in the Antigua area, and introduced us to many local acquaintances, shop owners, restaurant owners and the like. We saw many beautiful buildings from before the earthquake, churches, the museum, historical hotels and had an amazing day. Palm Sunday is celebrated by the local church with floral street carpets, a procession that lasts from 10am to midnight, 1200 men carry on this procession in obedience, along with music and floats. We knew that we were very lucky to experience this with the local people. Many visitors are interested in Guatemalan jade, both purple, black and green. Moses took us to the famous jade factory, and then per our request, brought us to an indigenous shop where we purchased some beautiful pieces for much less. At the end of our day, we asked Moses to take us to lunch where he would normally eat. We were thrilled with the mom and pa restaurant we were guided to, and where many locals, not used to tourists at their neighborhood, were happy we shared an afternoon meal, and asked us after if we had enjoyed it, which of course we LOVED it. You can't plan or purchase an authentic adventure like we experienced. I recommend this company, tour guide, drivers 100% and thank them for making a special memory for us.

          A great day!
Our driver was right on time to pick us up. We had a great drive to and from the lake- he was an excellent and very safe driver. Kevin, our guide, was very well informed, intelligent and interesting. He answered all of our questions about the 3 towns we visited and recommended a great spot in Santiago for lunch. The ride in the lancha was an adventure as was the tuk tuk tour of Santiago that we did with Kevin. All in all a very well organized tour and a wonderful day!

          Great trip with wonderful company.
The driver was on time and friendly. They provided water and other sinks along with sandwiches, chips and banana. The food was fantastic. The drive was comfortable and the driver took the time to give us some history of the towns we passed through. It was a safe and educational trip going and returning. Our guide up the volcano, Cesar Peralta was fantastic. He was patient, kind and shared a lot of history and botanical facts as we climbed. The view at the top (not the true summit but the newer top spot due to the 2010 eruption) is truly a sight to behold.
